Easy install,, well packaged, but copies are far too light.

I'll certainly look elsewhere for next cartridge!

Is this common for OEM replacements?

I always wait awhile before posting a review to see if the item really performs well over time and after several months we have had no problems with the toner cartridge so far.

The cartridge works fine except it prints somewhat lighter than the cartridge we had before. I would recommend it to others.

I ordered this in Aug and it did not last thru Oct. I have a home business with small-med printer needs. However, I have never had a cartridge run out this fast. They usually last about 7-9 months. There was also a burning smell when it was first used. It did go away but I could not recommend this.

I only received 1 of the laser refills for my canon black & white printer. So far, the one I received works perfectly. I always order 2 because the two I ordered a few months ago from a different company (Not Blake) broke when I attempted to remove them from my printer in the exact same spot. Both new, full and no good! I will submit another review after I receive my full order.

My husband filled the cartridge following the instructions but the printer still registers the cartridge as empty. The idea was a good one though. Perhaps it's more of a problem with the printer than the refill kit.

This product works well. It was a little tricky at first to fill the cartridge, the printer didn't recognize that it was full. The first few color printing were not vivid but after those printed it worked great.

I have been very pleased with the results of this ink. I have two art printers in my studio, one is a Canon II and the other an Epson Stylus 3880. The Epson print quality with these inks far exceeds what my Canon prints. The Canon is on a continuous ink system that the prints look faded compared to the prints coming from my Epson with these inks. I've been very pleased with the results these inks produce.

Automatic Refill System for HP Ink Cartridges-Black Review

Automatic Refill System for HP Ink Cartridges-Black
Customer Ratings: 4.5 stars

I was really skeptical when I first bought the refill system for my HP 56 cartridge, until I tried it out. I followed all the instructions carefully and presto! My cartridge was filled and was working perfectly.

I used to buy new cartridges, then I switched to remanufactured cartridges at those office supply stores, then I would use the remanufactured ones and send it down to my local pharmacy store that offered refill services for $10. Finally, I got so fed-up with buying cartridges and the pharmacy place kept telling me the cartridge failed to work, I got the easy to use refill system.

One big tip: Refill often, don't refill once it hits empty. If you start seeing your printouts looking faded (the signs of an empty cartridge), stop printing and refill immediately. Once the cartridge runs dry, you risk severe damage to the cartridge and may cause failure to work properly even if you refill it. Preventative maintenance is the key, do it about every 150 pages.

Foremost, I like the idea a lot and having been using it frequently about a year (been refilling my own cartridges for 8 years). However, the results are inconsistent sometimes it fills completely and other times it does not (even after repeatedly pressing the pump). My first choice is to try this drip system and let it sit for 2 hours. But I now always check the handy calibrations on the tank. When it does NOT fill, I revert to the manual syringe (yes, messy) filling. The Dataproducts system is quick, but not consistent.

I actually used this on HP 92 cartridges which it doesn't say it can do. It seems to have worked great. You get more refills with the 92 than it says. I think it's a smaller cartridge.

Honest reviews on Automatic Refill System for HP Ink Cartridges-Black

It's not listed on the description, but this also works for hp 74(xl) cartridges.

The reviews which say how easy this is to use are pretty on target. i just want to describe how to use it for those debating to buy this, I didn't see this info when i was thinking of purchasing.

the top half contains the black ink84ml of black ink. a long needle is attached to the top. You place a plastic guide on top of your cartridge. and then you hook your cartridge on the gray holder.

You flip the ink container upside down and place the gray piece (with your cartridge attached) inside. the needle will go thru the exposed hole and pierce the foam inside. Then you flip the container and wait for the ink to fill your cartridge. The directions say to watch for when the air bubbles stop. and the ink tank is marked so you can watch for level change.

If your cartridge's foam is dried out (taking the cartridge out of the printer too long, or waiting too long to refill) the ink won't penetrate. But next time you'll know better to make sure you refill as soon as you notice the ink getting low on your cartridge. this will help extend the life of your cartridge. usually you can get 4-5 cycles on your cartridges. My cartridge was too dried out (dead) but this refill system will work great on my next cartridge.

the 3rd party sellerShoplet was great, Amazon-level reliability. they send emails when they're shipping. I received mine the next day!

After years of trying a variety of refill systems, after years of ending up with more ink on me than in the cartridges, after years of difficult and unsatisfying experiences, I finally just gave up. I threw away all my bottles of ink and vowed never to try that again.

And that was that . . . except my ink expenditures were topping several hundred dollars each month. Forget the cost of the printer, the supplies were eating my lunch. So I decided to give this refill system a last try.

A good decision!

Refilling my black cartridge took all of ten minutes, and I'd never done it before. I got a tiny smudge of ink on my fingers, but the rest was spotless. No ink on my shirt or my hands or my sink or my cartridge. No puddles on my desk.

But the real issue is how the refilled cartridge works in the printer. I'm delighted to say that it works just fine. And, depending on how many times each cartridge will accept a refill and continue to work, I anticipate saving 66% on ink at a minimum.

