..in my printer, a J4550, the software complains that "the cartridge has been used, therefore the low ink warning and ink level features will be unavailable". Not the worst thing in the world, but for a cart sold as compatible that's not exactly 100% in my book. Clearly it's HP's attempt at spanking the people that buy refilled units, but when I've had several overpriced "Genuine HP" cartridges fail before they were even close to empty, well, they can go pound sand. I will deal with the lack of ink levels, assuming this one doesn't fail before it's empty. If it does, I'm done with inkjet printers and will jump to a color laser.

I ordered two of the 901 xl ink cartridges and so far i haven't had any problems. i am a middle school teacher and having to buy ink for my classroom can get expensive. so far i've made over 300 copies and i still have a little over half of the ink left. i was able to buy these two for the price of one hp brand cartridge.

Works like brand new. Although I have purchased remanufactured carts previously I was a bit concerned that the quality may be inferior. Not so. This cartridge is indistinguishable from the original new carts. I love the high capacity carts...about 3 times as much production so the savings is significant. Another big savings is that they can be refilled (like new ones, it's usually just once or twice before they burn out).

I should have known. The printer was less than $100 including 2 ink cartridges (never mind that the cartridges only lasted a couple days and less than 20 pages). All the kodak ads inferring that you wouldn't have to replace cartridges as often as the competition. Cartridges had to be replaced almost immediately. I ran out of yellow and that was the end of the cartridge even though the levels of the other colors registered 50%+. Buyer Beware !

This kodak printer uses more ink (or the cartridges are shipped EMPTY) than my HP or Cannon. the ink cost about the same but last 1/2 as long. and when the Software says it is empty even with ink in the cartridge it will not allow you to print at all. Both cartridges MUST show up on the monitor as having ink or you will not be allowed to even try to print. JUNK Product.

In your printer profile, select preferences, then

select draft mode, this saves a lot of ink.

next click Black & White (instead of Color),

this saves you more money.

rename the printer by adding B&W to the name,

ie HP 890C B&W. Use this as your default printer.

add a second printer using the same model you have now.

You now have two logical printers but only one physical printer.

Rename it HP 890 Color for example.

When you need color for the kids reports or greeting cards,

send the print to the color printer, otherwise send to B&W printer.

You can do this with any printer, even at your office to

save on toner if it is a laser.

In the very rare event that it's faulty (unlikely), Amazon.com will give you a new one. Hewlett-Packard makes great accessories and I found these cartridges to last longer than most with more "ink low" warning time than others give.

Doing just a bit of detective work on the internet shows that this product is a product member of Made-In-China.com. That in itself is not bad but there claim that you will receive HP ink in original HP packaging is CRAP. This is really made by Linkcolor Technology Co., Ltd not by or on beahlf of HP. Horrible mistake buying this product; all four of the red dye cartridges leaked (from a package of 16 mixed cartridges). As soon as the yellow tab was pulled, they each immediately began seeping red ink from under the label. The last one leaked quite dramatically (and both of my hands and a good deal of my wife's carpet are now a nice bright red). I could have accepted a second rate product for the price, but this is going to cost me a bunch more than regular cartridges ever would. First bad review I have had to post, but this is the worst product I have ever encountered. Buyer seriously beware!

Original Review 03May13: I received these within 24 hours of my order, as requested. However, these are useless to me, so I have wasted almost $60.00 and still have to buy new Epson printer cartridges. My Epson WF-3540 gives me an error message every time I try to use them and tells me I can only use ink cartridges directly from Epson. I can not use these at all in my printer. What a waste of my time and money.......off to buy some Epson printer cartridges that will actually work in my Epson printer!

I contacted the customer support and they promptly replaced the problematic cartridge for me. However, after some trial and error, I ended up realizing that there might be some kind of issue in the cartridge's chip placement. I put this black cartridge aside with the original cartridge and I was able to see that the chips placements on both cartridges were not matching. There was a half millimeter gap between them (actually the Blake cartridge chip was a little bit lower than the Epson cartridge chip).

So, my conclusion was that if I could leave the cartridge not too low inside the cartridge holder, it could possibly fix my issue. Guess what? It fixed the issue!

