I bought these ink cartridges for use with a Canon IP-1500 printer. At $12 for 5 sets (5 black and 5 color), they are about 1/4 the price of Canon brand ink from local retailers. The first set of these tanks I installed worked properly. I printed an 8x8 color photo and it looked good. The tanks snapped into place on the print head with what seemd like as good a fit as the original Canon tanks.

I will update this review after all 5 sets of tanks have been used up, with additional comments about long-term quality of the product.

UPDATE: June 9, 2009

These cartridges didn't last very long, and some of them seemed to be "dead on arrival", non-function right after being unsealed from the original packaging and installed in the printer. I won't buy these again, but to be fair, I was never happy with this IP-1500 printer in the first place. It seemed to go through ink cartridges after printing only a handful of pages.

I could not believe the price on this item, all these cartridges sooooo cheap. When I received them sure enough it was true I got a bunch of cartridges for little money. No problem either, I have not had any ink blotches, runs or clogged print heads. I tell the kids "go ahead and print away the ink is CHEAP"!

No Money saved here. These inks and cartridges Fail in all short term use and testing. I spent most of my time cleaning the printer heads, and throwing away paper trying to print with this ink. Turned out to be a Huge waste of time and $.

The product is a great value. The prints look good. It will be interesting to see how long they hold up after framing and exposure to light over time.

Negatives:

Very frustrating instruction sheet. Clearly written by someone who does not have a grasp of the English language.

Subsequent email inquiries were answered quickly but just as confusing. I was able to muddle through it and figure it out.

For my experience using my Epson Photo R-1800 it was not a plug & play exercise. Had to run the Clean Nozzle routine on my printer 3-4 times before the inks/dye's began to show up on the paper.

Be prepared to work at this. Set yourself up a clean clutter free area to prepare the cartridge filling. It's not something you want to do while doing other things. DO let the cartridges set for at least an hour before use.

I will purchase this product again in the future. I would suggest that the seller work on the instructions. Horrible.

I give the One Set Refillable Ink Cartridge a "I like it" rating because its still in early use. But for the little printing I've done, the result is great. It works just as great as the leading brand. And if it continues to work great, I'm going to save sooooooooooooo much money for more ink. I was told by several people and Dell that you could not use anything but a Dell Cartridge. When I received the compatible cartridge I want everyone to know that it saved me several dollars and has worked as well as not better than the Dell product. I will buy all future cartridges from them.

This ink works well right now, but the expiration date is soon (about six months after purchase). We have bought ink from several sources, and this ink expires sooner than our last several (now empty) cartridges! If you do not use ink quickly, you will risk this ink expiring before it is used up. We are disappointed that the ink we received was already rather old. The ink arrived in the pictured wrappers, without boxes. We will not purchase ink again from this vendor.

These ink cartridges do not fit properly in the Pitney Bowes Postage Machines. There is a computer chip on the cartridge that needs to line up with some pins on your postage machine. These cartridges will bend the pins and render your postage machine inoperable to even Pitney Bowes ink. I know PB ink is horribly expensive but these cartridges have wasted SO much of my time.

This ink was very cheap! For a good reason, the color is barely light pink almost illegible. The machine stops printing after a few days of not being used, the ink stops flowing, I would not use this ink again if I got it for free!!!

This review is for the Rosewill TN580 toner. The product I purchased from a third party vendor through Amazon sent me a compatible (non Rosewill) product. I recommend making sure the product you are purchasing is from Amazon or Rosewill Inc, and not a third party vendor.

I purchased the Rosewill toner 3 years ago through Newegg. When purchasing an after market toner, there are three things to be concerned with:

1) Will the cartridge damage my printer (will it dump toner into the printer when installed properly)

2) Will the print quality be equivalent to the OEM cartridge (ie no stray marks)

3) Will the toner last as long as the OEM cartridge

My experience:

1) Cartridge never spilled or damaged my printer in any way

2) No difference in print quality was noticed from the OEM cartridge

3) I have not used the OEM TN-580 cartridge so I cannot answer this with certainty. The previous cartridge was the one that came with the printer (Brother MFC-8860DN), which I suspect was a 3500 sheet capacity cartridge. My current page counter is sitting at 8685 pages. If I got 3500 pages from the OEM cartridge, then the Rosewill cartridge yielded about 5000 pages, which seems more or less accurate. The last 250 pages or so have been light in some areas as the cartridge neared its end of life. I never received a "toner low" notification from the printer. Make of this what you will.

Some things I do like about this cartridge:

The toner housing is clear. I can see light through the toner compartment I know it is bone dry (which is nice to know that I am not throwing away a cartridge that maybe just needs to be 'shaken' a little) (you should never shake a toner cartridge).

It worked extremely well and never gave me a single stray mark

Performed just as well from day 1 through 3 years while it was in my printer

Overall, the cartridge met my expectations. I know I didn't get 7000 pages out of it, but there are many factors that could affect this, especially with a cartridge that claims a service life of 7000 pages.

Finally, the cartridge I received through an Amazon vendor is not a Rosewill toner cartridge. 1) The Rosewill toner comes in a Rosewill box 2) The toner compartment is clear 3) The label on the cartridge gives instructions for cleaning the corona wire on the drum. 4) I would not hesitate to purchase the Rosewill RTCA-TN580 cartridge again.

Spend the extra money to buy through Amazon or Rosewill, or purchase from another reputable dealer. You're already saving over half the cost of the OEM toner. Why did I not follow this advice? I can't remember :P Hopefully the "Rosewill equivalent" toner will perform adequately.

I decided to get this instead of of original HP cartridges because original are outrageously expensive and I need to do lots of color printing and the cost to value ratio was getting out of hand. So far I'm happy with this cartridge, the only gripe is that my HP7400 multifunction printer can't tell the INK level left in the cartridge, but quality wise the outcome of the prints using this ink are the same to my "naked" eye. I'm printing in Fast Normal mode always to save the INK and I'm not able to tell the difference between this print and HP based ink.

I will update this review after I find out how many pages I was able to print with this cartridge compared to HP one.