Happy, happy, happy. Five stars.

Reviews of XPRO series DYE Ink CISS for Epson Workforce WF-3520 WF-3540

XPRO series DYE Ink CISS for Epson Workforce WF-3520 WF-3540 printer Continuous Ink system
Customer Ratings: 4.5 stars

I received my CISS unit a couple of weeks ago and was really excited to try to get it installed on my Epson WorkForce-3520. Having read the other reviews I was hoping for an easy setup and had even taken the advise of other reviewers and watched the installation video in advance on XPRO's youtube channel.

Despite my efforts this planning didn't lead to the easiest setup. First, there are NO instructions in the box. If you go to the website they will direct you to videos on installing your system and on priming your system (getting air bubbles out of the air ink lines), but having only found the installation video on youtube I was blissfully unaware that I would need to prime the system. So after breaking off my printer ink cartridge door, installing the cartridge block, and taping in the lines to allow the printer head to move (for this I had to use my own tape as the foam tape provided was too thick) I got nothing. My printer produced only blank sheets.

I knew something hadn't gone right so I checked through the comment threads on youtube CISS videos and found this "priming" which wasn't mentioned in the original video. So I went about finding the priming video for this CISS system. In the end I did find it on the XPRO website, but I wouldn't say it was the most obvious thing ever.

From there I went about priming the cartridges, but I couldn't seem to get the ink to flow. Eventually I realized that in the priming video they had removed the ink tanks from the holder. It wasn't clear why they had done this and I had assumed that it was just to show more clearly what they were doing, but when I removed my tanks I found that the ink lines were doubled under and kinked (blocking the flow). On a side note this was the first thing I was asked to check for when I contacted customer support (if its that common of a problem then mention it in your instructional video). I fixed this, re-primed the cartridges AND... printed a beautiful test sheet ENTIRELY in blue ink. This is dragging on, but in short it had taken several hours of my time to try to prime the cartridges and the ink heads had dried out. After spending a few more hours troubleshooting thinking that maybe I needed to position the tank better (above or below the level of the printer cartridges) I washed the print heads with rubbing alcohol and distilled water and now I get full color prints.

My hands were stained, my printer was more or less covered with drops of ink, I was more than a little frustrated, but it worked.

Now that its installed it seems to work well. I feel like I'm actually saving ink (despite having to dump several syringes full of ink during the priming process and mishaps). The prints are near the quality of the original epson cartridges (maybe the pigment ink system would be even closer since Epson uses pigment ink in their cartridges).

The build quality isn't great. Most of the parts feel like cheap Chinese manufacturing. The chip that connects the cartridges to the printer software is built so that it blocks the vent plugs you need access to during priming. The syringes provided for priming are incredibly cheap, thin plastic both broke by the time I was finished. The air vents they provide for the ink tanks didn't fit initially with the ink tank cover closed so I had to trim them (in retrospect this may have been because of the folded under tubing that raised the ink tanks 1/16").

Time will tell if I come back and upgrade the ranking on this system. If it runs perfectly from here out then my frustration was worth while and its probably a 4 star product, but if I end up needing to tweak and adjust it every time I want to print I will probably stick with my initial feelings and leave it here at 3 stars.

If you really do your homework and saving money is important to you this CISS system could work well for you, but don't expect it to be hassle free. You are "hacking" your printer to work with bulk ink systems and the company that sold you the printer (and wants you to buy the ink) would really rather you not do this.

So think before you jump.

Realize that you are potentially risking both your printer and your money here (I don't think epson will cover bulk ink spills or a broken off printer cartridge door warranty or not).

And then decide how you value your time and whether the potential hassle (and mess) is worth the savings.

Received my CIS system superfast. Setting this up took some time, removing the lid from the ink cartridge holder, without damaging it, was the most difficult part. Inserting the ink cartridge and routing the plastic supply line was pretty simple, but with the Epson WF 3540 printer I have, the supply line should have been a little longer. I found I couldn`t situate the reservoir where I needed to. I removed the air plugs from ink container and turned on the printer and it worked first time. I had moved the reservoir around, a few times, before I found ink was slopping out from the breather holes and making a mess. I then realized the air filter valves weren`t included. They should be. The least little movement of the reservoir makes the ink slop out of the tops. It is working great, aside from a few minor issues, and it will save me from spending a fortune on manufacturer ink.

The price of this kit is about the same as a new set of OEM cartridges so I figured it was worth a try. Install instructions and video on the inkxpro web site use a different model than my WF-3520. It seems with my model there is less room between the ink tubes and the printing head. I tried fastening the ink tubes with double sided tape (per instructions) but the tape did not hold. I then used some Goop adhesive instead and that has been holding and its been a few weeks now. My ink tubes have some air bubbles still but that has not affected any printouts yet. After replacing the OEM cartridges with the inkxpro ones I did get an error about ink cartridges not recognized but I was able to get past this using the reset button on the inkxpro head (per instructions). My kit came with a couple extra batteries and some syringes which were not needed. I wouldn't be surprised if the ink tubes come loose or the air bubbles cause some bad printouts but so far so good.

