I figured I am saving money after three refills and have a BUNCH more in the bottles to use. I've tried the non-Canon cartridges and always had problems. This way, I get to use the Canon cartridges, not have problems and save money. Win-win-win. Printer is a Canon MP780.

If you go this route, find the YouTube videos to learn how to do this without making a mess. Have some paper towels handy and protect whatever surface you're working on preferably with something the ink cant get through like a plastic bag, then a paper towel and there's your work area.

For Canon BCI-3 and BCI-6 series ink cartridges:

I use electrical tape to seal the area that allows ink into the printer. I call this the "bottom-front" of the cartridge. If you do not seal this and add ink to the cartridge, it *will* leak ALL OVER (don't ask why I know this).

On the top-rear, there is a "PUSH" in a circle. This is where you fill the ink into the cartridge. I use a small phillips head screw driver to punch that hole open large enough for the ink injector to fit. I use an adjustable crescent wrench to keep the cartridge vertical and steady.

Pick the appropriate color, use the included syringe and "needle" to fill the syringe and fill the ink cartridge. Leave about 1/4" airspace in the cartridge reservoir.

TAPE THE REAR-TOP CLOSED. DO NOT REMOVE THE TAPE FROM THE FRONT BOTTOM "FEED". For the top tape, I use a thin piece of duct tape securely affixed to and sealing the hole. I planned ahead for easy removal the next time refill is done.

The tape on the top hole creates enough "back suction" where the ink won't leak from the front bottom feed. KEEP THE TAPE ON BOTH.

When ready, go to the printer. LEAVE THE TOP TAPE ON UNTIL THE NEXT TIME YOU REFILL.

At the printer (have paper towels available), remove the bottom tape (see? the ink stays in because of the top tape!). Carefully clean any excess ink near the bottom with the paper towels you brought with you.

Install the cartridge.

My Lexmark printer told me that the printhead needed replacing. I bought this printhead (which is the correct one) and no the printer tells me that everything is ok; great news right? NO! My Lexmark Pro705 printer malfunctioned. I could not clean the print head probably due to lack of use. The printer would dump ink on the paper. I gambled $50 that it was the print head and ordered a Lexmark print head from InkPlusToner. InkPlusToner was very fast in shipping the print head to me and when I installed it, the new print head fixed the problem. I have my printer up and running. Although it was labeled "Genuine Lexmark", I could not find Lexmark anywhere on it or the instructions. I rate this product as 5 stars and I'm very happy with it.

I had run out of both black and color toner the same week, so was happy to see the good deal on the combo. I was pleased to see an option without packaging so it was better for the environment. I've already installed both cartridges and printed a half dozen pages with color photographs. The cartridges are the same high quality as I've had in the packaged product. I'll get these again when I need them. I am very happy with the purchase.

This is terrible ink. Colors look very faded on prints. Days after a printing the ink came off onto my fingers just from picking up one of the horrible prints. Bought because of positive reviews, but obviously the other reviewers must be hard of seeing.

If you are just printing plain run of the mill printing these inks will work fine. But they are not the same ICC profile as the OEM and the colors are really off. I suspect this is bulk Chinese ink from different batches so they couldn't provide an ICC profile if they wished.

I have used the same brand of cartridges for the last two years, but this is the first time that I have ordered them from this company. The price was good, but they must be old or defective because the print quality is not good and these cartridges last only about half as long as the ones that I have previously used. If they were not in new HP packaging, I would think that they are refills. Might still be. Not really happy with this batch.

My first indication that all was not right with this Canon combo pack from pckInk was when it came in an envelope too small to hold the package shown in the picture. When I opened the envelope I found the four ink cartridges loose (!) along with the 50 sheets of photo paper. The cartridges were labeled Canon (the paper had no label), but there was no Canon-labeled box like it shows in the picture.

Unlike the experience of another reviewer, the correct cartridges were included: black, yellow, cyan and magenta.

When I began printing with the black cartridge, the print was noticeably grayer than what I had been getting before with my genuine Canon cartridge. I had seen that gray color once before -when I used an off-brand cartridge. The reason I bought this product was because it was advertised as genuine Canon.

It is obvious to me that pckInk sold me a counterfeit set of ink cartridges falsely advertised as Canon.

What can I say about this ink? Two days after the package arrived my printer quit working. LOL. Not the ink's fault though, something went wrong when I turned the printer off and the carriage stopped in the wrong place and refuses to return to where it should. So I bought another Canon and now I'll eventually need ink for that. I almost always buy my ink here at Amazon instead of hassling with local big box retailers. Sure, it's typically cheaper on Amazon but I just prefer the ease of dealing with this company. I've never tried the generic inks and I probably won't. If it's worth printing a large photo on special paper then I want the quality to last.

Canon has continued to make changes to their printers and despite the fact that our printer is only a couple of years old, these ink cartridges are getting hard to find. They're almost not present in retail stores, so its good to find the genuine Canon product at a decent price. I still despise how they practically give away printers at relatively good prices but then stick it to you for the life of he machine with insane prices for ink. This set is a substantial savings over buying them individually, but still too expensive. I don't trust refills or after market brands.

This was an excellent price for the inks, with the added bonus of print paper. It was well packaged and arrived in excellent condition...and early.