Basically, the procedure I used to get it running was to push it firmly into the cartridge holder until I heard a clicking sound, after that I pulled the cartridge out as much as I could without touching its clip (this would ensure that the cartridge would be as high as possible, but without being misplaced). After that, I just closed everything and voila! It worked! Hope this tip helps you!

Original review: My printer is a WF-3520. When I installed the black cartridge in it, the printer simply didn't recognize it. I tried to reinstall it many times, but the printer would either complain that the cartridge was incorrectly installed or that it was not recognized. Now I'll have to waste more of my time to return this product. So, in few words, if you want to buy a headache, go for this product.

I received my order in a very timely manner. I have just today replaced my first cartridge out of my new Epson WF-3540. The opening of the new one was easy. The instruction did not say whether the entire strip of tape or just the yellow tab would pull off. Mine broke, so I pulled the rest of it off and it was stuck really good. The orange plastic tab came off easy. I removed the old cartridge and shook it to see if any ink remained, but it sounded empty. I shook the new one, black, and got ink all over my hands. It appears that the hole in the cartridge that the plastic yellow tab covers are open to the ink well. I wiped it off put it in my machine and a printing it went.

I had been so frustrated with my new printer and how it not only sucked up ink in no time, but also how small the cartridges seemed to be getting. So I went down to the basement and got out my old HP Deskjet and figured I would check and see what ink cost for it. To my amazement, I was able to get this ink and the color cartridge for 1/3 the cost of my current Canon ink. THEN...when I got the cartridge, it is absolutely HUGE compared to the Canon one. So long story short my new printer is "on the shelf" and the old one is back in business! These cartridges are supposed to be compatible with the Brother MFC-845CW. Well their not, I just drop them off at a UPS store for return/refund. This model printer uses LC-51's...I'm going to re-order from another supplier! NOTE: Please change your description...these cartridges are not compatible with 845CW. Oh yeah! Not to mentioned that when you remove a label from the cartridge which states "Remove" ink leaks all over the place! I'm thankful that I was close to my kitchen sink when all of this took place. I ordered 125 black cartridges that supposedly are Epson Workforce 520 compatible. A chip is required for each sub cartridge and two must be replaced at any one time. The package only had one chip. I wrote to EZink123 and asked for my second chip because the Workforce 520 requires replacement of two cartridges at a time. They wrote back and wanted $5 for the second chip. Their cartridges are NOT compatible without the chip and the sales package is not clear that chips must be purchased. It is a scam. I also noted that the company name EZink123 appears to go under the name EZdeal123. I would avoid any cartridges from companies with names similar to these.

As many of us have found, this company seems to have dooped us all. After trying 2 of their cartridges, I finally got one of them to work...for about 2 weeks. Then, ultimately, the cartridges ruined my printer. I purchased Epson ink cartridges and they still didn't work. I ran the head cleaning on the printer and the black ink still didn't work. The black ink was the only one I replaced with the seller's cartridges (that must be filled with the souls of dead babies). The cartridges ARE NOT compatible with the Epson NX420 (if they are, they only seem to work for a short while). When I contacted the seller, they quickly replaced the cartridges but what good are replaced cartridges when they won't work in the first place? When I contacted them again, they told me it was me that was doing something wrong. I asked them for a refund and they asked me to incur the cost to ship the cartridges back to them. I left a negative review and they also asked that I take it down (don't know where it is now which is also suspect). Customer service was laughable. Please, be aware of these unethical folks. They don't care if your printer breaks using their bogus cartridges, so long as they can get you to part with your money. Amazon should get them off the site...

It was a struggle to put 2 cartridges in my Epson Workforce 520. 1 cartridge just wouldn't 'set' into place and therefore wouldn't allow the ink cartridge door to close. After opening 3 of 4 of my new SCIS, I got 2 to fit in well enough for the door to close. After some not so nice noises coming from the printer it started to print an email. Every other line was missing. "Well they're new, I'll try again," I thought. The second copy was worse than the first and the third was completely missing everything in black. By the 5th copy of the one page email I was out of black ink. A complete waste of money and time.

The drum is working fine. However, after a short period of use, the unit indicates the drum is at the end of its life and needs replacement. I am not sure whether the replacement drum does not connect to the machines electrics because ,so far, it continues to function satisfactorily.
