I bought a double pack of XL black ink. The first cartridge printed about 25 pages before causing our printer to give a non-descript "Cartridge error". I tried the second cartridge and there was no ink in it. It printed 1 page with streaks and then about 10-20 pages of grey, and then ran out completely.

These were half the price of original HP ink, and work the same! I couldn't be happier! The only issue is my printer doesn't recognize the ink level, but for the price savings, I don't care!!

I previously ordered Sophia refurbished ink cartridges that worked fine. (The printer recognized that they weren't HP, so I couldn't check ink levels, but there were no problems with printing.)The price on these was even better, so I decided to give them a shot.

I should've remembered the old adage "You get what you pay for." I could see that the shape of the cartridge did not match the shape of the HP or Sophia cartridge, but I was able to insert it without a problem. Once the printer tried to align the cartridges I got an error message about the cartridge being incompatible, and there was no way to clear the error message and/or print. At all.

These go back today, and rather than risk again even with the previously successful Sophia cartridges I will splurge on authentic HP. (School starts very soon can't afford any more delays! :)

Update: Still using ink out of this 9 pack. Granted, I don't use this Brother printer much, but this ink is great no worries. (I think it has been a year plus since I first bought them and they still work.)

I was shocked and skeptical. 9 cartridges for not much more than 1 name brand cartridge. They have to be junk, right?

Well, at least not yet from my experience. I have 3 of them in my Brother printer right now and haven't had a problem with them at all. I am so happy since this Brother "eats" ink like no other printer in the world.

If you have a Brother printer, this pack of 9 cartridges will help your pocket book and your finished product looks just as good as it would with a name brand ink.

The ink was horrible. One of the cyan inks that arrived had a leak and the other cyan leaked inside of my printer. I tried printing with a black ink and it printed very faint and blurry. I tried another black ink and it came out just as bad. I hope my printer can recover. I thought i was getting a great deal on ink but i guess i should have just paid the extra 20 bucks for some real Brother ink.

I am very disappointed.

After installing these cartridges they destroyed my Epson R1400 printer. I should have known! The cartridges required a great deal of force to place them in the ink carriage but no I was stupid and ran them anyway. The OEM's easily snap into place. Actually the black cartridge did work and then when I installed the two on the right side...I lost my printer and now hear the distinctive high pitched whistle of dying capacitors from the printer. Could this be a coincidence...maybe...but it did happen immediately after the two cartridge install?? After installing these I could hear the print carriage making a slight scraping sound on calibration. What really gets my head banging against the wall is I had a complete set of OEM's on the shelf and decided to give these facsimile cartridges a try.

Now I have to buy a new printer because the R1400 is unusable and I really loved that printer. (Not in a Sicko way but a War Buddy way) (We've battled a lot of projects together) All this trying to save a few dollars on ink! This is where frugality cost me much more than I saved....Goodbye old friend!

The prints looked OK, not great but OK, then I realized that as I added more of these remanufactured cartridges the ink wasn't drying. Even after days it still smears.

I debating whether to toss it. A very expensive mistake.

The OEM printer ink works well but this printer ink cannot reset the count down to empty like a Lexmart 1 cartridge can. Extra step now needed to allow printing. Have found all printer cartridge (replacement) do this. Not as handy as OEM but for the price I'll suffer.

There is an old saying if it seems too good to be true ..........

I have Dell printers & have always been forced to buy direct from Dell for my replacement ink cartridges at exorbitant prices. They are now available at Staples but at an even higher prices.

When I found replacement cartridges thru Amazon with Tonerpals, at less than half the price I had been paying for years, it seemed too good to be true. I immediately ordered a pack of two color & two black ink cartridges.

When I received them I immediately installed a color cartridge into my printer. I didn't need to replace the black ink cartridge as it was still half full. In short the color cartridge was unacceptable. The quality of the print was a joke. It was as if the cartridge was already out of ink.

I cannot recommend ink cartridges sold by Tonerpals to anyone.

On the bright side; however, I did receive a full refund after returning all 4 cartridges. Amazon was extremely helpful in guiding me thru the return process.

As of now, I have only been printing with one of the two cartridges I bought, and it is working great. Have had some bad experiences with other refurbished ink cartridges, so I am not considering the other cartridge a done deal yet, and would be less than surprised if it turned out to be a dud. But, so far so good, just keeping my fingers crossed that the second one works.

This 2 pack came to me in a small plain white box. I opened it and found 2 original ink cartridges that had the tops of them cut off to be refilled. The tops were then, crudely, glued back on with super glue.

The first cartridge provided 15 sheets of paper printed before it ran dry.

The second provided a mere 10..... You get what you pay for.

