Well, I had to wait a few weeks to get this inkjet refill, but as long as you go by the "always have a spare on hand" method, you should be in good shape buying this item at Amazon. Staples (my local B&M choice) did not sell the High Yield Inkjet Cartridge. Anyone who uses inkjets probably knows you get a MUCH better deal with the high yield cartridges. Also, you only have to go through the hassle of replacing ink 1/2 as many times.

Please note, this product is NOT compatible with the 465CN printer. It states it is compatible with the LC-51 series ink cartridges it only fits the 2 printers mentioned. Amazon listed this as compatible with the 465CN and it does not fit. Just FYI ... can't speak to its quality.

Our law firm bought two Dell 2155 printers for a three-week trial. The printers each came with a single cartridge of black toner. Not wanting to spend $100 a pop, we tried this generic version (says "LD") on it. We've run through two and a half cases of paper, and something like half a dozen toner cartridges, and it's performed flawless at a tiny fraction of the price for OEM toner. I really recommend this product. (The printers worked well too, incidentally.)

Stay away from these cartridges, HP printers do not like them. Sure, they work, sometimes....but the printer is constantly complaining about using incompatible or even counterfeit cartridges. Every single page I print is a problem. The print job will get held up and I will have to go to the printer and read a message on the screen about how this cartridge is not supported and may void my printer warranty. Then I have press OK a few times to continue. Sometimes my print job actually continues, other times, the printer insists on re-aligning the cartridges and prints alignment tests. Printer will sometimes say that the cartridge will not work as configured, which mean that it will not print at all! These are not worth the money savings. Using with HP Envy 110.

It is hard to give 5 stars ("I love it") -how much can you love an ink cartridge? As long as it doesn't leak and the colors are accurate what else can you ask for?

They are cheaper than the HP manufactured cartridges and they work just fine -can't ask for much more than that.

This item arrived on time. I was out of ink and in a hurry to complete paperwork for my business. Installing the new ink cartridges was very easy. Make sure to follow the directions when removing the plastic cover and you will not get ink on your skin. The printer could tell the new cartridges were full of ink. I've likely Reviewed similar ink tanks before yet I'll do these as well. My variety delivered came from "Inkjetcorner" seller.

They work but I don't recommend these if rendering family photo or 6-figure wishful resume. However this ink does suffice for my 'everyday use'.

Canon printers (MX/MP) drink ink like my kids go through Kool-Aid (my experience), and become a pumpkin if any one tank signals dry. Frustrating it is, but at such a low cost alternative these tanks do keep my Canon churning for penny's by comparison.

Recommend for daily inconsequential use. Five Stars for Price/Application.

This ink works great with my Canon MP560. Only thing to be careful with is when you're removing the hard plastic tabs. Make sure you have that part facing up towards you and be careful. Otherwise, the ink works great and printer recognizes it just fine.

if you have a canon printer, this ink is very good. i dont' much care for my particular printer and use it only from time to time and never for photo prints for sale, but as far as the limitations of the printer goes, this ink is fine, no complaints.

Original Review 03May13: I received these within 24 hours of my order, as requested. However, these are useless to me, so I have wasted almost $60.00 and still have to buy new Epson printer cartridges. My Epson WF-3540 gives me an error message every time I try to use them and tells me I can only use ink cartridges directly from Epson. I can not use these at all in my printer. What a waste of my time and money.......off to buy some Epson printer cartridges that will actually work in my Epson printer!

I contacted the customer support and they promptly replaced the problematic cartridge for me. However, after some trial and error, I ended up realizing that there might be some kind of issue in the cartridge's chip placement. I put this black cartridge aside with the original cartridge and I was able to see that the chips placements on both cartridges were not matching. There was a half millimeter gap between them (actually the Blake cartridge chip was a little bit lower than the Epson cartridge chip).

So, my conclusion was that if I could leave the cartridge not too low inside the cartridge holder, it could possibly fix my issue. Guess what? It fixed the issue!

Basically, the procedure I used to get it running was to push it firmly into the cartridge holder until I heard a clicking sound, after that I pulled the cartridge out as much as I could without touching its clip (this would ensure that the cartridge would be as high as possible, but without being misplaced). After that, I just closed everything and voila! It worked! Hope this tip helps you!

