I run a small business and was going through ink cartridges every week and spending a small fortune! I took a chance on this continuous ink system based on 4 previous reviews of 4 and 5 stars. I had previously tried refillable cartridges and found them to be extremely messy and didn't work after 2 or 3 uses. This continuous ink system is AMAZING! A little tricky to set up but once you get it going it works awesome! I tried to install the tubes on the wrong side and my printer kept saying "paper jam" because it was detecting the ink tubes as a paper jam. The ink tubes need to be tucked away so they don't interfere with the printer functions. So, the videos have no voice description and are weird, but I understand the top vid, however the usual non tech person probably won't, and luckily the lower video on priming showed how to clear the tubes, which is what I had to do. This should be in the original directions as bubbles from shipping could be expected. Anyway I printed a dozen full color pages and all seems great so far.

The written directions in english have very poor grammar, and when you need them, they are confusing. The online directions are better in the how-to/trouble shooting area.

I did not see in the original written directions that you need to hit a reset button built into the chip near the battery when installed. They mention hitting the button for each color... Previous CISS just need you to pull the cartridges out and put them back down. I do think when they need to be reset the button will be easier than my old printer/system.

FYI Once installed and powered back on. Go back and hit cartridge replacement. An error may come up, do what it says to get you to the replacement phase. When the bin slides over and stops waiting for you to replace the cartridges, all you have to do is press the button for 3-5 seconds once. You will see the colors on the mini screen go to a shade of grey as if they are missing, when you release the button the colors will brighten back up and hit ok to go through charging.

The directions almost give it a 4 stars, but the website helped and once you spend 5 minutes figuring it out and how it works, it runs great. I will update later if any problems arise.

I have never bought name brand ink cartridges since I have owned a printer. So naturally when my last printer died on me (a Brother multifunction) I started looking for a new multifunction printer to replace it. One of the main requirements I was looking for was the ability to purchase low cost off brand ink. This kit from inkxpro did not disappoint.

The supplied instruction were just ok. I used the video on their website to help me prime the cartridges. As for installation, removal of the cover from the cartridge holder was the most difficult part. I ended up just cutting the left hinge of the cover so it was a little shorter. Then the cover just popped right off. It was not completely clear what the best way to route the ink supply tubes was, but after a little trial and error I was able to get them in a good spot with no interference to the printer head. As a previous reviewer mentioned, the supplied clips did not seem to fit my printer (Workforce 645) nor were they mentioned anywhere in the instructions, so I used tape.

I ran several color test prints using both the original Epson ink cartridges and the CISS and found no noticable difference. As of this review, I've printed about 60 color pages on it so far with no issues and I'm very happy with my purchase. If I ever run out of ink, I will buy this again.

It took me about a week to figure out how to get the CISS working. I took a star off because the instruction are inadequate. I suggest the following for installation.

1. Take out bubbles from the tubes by syringe: (Follow the first video)

2. Remove the cover/door.

3. Install the cartridge like this:

4. You have to put the air filters. (Very very important step)

Its very simple but information provided make it complicated.

This had to have the worst instructions of anything I have ever installed on any product ever. Broken english that made no sense and the written instructions were only slightly worse than the youtube instructions on their website. That said, I think the product is going to work out. I have a slight issue right now where the pink isn't lined up perfectly, but I think when I do a print head alignment I will be ok. I feel like I succeeded in using this product despite the instructions, not because of them. They never mention putting the battery in, priming etc. The product seems solid though.

The first black cartridge I used was rejected by my printer regardless of how many times I took it out and reinserted, turned off computer, etc. I put in a second black and so far so good but I am concerned as this is not a great price if I have to throw 50% away.

I tried remanufactured ink cartridges a few years ago without success. I gave them another try with this purchase based soley on economics. I never even got an opportunity to test its printing quality since the metallic strip came off with the protective tape. I returned the item and purchased an original equipment cartridge. Everything is working fine now...just another example of "you get what you pay for".

Like the other user, I also got a cartridge error message and I could not get rid of it. In my case the error came up immediately after installing it. The printer is completely inoperable. I don't have time to mess around with problems like this. I need to be able to install a cartridge and begin using it immediately. I was ripped off. The item is now beyond the "return window" so it would only be available for a partial refund and I would have to pay for shipping in both directions.

This system has been a real headache for us. It does not fit our Epson RX600 at all without some significant revisions to the printer itself. The instructions that came with the product and the website that they provide does not have instructions at all for our printer. We had to go on-line to a totally different company to find a work-around that was only tolerable at best. We have kept the CIS ink system but are really disappointed. The ink tends to smear as paper is fed through the printer and has some light spots here and there. It is very noisy, making you fearful that something will break or wear out. Consequently, as soon as the print job starts, we open the printer to watch it working and ensure that nothing is rubbing or wearing out. It would fit our R200 just fine, but we wanted it for our primary printer (RX600). Either quit advertising it as working on an RX 600 or publish some better instructions.