The quality of the print isn't as good as Epson print cartridges but its good enough and i feel good knowing that these tanks are the equivalent of many of them. They are easy to refill too. You may need to bend the heads to align them flush to the printer. I saw this done in thailand a few months ago and now i've done it myself too! No more paying huge prices for cartridges, its just not natural! :)

Honest reviews on LD © Remanufactured Bulk Set of 11 Replacement Ink Cartridges

I have an HP Photosmart Plus B210 Printer and, when using these cartridges, I get a message every time I try to print saying that these are not Original HP Cartridges. I have to go to the printer an press "OK" every time before I can print. As a result, I often have to print diagnostics to wake the printer up before I can print 90% of the time.

What makes this suck even more is that I now have 11 of these non-standard cartridges to go through.

Suggest that you buy original HP.

(Clearly this is an underhanded attempt by HP to force you to buy their cartridges. It sucks, but that is the way of it)

Color changed and then no magenta at all. Would not recommend. You get what you pay for sometimes. Why is it that the printers are made in China, but we cannot use recycled ink from China? Even if it says HP. After hiring someone to clean and check my printer, it was determined that the printer, of less than 1 year could not be fixed. Was necessary to purchase a new printer.

The seller was great. I got the cartridges very quickly. I purchased some for a printer a while back and they worked great. These were for my fax machine, and the print quality isn't very good. There are lines through the print, so I'm guessing the print head might be damaged. It works OK for a fax, but I definitely would have returned them if they had been for my printer and print quality was an issue.

Compatible Refillable Cartridge for Epson Artisan 800 810 710 700 Review

Compatible Refillable Cartridge for Epson Artisan 800 810 710 700
Customer Ratings: 4.5 stars
Buy Now
I used these cartridges successfully on an Epson Artisan 800 all in one printer. According to the provided directions, you have to replace the original Epson cartridges as a set with filled cartridges. I found that I was able to add one cartridge at a time with no issues. Color photos remained accurately color balanced even with a mixture of Epson and refilled cartridges. That allows you to finish your existing cartridges as they become empty and replace them one at a time with the refillable cartridges. The ink level readings from the printer may, or may not, be accurate when you use these cartridges so a word of caution, check your ink levels by visual inspection frequently. Since these cartridges are made of polypropylene, you can see the ink level in the cartridges easily. Ink refilling can be messy, and the dye inks can stain clothing, skin, and surfaces. Protect surfaces with aluminum foil and paper towels when filling. I would suggest wearing rubber gloves if you want to avoid staining your hands. Rinse the syringes and needles immediately after use with clean or preferably filtered water and allow to air dry. I did not try the ink from this seller, but I will when I run out of inks I had purchased previously. Another important point is that all ink jet printers rely on ink that is free of particulate matter. So it is best to keep the syringes and needles as clean as possible and avoid contaminating the ink bottles. If you do accidentally stain a surface, you can use a little bleach to remove the ink stain, but rinse immediately afterwards with clean water to avoid bleach damage to the surface.

Note: I was totally unsuccessful when attempting to reuse/refill Epson cartridges. The chip resetter I bought did not work, so the printer rejected the attempt to install with the small amount of ink I was able to put in the cartridge. The Epson cartridge itself is designed to frustrate attempts to refill it (They used multiple convoluted chambers connected by small orifices which causes an air lock when you attempt to refill, no matter where you may try to drill the refill hole.)

Bottom line: I would highly recommend purchasing these refillable cartridges.

Update: 10-21-12

The cartridges continue to work well after over one year of use. I found that when the printer "thinks" that a particular cartridge is empty it tells you so and stops printing. Just open and close the printer cover and it will read that ink cartridge as refilled. (I recommend filling that cartridge with ink at this point so that the actual level is also "full". In that way, you will eventually have all 6 cartridges be accurately reported in the display). One other recommendation I have is to make sure the printhead prints "color" photos or multicolor web pages at least weekly. You can also use the printhead test page to make sure all colors are not "dried out" in the head or ink lines. Never EVER let the ink in any of the cartridges go dry!! You may not be able to recover from this as the dried ink in the head and lines will cause a blockage that would be difficult or impossible to clear.

This is a re-manufactured cartridge, so do not expect the same quality as the original HP. As it has been used before, expect some faint printing trails. This is good if you just need no fuss printouts for your e-tickets, forms etc. Definitely not good for professional prints, but hey, it help to conserve the environment as the company recycles used cartridges, and you can play a part in it too, so why not?

I give it 3 stars, short of 4 because of the ink quality: Ink tends to coagulate and form clumps at the printhead over time. This doesn't happen with the original HP ink. But it can be solved by doing a printhead cleaning routine. If its not cleared up, remove the cartridge and wipe clean the printhead with some alcohol.

You get what you pay for...

Nothing much to say about a print head.

The original failed after 3 years and the printer needed a replacement.

Ordered one, installed it and we're back to normal printing.

Kind of expensive though considering what printers are selling for these days.

I see that hp has a trade-in program.

Checked to see what the Officejet D135 would get me on a trade, $5.