Original review: My printer is a WF-3520. When I installed the black cartridge in it, the printer simply didn't recognize it. I tried to reinstall it many times, but the printer would either complain that the cartridge was incorrectly installed or that it was not recognized. Now I'll have to waste more of my time to return this product. So, in few words, if you want to buy a headache, go for this product.

I received my order in a very timely manner. I have just today replaced my first cartridge out of my new Epson WF-3540. The opening of the new one was easy. The instruction did not say whether the entire strip of tape or just the yellow tab would pull off. Mine broke, so I pulled the rest of it off and it was stuck really good. The orange plastic tab came off easy. I removed the old cartridge and shook it to see if any ink remained, but it sounded empty. I shook the new one, black, and got ink all over my hands. It appears that the hole in the cartridge that the plastic yellow tab covers are open to the ink well. I wiped it off put it in my machine and a printing it went.

Is it true that using a Brother MFC-5440CN printer to ONLY print black text emails and word processing documents will also consume the three color ink tanks?

It seems to be true because that is the case with a friend's printer: she never printed color and all three color tanks have run dry and, unless the 3 color tanks were replaced, the printer refused to continue printing in simple black.

These ink cartridges do not fit properly in the Pitney Bowes Postage Machines. There is a computer chip on the cartridge that needs to line up with some pins on your postage machine. These cartridges will bend the pins and render your postage machine inoperable to even Pitney Bowes ink. I know PB ink is horribly expensive but these cartridges have wasted SO much of my time.

This ink was very cheap! For a good reason, the color is barely light pink almost illegible. The machine stops printing after a few days of not being used, the ink stops flowing, I would not use this ink again if I got it for free!!!

Be very cautious when purchasing printer cartridges. I recently purchased an HP 58 cartridge through Amazon. It was printing photos with a very noticeable green tint. A test page revealed the light magenta was not printing correctly. I tried cleaning the print head and contacts to no avail. I ended up purchasing another cartridge from a local office supply. It works fine. That's when I noticed an expiration date on the box and cartridge. The one purchased locally had an expiration date in 2012. The one I purchased through Amazon had an expiration date in mid-2009. It was over a year past the expiration date when I received it. MAKE SURE YOU LOOK AT THE DATE ON THE BOX BEFORE YOU OPEN IT!!!

Seriously, this vendor stinks! The cartridge did not come in a box; only in the foil envelope which is normally within a box. The date on the foil envelope was Oct04. Whether this was the manufacture date or the expiration date it makes no difference. This cartridge was much too old (more than 7 years), and it speaks very poorly of this vendor, pcInk, to try and sell it. I requested a return which they honored, but with a shipping label with which I had to pay for the return shipping, although I stated that the item received was different than what was advertised. Well, its not worth arguing with them about $3 return postage, but I'll never buy from them again. Be wary if you decide to buy from pcInk.

2008! Seriously this is NEW? I ordered 3 of HP#58 ink cartridges. They were supposed to be NEW! They arrived in the individual wrappers and were unopened so I guess some would say they were "new" as they haven't been used before. However the date on them was 2008! If I can rate zero star, I would. It was a complete waste of money.

1) Did not come in a box as shown on picture, but individual wrapping.

2) Printing was awful. Seem black tone was missing or super low. Photo color was very botchy and not smooth. Very unacceptable quality.

3) Will not be buy from this supplier again.

4) Be warned before you buy...

UltraChrome K3 is great stuff, I just wish it weren't so expensive. Since it's the same no matter where you get it, you might as well go for the lowest price.

Regarding yellow ink specifically: keep in mind that your yellow cartridge is going to get consumed faster than the others if your printing is fairly average over the primary colors. This is because you have two shades of magenta ink, two shades of cyan, and three shades of black, but only one shade of yellow. So every other color has 2 or 3 cartridges to draw from while Yellow only has one. This ink will get used whenever red, yellow, or green are printed and green especially occurs very commonly due to the fact that plants are green and plants very often occur in photos.

So even if you just bought a new printer and don't buy any other color ink right away, you might want to just order an extra yellow with your printer because you're most likely to run out of it first.
