I figured I am saving money after three refills and have a BUNCH more in the bottles to use. I've tried the non-Canon cartridges and always had problems. This way, I get to use the Canon cartridges, not have problems and save money. Win-win-win. Printer is a Canon MP780.

If you go this route, find the YouTube videos to learn how to do this without making a mess. Have some paper towels handy and protect whatever surface you're working on preferably with something the ink cant get through like a plastic bag, then a paper towel and there's your work area.

For Canon BCI-3 and BCI-6 series ink cartridges:

I use electrical tape to seal the area that allows ink into the printer. I call this the "bottom-front" of the cartridge. If you do not seal this and add ink to the cartridge, it *will* leak ALL OVER (don't ask why I know this).

On the top-rear, there is a "PUSH" in a circle. This is where you fill the ink into the cartridge. I use a small phillips head screw driver to punch that hole open large enough for the ink injector to fit. I use an adjustable crescent wrench to keep the cartridge vertical and steady.

Pick the appropriate color, use the included syringe and "needle" to fill the syringe and fill the ink cartridge. Leave about 1/4" airspace in the cartridge reservoir.

TAPE THE REAR-TOP CLOSED. DO NOT REMOVE THE TAPE FROM THE FRONT BOTTOM "FEED". For the top tape, I use a thin piece of duct tape securely affixed to and sealing the hole. I planned ahead for easy removal the next time refill is done.

The tape on the top hole creates enough "back suction" where the ink won't leak from the front bottom feed. KEEP THE TAPE ON BOTH.

When ready, go to the printer. LEAVE THE TOP TAPE ON UNTIL THE NEXT TIME YOU REFILL.

At the printer (have paper towels available), remove the bottom tape (see? the ink stays in because of the top tape!). Carefully clean any excess ink near the bottom with the paper towels you brought with you.

Install the cartridge.

I wear many hats that require daily printing of various documents--LOL. That being said, being able to print without worry of running out of ink or half faded pages is crucial. Just as crucial, if not more so, is the necessity of keeping printing costs down; enter the refurbished cartridge. I was extremely skeptical, but feeling particularly parsimonious, so I took the plunge, and I'm glad I did. I'm keeping a loose count on how many pages are being turned out by the first of these four, so will report back if for some reason it falls far below the estimated quota, but so far, I absolutely can't complain. Thanks to the manufacturer for an affordable and effective recycled product!!

They don't last nearly as long as the genuine article. Perhaps another source of replacement cartridges would work out better than mine did.

Best Deals for Lexmark 13619HC Color Ink Cartridge

After I ordered, the Lexmark Color ink cartridge 13619HC in October, it was graciously replaced because the only color that printed was pink. Last week-end I decided to use the replaced cartridge, much to my dismay it had leaked black ink inside the foil wrapper. After cleaning off the ink, I inserted it and tested it. The test page was light gray--no color what so ever. I am wondering if all these ink cartridges are defective. I am NOT happy with this product!!

Dear Amazon,

I need to make DOUBLE sure the order I placed for 5 BLACK ink cartridges is correct. In nearly ALL of the reviews, 98% of the customers that ordered the 5 pk BLACK ink only got ONE or two black cartridges and rest were COLOR. Customers were misled and CHEATED from what that company advertises on your site. They thought they were ordering black ink only. How come Amazon did nothing to correct this or dump that company? I will be very unhappy if I too, was misled and cheated when my order arrives in a few days. Please contact that company and show them the reviews on your website so that my order will be 5 BLACK INK cartridges not color! I do not need nor want color cartridges at this time. The listing says it a 5 pack of black...it's not! I read a review that stated otherwise, but I decided to order anyway. They were right. This was a pack of 3 color and two black! For people like me that already have extra color, and just wanted black, it's very deceiving. Still a good price, but it's not what it says! They work fine, but I think a 1-star is deserved for not being truthful.

I have tried many replacement inks and there was always a slight disappointment but not with the Sophia Global inks. They are a true replacement. When these are compared to Canon's overpriced inks, I am simply unable to tell the difference in the color, performance or longevity of the printed product so far. I gave them 3 stars because the inks did seem to last a good while, they were inexpensive (have seen less expensive that performed better). I did receive my order very quickly, and for home or personal use these were fine. I had a couple that no matter what I did (pushed hard, started the ink myself by pressing on, etc.) the printer simply would not recognize the cartridge. The chip was still on it but my printer just did not like it!! The other cartridges did okay for the money. I would not recommend them for anything professional (resume's, reports, photo's, etc.) but they are fine for home use or everyday print jobs. Not quite as clear as some inks I have used but, they are definately much better than a lot of compatibles I have tried. A few leaked a little, but nothing major. Not the BEST but NOT Bad if you are looking for inexpensive, volume printing.

These are great cartridges at a great price. Their only drawback is that photos fade a bit more quickly in strong light than with the official Canon inks. But then, I don't print a lot of photos, and I can always reprint them after a few years if necessary.