I have the Epson R300 photo printer that I use for pictures as well as printing on CD's and DVD's. It uses 6 different ink cartridges which run about $15 each and hold about 15cc's of ink. I initially was going to get a refill kit, but now I am glad that I got the CISS (Continuous Ink Supply System). Refilling can be messy plus you also have to deal with resetting the chips in the cartridges. Also, when the ink started to run low, the colors would shift before I got any warning so I was stuck with crappy prints or reprinting. The CISS has 100 cc's of ink to use so it should last a while. It runs like the cartridges are always full. The prints look the same as with the Epson inks. Installation was not difficult. I did have air in one of the lines and when I tried to clear it, I almost had a big mess, but I caught it just in time -important note: keep the reservoir tanks even with or below the level of the cartridges. I also think that if you have enough ink in the Cartridge piece that any air in the lines does not matter and will clear itself. The vendor has links to Youtube videos of all of their products since that is their installation instructions. Actually pretty simple and if you can put an ink cartridge in your printer, you can do this. I will probably get a set of the ink refills to have on hand provided it has a decent shelf life. Now I am looking for good buys on photo paper.

I've only had this for a few days, but so far I am very happy. The shipping and packaging was fast and excellent, ordered Wednesday night, arrived Saturday afternoon on Standard shipping and was well packaged. Took me all of about 30 minutes to install and purge the supply lines. My printer is about 5 years old, so it took quite a number of head cleanings to get this cleaned up (head cleaning time is included in the 30 minutes), but once this was done I printed some photos and am very pleased with the quality of the prints. On generic premium glossy photo paper the ink is almost dry by the time the sheet is out of the printer and the color quality and saturation is as good as the OEM cartridges as far as I can tell. I found no indication of bleeding or running and the detail is sharp and clear. The Piano Box tank unit is larger than I had expected, but two Velcro strips (not supplied) hold it nicely to the left side of the printer.

My only complaint, and the reason for the 4-star rating, is the quality of the instructions in the box. PrintPayLess REALLY needs to have someone who's primary language is English write these sheets. They also are VERY limited, and refer you to their website. This would be fine, if they actually had instructions for the RX500 on the site. This kit fits several different Epson printers that use the T048 style cartridges, but neither of the 2 installation videos on the site cover the RX500. The included tubing clips were of no use on the RX500 due to interference with the underside of the top cover. Fortunately, while I was researching these kits, I found a UK site for a similar product which had video instructions for the RX500, so I was able to adapt their instructions to install this kit. As it turned out, a 2 inch piece of clear packing tape to hold the tubes in place solved the interference problem and keeps the tubes out of the way of the print head carriage.

I have no qualms recommending this PrintPayLess CISS kit to anyone, but you will need to be creative in mounting the lines as the included clips don't fit properly on the RX500. For the cost of the kit and the savings on ink costs, this is a minor frustration.

I'd considered buying a Continuous Ink System for several years, but the ones I found seemed fussy and pricey (around $200), so I settled for buying refilled cartridges. However, the overall waste and price still bothered me, especially the way my printer uses all the colors even when printing in black and white (you can select "black ink only" as an option, but it does use a tiny bit of the colors and then when you change the black cartridge, it uses ink to "charge" the system). Also, if one color runs out, it will not print at all!

We'd considered buying a new printer that might use less ink, but our printer (Epson Stylus Photo RX500) works just fine, so I decided to revisit the CIS options and was very pleased to find this relatively sleek unit on Amazon. The price of this entire system plus shipping is about the same as buying *one* set of new cartridges, so I decided to give it a try. I bought my system from PrintPayLess and was so very impressed with their customer service in the form of prompt, friendly help while I was troubleshooting setup. If you buy from them, they will work with you until everything is working properly!!

A friend who had made the leap to CIS several years back warned me that they can require a bit of finagling to get working, but once they work you don't have to change cartridges again; you can refill into the outer wells. I am very, very happy with this and also happy that we can continue to use our perfectly good printer/copier for years to come without generating a lot of waste from the cartridges. Great product!

Of course, whatever brand of printer you buy, they sternly tell you to only buy the manufacturers brand of cartridges. Which means, it gets expensive. My Brother all-in-one accepted this, and works fine. The Dell I used to have, was another story. If I didn't buy Dell cartridges, a yellow caution icon annoyingly flashed, and it constantly asked to print a sample page (to use up ink). It was a relief to me that this Brother didn't do that. I don't print that many pics, but they came out clear. Most of the time, it's just documents or receipts, and I see no difference between the Brother cartridges, and these.

