This is my first attempt at using off brand refilled cartridges. The packaging

is not up to HP OEM standards, but appears adequate for the application.

I purchased these for my wife's computer after buying a couple of non brand

laser (black powder)cartridges for my laser all in one. They worked just fine, and have

produced copy numbers similar to Canon cartridges.

My wife has been using one of these deskjet (HP 94) cartridges for a few weeks

with great results. I compared the printing quality with documents she printed

with factory brand (HP) product and could see no difference at all.

The price four replacement cartridges for less than half the price of one

new HP brand is fantastic. I will be far ahead, even if one of the four turns out

to be a dud.

I just tried this refill kit for my Lexmark printer and it is working fine. I am glad Amazon offers this product at a reduced price also. You need to be careful filling for the first time since it is easy to spill or overfill the cartridge, but it is much better than paying $25-$30 for a new cartridge everytime.

This is a good quality ink. My printer does not reject it and it is much cheaper than buying new cartridges all the time. One piece of advice when filling the Lexmark x 2600 14A cartridge. Do not put ink in with the cartridge laying face down like the instructions say. You will lose a lot of ink through leakage. I have found out by trial and error that if you stand the cartdridge on end and put the ink in it, it will not leak. When you lay it face down it goes right on through. Stand it up and it goes to the bottom. Wait a few hours for the ink to absorb and put it back in the printer.

This continuous ink system is great in terms of functionality and cost. The system is inexpensive compared to other CISs, about $20 to $50 cheaper than other solutions. The ink refills are very well priced as well, $18 for a full kit.

However, don't buy this thinking it's just a simple setup and you're good to go. This isn't a problem just with BCH, either; all CISs require the about the same amount of improvisation, critical thinking, and a willingness to break things. None of these kits come with printer specific instructions because all printers are different and it would take a massive manual to cover them. What they do come with is a single page fold out that covers the few basics: how to get the ink pressurized, how not to spill ink all over you, jamming the printer cover sensor.

This is a list of things you need to consider being comfortable with before you purchase a CIS:

Finding instructions for your specific printer on your own (Youtube works well).

The possibility you won't find instructions for your printer at all and being able to figure it out yourself (for less common printers).

The cover/lid of your printer never closing again. (It needs to stay open so it doesn't bite down on the ink tubes. You can drill holes in some printer to route them).

Cutting away plastic pieces of the inner frame so that the ink tubes don't catch on them.

Cleaning the tubes if the ink has congealed during storage/shipping. This is messy!

If you're a do-it-yourself type person, none of these are a problem. It took me about 20 minutes to get mine setup even though I needed to cut away a section of plastic and look up where the lid sensor was. I will tell you that if you have an MG5220, or presumably any printer/scanner combo, having the lid stay open makes using the scanner awkward.

UPDATE!: After three days and ~20 light prints, gaps became apparent in the solid black areas of print and the ENTIRE cyan tank has emptied itself somewhere into the printer. Everything the printer prints is now heavily tinted blue, but I cannot find where the ink leaked to. 100ml of blue ink should have created a puddle somewhere, but the sponge under the carriage is clean, the paper in the cassette at the bottom of the printer is clean, and all areas inside the printer that I can see are clean. I have contacted BCH about this and will update with any information.

So i order this to save some money on inks, and man did am i going to save.

I order follow the instruction and immediately started printing photos and man am i happy.

I belive this will give as many copies around 50-75 8.5x11 inches photos in full quality as far as i cant tell.

a normal ink set will give me about 10. To refill the CIS will run me about 20dls compare to 55dls this is a steal

Color quality is just as the original.. A must have.

So I finally got around to installing this system from BCH Tech and it works beautifully. I had some initial problems with one of the cartridges being blocked by some congealed ink, but I was able to isolate and clean the tube with some rubbing alcohol with no issues. I also had the yellow cartridge chip error out on me, so I just replaced it with the old OEM Canon chip for the moment. The great thing here is that I actually sent an email to BCH Tech and got a response! They not only gave me advice with trying to get the ink to flow, but also are sending me a new yellow cartridge with a replacement chip. Email response was very quick! So far, I've printed out literally 100's of pages of photo paper as I'm working on a large quantity of invitations and I have barely seen the ink level drop at all. The quality of the prints are outstanding. The only thing I can't say for sure is the longevity of the ink as I have not had any prints long enough in regular use to know about fading or whatnot. I'll update this review later if I see any issues as the package doesn't necessarily say the ink is 'archival quality' ink. I can say for sure that the chips do 'auto-reset' as noted in the description and that works great.

