The only problem I has was the recomendation to do a "deep clean". My HP K5400 really didn't respond well to the command prompts for this.

After re-booting the computer the new cartridges have been working really well. They came pre-filled so I haven't actually used the extra ink bottles that came with them. I don't see any difference in print quality between this ink and the expensive factory replacements. I really like the fact that I will be keeping so many palstic parts out of the land-fill as well.

I bought this product as a way to save some money in the end was a waste of money. The yellow cartridge got damage before two months of use and I don't use to much my printer and I only use my printer twice a week. The only answer I got from the seller service was to BUY A NEW CARTRIDGE.

I strongly suggest on buying the remanufacture cartridges for this kind of printers they are cheap and work great. I had been using them for years and they rock. Don't waste your money.

I was very nervous when I bought this, other reviewers had issues with leaks. I have had no issues at all. I was careful to keep my cartridges upright and have re-refilled one so far. Overall I am pleased. It's not difficult or messy and the printer still prints and copies very well.

UPDATE: about 6 months after purchasing and using this, my black ink stopped printing completely it appears the supply lines got clogged. It could be coincidence, it might not be I can't tell but I no longer have my MFP about 6 months after using this product. To this day, the other colors still work and I have only a very very large scanner.

I was skeptical of this at first but for the price difference I figured it was worth a try. After replacing all the ink cartridges I did one cycle of cleaning the print heads.

I have printed several pages and am really impressed... they look as good as Hp oem cartridges if not better.

My printer even showed them as being genuine hp cartridges (little do they know) :)

My HP K8600 didn't work with them.

Got a replacement cartridge when it looked like the only problem was the cyan cartridge. Didn't help the problem when the cyan cartridge was installed, the other 3 print cartridges were no longer recognized. As the K8600 is an oddball wide carriage printer, I think it's a compatibility issue.

Was offered a return by the manufacturer, but I'd have to pay shipping back to them.

Counting packing them up and sending them in a box from the Post Office, plus driving there, I'd be out at least ten bucks not including my time....

So, I kept the ink for the continuous ink system I finally put on the printer, as it wasn't worth returning.

Looks like a decent ink cartridge, but I'd recommend NOT trying it with the K8600.

In your printer profile, select preferences, then

select draft mode, this saves a lot of ink.

next click Black & White (instead of Color),

this saves you more money.

rename the printer by adding B&W to the name,

ie HP 890C B&W. Use this as your default printer.

add a second printer using the same model you have now.

You now have two logical printers but only one physical printer.

Rename it HP 890 Color for example.

When you need color for the kids reports or greeting cards,

send the print to the color printer, otherwise send to B&W printer.

You can do this with any printer, even at your office to

save on toner if it is a laser.

In the very rare event that it's faulty (unlikely), Amazon.com will give you a new one. That in itself is not bad but there claim that you will receive HP ink in original HP packaging is CRAP. This is really made by Linkcolor Technology Co., Ltd not by or on beahlf of HP. One of the most outstanding features of the Microboards MX2 Disc publishers is its conservation of consumables (The user only has to replace ink cartridges as they are used up, and it inspects discs burned and usually won't print on a bad disc).

This is probably the most influential feature for purchasing this work horse of a printer over any other on the market.

The flexibility of design and quality of the print job is also exceptional. This ink prints on a variety of printable discs.

The best quality hub printable disc is the Taiyo Yuden. Taiyo Yuden media is globally distributed as part of the JVC Advanced Media Brand. We have burned and printed on these discs with a very low failure rate compared to other disc brands.

Why 4 stars and not 5? These cartridges look remarkably like the HP 88 cartridges. So much so, that it is only after trying to use the HP 88 does the user realize they wasted money purchasing the HP 88 instead of the Microboards label.

If the two cartridges are otherwise the same, it would be nice if Microboards provided a software update to allow the HP 88 to be used. If quality control is an issue, it's been my experience that HP makes a good product. If it's the formula of the ink, Microboards needs to put a STRONG and HIGHLY VISIBLE warning to avoid the HP 88 cartridge. This will markedly contribute to the entire conservation idea.

It could last a little longer. Lexmark should inform you that you can't refill these cartridges. If you don't print a lot, remove the in, place the cap on it, place it in a ziplock sandwich bag and put it in the refrigerator or it will dry up in your printer.

Works as advertised, no problems so far. I don't do much printing but these cartridges don't last much at all. These were replacements for the originals that came with the printer. The originals didn't get anywhere near 100 or even 50 pages so I don't expect these to do any better. How they can say 170 pages is beyond me.

I was disappointed they didn't include a return back to send back the other cartridges for recycling.

The product not in a box. The word "programmed" was written in black marker was on the out side the package. I thought that this is how they were sent from Amazon. The other Magenta cartridge, I received later was in its Lexmark box. Both colors were low on my printer but the yellow went first. I put it in the printer but the message came up, no cartridge in carriage. I put the old one back it and the message did not come up. I did this a few times so I am sure the cartridge from Amazon is bad. I wil need to return it. I have never had any problems with anything I have ordered in the past.

ink cartridges. Try anything less at both your risk, and the risk

Sounded to good to be true. A $38.00 ink tank for $5.00 well I purchased it, installed it and work great for the first week! Then started to loose color in my printings, finally after 2 weeks cartridge was dried as a bone.

Never leave feedback to sellers in the first week looks like the partial refill and resealed box to make it look new was enough to fool me. Well... you live and you learn now no more "too good to be true" New ink offers for certain!

I have always bought ink from HP, but wanted to save a little money and tried this. I got exactly what I paid for; garbage. The very first page I printed was spotty and looked like it would when the ink is almost empty. The printer jams saying the ink cartridge is faulty and I have to shake it and put it back in for it to print again and even then it still prints maybe 90% of the page. I only saved $10 buying this stuff and completely regret it. Don't waste your money on this less than mediocre product and go to HP. They ship next day for free.

Fast service and they stand behind their products. I try to always have a spare set of cartridges because my printer is such a pig on ink. I uesd to by HP product, but find the reconditioned units fro this vendor do the job and for a lot less money. My grandfather, who worked for a large razor company, when asked how can they sell their razors so cheap would always remind us that the cmpany sold blades as their primary product. I suspect it is the same with printer manufacturers. Ink is their business. This vendor gives me an option.
