Canon PG-40 Black Compatible Ink Cartridge Review
I purchased a re-manufactured ink cartridge for my Canon MP160 printer hoping to save money but all it did was cause me stress and more money trying to fix the problem. The item was delivered and I immediately placed it in my printer. It printed the documents but only every other line. I cleaned out the printer heads and trouble shoot it some different ways but all with the same problem. Then I contacted the company and they sent me back a reply that was very unprofessional with TONS of grammar mistakes as if they are a false company. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!

These cartridges both black and color start signalling low ink levels when you have used less than half. That means you can get good quality copying and printing for much longer.
NET take out the cartridges, gently shake em up then re-install. You will still get the low ink lights but I've made more than 100 copies after those lights appear. Seems to be a ploy to encourage waste of ink and therefore more sales for the cartridges.

Get the XL cartridges, not the regular PG-210s. According to Canon you get almost 2x more pages, for < 40% more money.What does that mean? I emptied out my regular 210 cartridge within 1 month of rather light usage on my new Canon MP240 printer. The XL cartridge now in it is < 1/2 full but going on 6 weeks.
Soon 3rd parties will be selling replacements, but I got some OEM Canon carts for $9@ from sellers here on Amazon. You don't have to pay full price.

This product would work be HP has created an error message for my printer to always show that I have zero or low yellow ink. I even used genuine HP ink at one point with the same results. Many users have the same experience especially with the yellow cartridge. Best EMPTY Refillable cartridges T0781~6 inks for Epson Artisan 50 Deals
The printer would not recognize the cartridges even tho they were supposed to be for my Epson Workforce Printer. So they are trashed. waste of money. Refillable cartridges I bought from Ink Supply dot com two years ago worked just fine until they wore out.

BE AWARE ... when buying multi-pack. I got 2 pack and the 1st cartridge worked fine. However when it was time to install the second one it left a vertical line down the center of every document i printed. Of course by that time it was beyond the return date and could not return OR contact the vendor. I might recommend either opening and testing all the cartridges in the multi-pack when they arrive and repackage or JUST BUY 1 AT A TIME. Multi-packs don't always save you money?

This arrived intact, well packaged, on time. The problem I have is that it's a toner cartridge for a laser printer, and though its price is very good compared to the store/locally, it has to be a good product to be a good value.My printer was on its last legs, but it's a good printer, just getting old, but it was also low on toner. We shook the toner cartridge a few times to get us through the next few days until toner arrived. I had gone to Amazon and found a refurbished one (HP no longer makes the printer) so that I could order a toner cartridge that could be used in the old printer until the new one arrived, And then be switched to the new printer.
This purchase here is the toner cartridge. It arrived July 26 and I opened it immediately and put it in the printer. Guess what? the print quality (it's still Printing just not scanning/copying now) is Worse than the Empty toner cartridge!
So I will wait until my printer arrives, because I have no other printer to Test the cartridge in, to see if it is the Printer but I highly Doubt it. This is because when we would Shake the cartridge, or put in another one that was also almost empty, it would beging to print better again. Now it just prints steadily very poorly.
To add Insult to Injury, the included packing slip says, "Returns are easy!" but the Label/Barcode to Make returns easy, has been Peeled OFF BEFORE I GOT the box. This looks like someone Knew it would be an inferior product and thought I would not bother to return it if it was harder to do. They don't know I will pursue this to the top of Amazon.com.
I will update with another review if it turns out OK with the new printer on its way. But I will probably have to Return this I know sometimes refilled cartridges don't do as many pages as the others, but this is ridiculous that Out of the Box, it is not working....