This product refills the cartridge neatly and it works well afterwards. You can fill a cartridge about three times with the kit, by which time the cartridge is getting a little worn out and you may want to replace it. There seem to be no ill effects on the printer and the color is good enough.

If you call Dataproducts they will send you instructions on how to clean the cartridge nozzles but are not interested in the poor color quality. Save your money and buy a new HP ink cartridge as I had to do after using this product. Don't buy this product unless you enjoy disappointments and poor customer support from Dataproducts.

I was very skeptical about purchasing these because they do not "come from" Brother. They have been installed in my MFC-440CN for the last few weeks and I am still amazed! I use a lot of ink in a Canon i9900 printer.

It was costing me a fortune, until I found a continuous ink feed system that really works.

It uses this type of ink. It takes eight different colors to print.

Now I can print economically using this $49.99 ink supply for about six months of (for me) heavy printing!

It used to cost me ten times that much for the same quality of print.

Compatible Refillable Cartridge for Epson Artisan 800 810 710 700 Review

I used these cartridges successfully on an Epson Artisan 800 all in one printer. According to the provided directions, you have to replace the original Epson cartridges as a set with filled cartridges. I found that I was able to add one cartridge at a time with no issues. Color photos remained accurately color balanced even with a mixture of Epson and refilled cartridges. That allows you to finish your existing cartridges as they become empty and replace them one at a time with the refillable cartridges. The ink level readings from the printer may, or may not, be accurate when you use these cartridges so a word of caution, check your ink levels by visual inspection frequently. Since these cartridges are made of polypropylene, you can see the ink level in the cartridges easily. Ink refilling can be messy, and the dye inks can stain clothing, skin, and surfaces. Protect surfaces with aluminum foil and paper towels when filling. I would suggest wearing rubber gloves if you want to avoid staining your hands. Rinse the syringes and needles immediately after use with clean or preferably filtered water and allow to air dry. I did not try the ink from this seller, but I will when I run out of inks I had purchased previously. Another important point is that all ink jet printers rely on ink that is free of particulate matter. So it is best to keep the syringes and needles as clean as possible and avoid contaminating the ink bottles. If you do accidentally stain a surface, you can use a little bleach to remove the ink stain, but rinse immediately afterwards with clean water to avoid bleach damage to the surface.

Note: I was totally unsuccessful when attempting to reuse/refill Epson cartridges. The chip resetter I bought did not work, so the printer rejected the attempt to install with the small amount of ink I was able to put in the cartridge. The Epson cartridge itself is designed to frustrate attempts to refill it (They used multiple convoluted chambers connected by small orifices which causes an air lock when you attempt to refill, no matter where you may try to drill the refill hole.)

Bottom line: I would highly recommend purchasing these refillable cartridges.

Update: 10-21-12

The cartridges continue to work well after over one year of use. I found that when the printer "thinks" that a particular cartridge is empty it tells you so and stops printing. Just open and close the printer cover and it will read that ink cartridge as refilled. (I recommend filling that cartridge with ink at this point so that the actual level is also "full". In that way, you will eventually have all 6 cartridges be accurately reported in the display). One other recommendation I have is to make sure the printhead prints "color" photos or multicolor web pages at least weekly. You can also use the printhead test page to make sure all colors are not "dried out" in the head or ink lines. Never EVER let the ink in any of the cartridges go dry!! You may not be able to recover from this as the dried ink in the head and lines will cause a blockage that would be difficult or impossible to clear.

I bought a continuous ink system off of amazon and loved it, but after a year I began to receive an error that one of the cartridges could not be read. I finally bought these refillable ones, and just used the hardware from my cis to turn these into a cis. it worked great. so far my printer has been printing great pictures. and now instead of having one board for all the colors, each have their own individual. so if I get one color not being able to read again I can just replace the one, instead of all of them

Didn't have much luck with cartridges. Probably my fault. I let the old cartridges empty before installing these cartridges and printer would not accept them as Epson originals. Ended up trashing Epson printer and replaced with a Brother printer. Purchased new cartridges for Brother and work great with it.

Got ink, well I do now! Like many of us, I get sticker shock every time I need to replace an ink cartridge. One way to end the shock is to buy non-OEM cartridges, but which one? So, a couple of weeks ago, I decided to give 'Ink Up 4 Less' a try and I'm glad I did. The black ink cartridge installed in my Canon printer with ease. No error messages and no more low ink warnings that you get with some non-OEM ink. The ink shoots from the little nozzles and lands on the paper.