I followed the instructions on the paper that was included in the package and didn't have any issues. Printed a test page and everything is working fine (for now). I have only used the black cartridge so far. No problems with it. I thought it would last longer. I didn't get nearly 300 copies, which is what I thought I would get. Now on my second batch of ink cartridges for our Canon MX700 multifunction printer from this seller. Shipping was FAST for both orders. Quality of inks and cartridges is excellent. Have had no printer problems using these non-Canon inks, even when printing quality photos. an update on buying non-brand inks: don't. I thought all was fine using cheap refill ink for my Canon Pixma MX700. After a while the black ink nozzle has become completely plugged up to the point where even deep cleaning doesn't solve the problem. Just ordered a batch of Canon inks to replace these. I've learned my lesson.

Pros: Cheap. Order delivered promptly.

Cons:

1. When I opened each cartridge, ink had already oozed out behind the cap. So I had ink on my hands, on my desk. Luckily nothing was on my carpet. The same happened on all cartridges, black or color.

2. The print is very dark for B/W documents and very red for color photos. So the color profile is not the same as the Canon original.

3. After having the printer idled for 2 weeks, it would not print (no ink) even after many cyles of deep cleaning. The problem was that the pad at the bottom of the cartridge where the ink came out had dried up. I took the cartridge out and squeezed the plastic body to force the ink to wet the pad again. It worked but I do not know how long before it dries up again.

Will I buy this product again? Probably not. As a matter of fact, it is ridiculous that Canon price their ink cartridges as much as a new printer and the printer is programmed to consume ink even if I do not print. I will not buy any inkjet printers again (at least not Canon) and will switch to laser printer to avoid such a problem.

*** Update on 12/2/10 ***

After using these ink cartridges for some time, I would like to downgrade the rating from 2 star to 1 star, if I could. Reason? 1. The cartridges dried up again after idling for the reason described above. 2. Everytime I "squeezed" the cartridge to wet the pad, it only prints about 10 to 12 pages and I will have to squeeze again, 3. The ink goes very fast. My last cartridge did not last 100 pages. Will I buy it again? Definitely not.

This order was for two color ink cartridges. When the package arrived, it contained one black and one color, so I e-mailed the company and received an apology and a promise to correct the problem by e-mail. I responded by thanking them for their speedy response. I then decided to use the single color cartridge I received to replace a now-empty color cartridge in my printer, and discovered that it would not work. It was in fact not compatible with the D-V305 printer. This time, I called the company's customer service and dealt with an uncooperative representative who said i would be sent one color cartridge, not two. I complained about that, but she said there was no evidence that the black cartridge that I had not ordered to begin with would not work. I told her that I had no desire to put another potentially defective cartridge in my printer, but she would not yield. Today that single replacement arrive and, while it did work in my printer, my printer also showed me that the cartridge had less than one-quarter of the amount of ink required to fill it. I have e-mailed the company demanding a refund and informing them that I will not purchase from them again. I suggest that Amazon.com no longer refer any business to this clearly mismanaged company -not at all what has been my experience in dealing with other companies to which Amazon.com has referred me for a purchase._

A good bargain in terms of price, but since they are remanufactured, one of the seals was not placed correctly and I received a leaky cartridge. It didn't leak out completely, but it was a mess to install and I'm sure I will have to replace that cartridge sooner than expected.

I've purchased quite a few of these ink tanks in yellow, cyan, magenta, and both sizes of black for my printer. The first couple I got worked well, so I ordered more. The past 5 of these I've used, however, have been horrible. The colors run, and produce lines in your printing. I have a brand new printer, and even cleaned the heads and nozzles to no avail. It's the ink. I'm really disappointed as these are significantly cheaper than the Canon cartridges, but in the end you get what you pay for. I'm buying Canon from now on.

I've used the LD brand inkjet cartridges in the past with an older Canon printer, and with one exception they were just fine. (One black ink cartridge spouted ink when I took the cover off, so now I'm more careful about opening any inkjet cartridge.)

After getting a low ink warning for the cyan cartridge on my new Canon Pixma MG-5320 printer, I was pleased to find LD cartridges here on Amazon and ordered this one. It arrived promptly and works just fine in my printer. I've now ordered more LD cartridges for this printer.

For several years I have successfully used this brand of cartridge in my Canon MX882 color printer. I usually buy these cartridges in full sets, but sometimes my inventory gets out-of-balance when my wife or I print certain documents with a single dominant color. That's when I buy cartridges for a single color. Not only are these cartridges significantly less-expensive than the Canon brand, I get good results with both documents on plain copy paper and photographs printed on premium, glossy photo paper.