Automatic Refill System for HP Ink Cartridges-Black Review
I was really skeptical when I first bought the refill system for my HP 56 cartridge, until I tried it out. I followed all the instructions carefully and presto! My cartridge was filled and was working perfectly.
I used to buy new cartridges, then I switched to remanufactured cartridges at those office supply stores, then I would use the remanufactured ones and send it down to my local pharmacy store that offered refill services for $10. Finally, I got so fed-up with buying cartridges and the pharmacy place kept telling me the cartridge failed to work, I got the easy to use refill system.
One big tip: Refill often, don't refill once it hits empty. If you start seeing your printouts looking faded (the signs of an empty cartridge), stop printing and refill immediately. Once the cartridge runs dry, you risk severe damage to the cartridge and may cause failure to work properly even if you refill it. Preventative maintenance is the key, do it about every 150 pages.
The reviews which say how easy this is to use are pretty on target. i just want to describe how to use it for those debating to buy this, I didn't see this info when i was thinking of purchasing.
the top half contains the black ink84ml of black ink. a long needle is attached to the top. You place a plastic guide on top of your cartridge. and then you hook your cartridge on the gray holder.
You flip the ink container upside down and place the gray piece (with your cartridge attached) inside. the needle will go thru the exposed hole and pierce the foam inside. Then you flip the container and wait for the ink to fill your cartridge. The directions say to watch for when the air bubbles stop. and the ink tank is marked so you can watch for level change.
If your cartridge's foam is dried out (taking the cartridge out of the printer too long, or waiting too long to refill) the ink won't penetrate. But next time you'll know better to make sure you refill as soon as you notice the ink getting low on your cartridge. this will help extend the life of your cartridge. usually you can get 4-5 cycles on your cartridges. My cartridge was too dried out (dead) but this refill system will work great on my next cartridge.

And that was that . . . except my ink expenditures were topping several hundred dollars each month. Forget the cost of the printer, the supplies were eating my lunch. So I decided to give this refill system a last try.
A good decision!

Foremost, I like the idea a lot and having been using it frequently about a year (been refilling my own cartridges for 8 years). However, the results are inconsistent sometimes it fills completely and other times it does not (even after repeatedly pressing the pump). My first choice is to try this drip system and let it sit for 2 hours. But I now always check the handy calibrations on the tank. Company has serious quality control issues. I had to return two printheads before I got one that worked properly. The ink in first printhead had all leaked out into the package. I washed it off and tried to install it in the printer but it gave me a printhead error that would not clear. The second printhead worked but printed poorly. The third printhead worked perfectly. I believe it is probably worth the risk, considering the big cost difference ($45 for their refurb vs $79 for new one) and that they will replace defective units.Saturday, October 25, 2014
Canon 120 2617B001AA Black Laser Toner Cartridge Compatible Reviews
These cheap toners are hit and miss. I've probably ordered 30+ of them. Sometimes they are terrible, but the return policy covers me. This particular one worked perfectly for about the first 1000 impressions and then started to fail. Compared to the price of the factory toner, 1000 perfect prints really is pretty good.
Update: I got a second cartridge from Blake Printing Supply. It is about twice the price of the others ($30 v. $15), but it is significantly better. In fact I think I have to say that it is really quite good. I'm raising the star rating to 4 stars (I'll raise it to 5 if the cartridge keeps printing until the toner is spent). Again, compared to the price of the factory toner, this is amazing. The extra $15 is well worth it to me, and I'll continue to order from Blake Printing Supply.
2nd update: Okay, I'm on my fourth cartridge from Blake Printing Supply. I'm impressed and raised the stars to 5. Each cartridge has printed flawlessly all the way through to the toner being used up. I don't think I've ever had that happen even once with the other 3rd party cartridges. Since I first posted, they raised the price to $39.99, up $10...apparently they know they have a good product too.

We have purchased 11 of the cartridges since October 2012 and have found the print quality to be exceptional. My only concern is that the yield (3k or 5k copies) is not stated. I bought this ink a few months back but just put it in around Oct '11 (so maybe 2 months). I am a very casual printer I print recipes and coupons but not much else. I also bought the Lexmark Black Return Program Print Cartridge and within a very short period, the ink needed to be replaced. I was VERY disappointed. Because ink is so expensive, I was looking for alternatives. Instead, I think I'll just buy it from a regular store where I know the ink is fresh and the box is brand new from Lexmark. The color return program ink doesn't last AT ALL. It is too expensive to have to buy every other month, particularly when you purposely buy the XL. What a disappointment.
