The kit have the needles for filling each color. The bottle has 2 oz fl. I guess each bottle might fill 9 to 10 times each cartridge.

I have used solid ink printers for about 10 years. The ink is pretty expensive for what looks like chunks of wax. Finding ink that works as well as the manufacturers brand but costs 30% less is a great find for a small business where every dollar counts.

Brother New Compatible LC 75XL 5 Pack (2xBK,1xC,1xY,1xM) Ink Review

UPDATE: I see on the box it clearly says, "Once installed, do not remove until ready to replace with a new cartridge."

They worked in my MFC-J6910DW. The ink seems fine, and at a good price. However, the black cartridge is not treated like an extra capacity cartridge. Therefore the printer will complain that the black ink cartridge is low on ink before it really is low . I removed it to check the level because the plastic is clear on one side and you can see the ink inside. It clearly had approx. 40% of the ink remaining. However, by removing it with that much ink remaining it dripped onto the floor. I reinserted it into the printer. The printer asked if I changed the cartridge. I answered "no". Therefore the printer continued to complain that the black ink cartridge was "too low" to maintain print quality. I removed the black cartridge again, being more careful to avoid dripping (by tilting it upward). I reinserted it into the printer. The printer asked if I changed the cartridge. I answered "yes" but the printer did not like that answer. It told me to remove the cartridge and reinsert it "slowly". So I did. The printer still gave an error. My guess is that it can tell when you insert a fresh cartridge because of the force needed for the needle to pierce the cartridge (this only happens on the first insertion). Anyway, the lesson is you will have to ignore the "low ink" warning for these black ink cartridges until you actually see poor print quality. That means for each printing an extra pop-up warning to clear both on your computer and on the printer display. Perhaps there is a way to disable these warnings on the printer or PC.

These came at an unbelievable price and I couldn't be happier with the performance so far. No issues with them and with monitoring ink and as anyone who uses these things knows often times these generic cartridges causes the ink monitor to go all screwy. Not in this case.

All the parts were right, I was just so delighted to get for just a few bucks and fedex shipping for a complete 600 inkset. I bought an Brother MFC-J430W. The black ink finally ran out and I went to use this ink. A couple days later this catridge was no longer detected in the system. I followed instuctions to remove, reinsert, etc. No luck. Now I've replaced the yell and we'll see how that goes. Intially they seem to be fine. I will order from a different company to see if it is these cartridges that are the issue.

Update: Order new ink from Sophia Global Compatible. Seems to work great!

I used this cartridge to replace the black and white starter cartridge that came in my new Brother MFC-J430W printer. Upon replacement, this catridge initially printed with missing lines--text was readable but not something that would be suitable for school or office purposes. However, after about 50 pages it got over this problem and printed with nearly the same quality as the original cartridge. Overall, this was a good bargain and I would purchase it again--especially if the only criteria for acceptable quality is readability.

This cartridge worked well and provided a good number of prints in my Brother MFC-J825CW. Color prints did not seem to be adversely affected with this generic cartridge. Like all claims, this one did not meet the stated yield but did over 300 plus so I am pleased.

My ink cartridge arrived quickly and was compatible with the printer. I'm impressed at the low cost, compared to buying brand name cartridges at the store. Don't know if I'll get the promised 600 pages out of this cartridge yet, but at less than $3 total with shipping, I can't lose.

Only issue was the plastic wrap cover to the ink spout on the back it was rather difficult to pull off, and when I had to resort to puncturing it with a pair of scissors, things got a bit messy :) So be careful!

I bought this ink a few months back but just put it in around Oct '11 (so maybe 2 months). I am a very casual printer I print recipes and coupons but not much else. I also bought the Lexmark Black Return Program Print Cartridge and within a very short period, the ink needed to be replaced. I was VERY disappointed. Because ink is so expensive, I was looking for alternatives. Instead, I think I'll just buy it from a regular store where I know the ink is fresh and the box is brand new from Lexmark. The color return program ink doesn't last AT ALL. It is too expensive to have to buy every other month, particularly when you purposely buy the XL. What a disappointment.

The fountain pen has gone by the way of the typewriter. Personally, I have several collectable Mont Blanc fountain pens that I don't write with. I also have the basic Mont Blanc fountain pen which I use daily. My problem was that I couldn't find refills locally and I go through them pretty quickly.

Carts work well in my MX 420. As expected, Cannon's sensors do not see the cart's ink levels, but that's no issue for me. Just run them til they show some fading in the print.

The ink arrived in excellent condition. The only problem I have with using a generic is that the printer does not recognize it and continues to report at every sheet printed that the ink is "low". There is really nothing to do but accept that, but I wish the companies would recognize that buyers have the right to use whatever ink they choose in the machines. That would be like having them say the buyer could only use a certain brand of paper to print on.... duh! It would not be acceptable!