This system has been a real headache for us. It does not fit our Epson RX600 at all without some significant revisions to the printer itself. The instructions that came with the product and the website that they provide does not have instructions at all for our printer. We had to go on-line to a totally different company to find a work-around that was only tolerable at best. We have kept the CIS ink system but are really disappointed. The ink tends to smear as paper is fed through the printer and has some light spots here and there. It is very noisy, making you fearful that something will break or wear out. Consequently, as soon as the print job starts, we open the printer to watch it working and ensure that nothing is rubbing or wearing out. It would fit our R200 just fine, but we wanted it for our primary printer (RX600). Either quit advertising it as working on an RX 600 or publish some better instructions.

I have the Epson R300 photo printer that I use for pictures as well as printing on CD's and DVD's. It uses 6 different ink cartridges which run about $15 each and hold about 15cc's of ink. I initially was going to get a refill kit, but now I am glad that I got the CISS (Continuous Ink Supply System). Refilling can be messy plus you also have to deal with resetting the chips in the cartridges. Also, when the ink started to run low, the colors would shift before I got any warning so I was stuck with crappy prints or reprinting. The CISS has 100 cc's of ink to use so it should last a while. It runs like the cartridges are always full. The prints look the same as with the Epson inks. Installation was not difficult. I did have air in one of the lines and when I tried to clear it, I almost had a big mess, but I caught it just in time -important note: keep the reservoir tanks even with or below the level of the cartridges. I also think that if you have enough ink in the Cartridge piece that any air in the lines does not matter and will clear itself. The vendor has links to Youtube videos of all of their products since that is their installation instructions. Actually pretty simple and if you can put an ink cartridge in your printer, you can do this. I will probably get a set of the ink refills to have on hand provided it has a decent shelf life. Now I am looking for good buys on photo paper.

I've only had this for a few days, but so far I am very happy. The shipping and packaging was fast and excellent, ordered Wednesday night, arrived Saturday afternoon on Standard shipping and was well packaged. Took me all of about 30 minutes to install and purge the supply lines. My printer is about 5 years old, so it took quite a number of head cleanings to get this cleaned up (head cleaning time is included in the 30 minutes), but once this was done I printed some photos and am very pleased with the quality of the prints. On generic premium glossy photo paper the ink is almost dry by the time the sheet is out of the printer and the color quality and saturation is as good as the OEM cartridges as far as I can tell. I found no indication of bleeding or running and the detail is sharp and clear. The Piano Box tank unit is larger than I had expected, but two Velcro strips (not supplied) hold it nicely to the left side of the printer.

My only complaint, and the reason for the 4-star rating, is the quality of the instructions in the box. PrintPayLess REALLY needs to have someone who's primary language is English write these sheets. They also are VERY limited, and refer you to their website. This would be fine, if they actually had instructions for the RX500 on the site. This kit fits several different Epson printers that use the T048 style cartridges, but neither of the 2 installation videos on the site cover the RX500. The included tubing clips were of no use on the RX500 due to interference with the underside of the top cover. Fortunately, while I was researching these kits, I found a UK site for a similar product which had video instructions for the RX500, so I was able to adapt their instructions to install this kit. As it turned out, a 2 inch piece of clear packing tape to hold the tubes in place solved the interference problem and keeps the tubes out of the way of the print head carriage.

I have no qualms recommending this PrintPayLess CISS kit to anyone, but you will need to be creative in mounting the lines as the included clips don't fit properly on the RX500. For the cost of the kit and the savings on ink costs, this is a minor frustration.

I'd considered buying a Continuous Ink System for several years, but the ones I found seemed fussy and pricey (around $200), so I settled for buying refilled cartridges. However, the overall waste and price still bothered me, especially the way my printer uses all the colors even when printing in black and white (you can select "black ink only" as an option, but it does use a tiny bit of the colors and then when you change the black cartridge, it uses ink to "charge" the system). Also, if one color runs out, it will not print at all!

We'd considered buying a new printer that might use less ink, but our printer (Epson Stylus Photo RX500) works just fine, so I decided to revisit the CIS options and was very pleased to find this relatively sleek unit on Amazon. The price of this entire system plus shipping is about the same as buying *one* set of new cartridges, so I decided to give it a try. I bought my system from PrintPayLess and was so very impressed with their customer service in the form of prompt, friendly help while I was troubleshooting setup. If you buy from them, they will work with you until everything is working properly!!

A friend who had made the leap to CIS several years back warned me that they can require a bit of finagling to get working, but once they work you don't have to change cartridges again; you can refill into the outer wells. I am very, very happy with this and also happy that we can continue to use our perfectly good printer/copier for years to come without generating a lot of waste from the cartridges. Great product!

I was initially worried about the quality, but I have been consistently impressed by the high quality, the price is fantastic, and I love that this seller doesn't hide any extra costs in shipping, as a lot of generic product sellers do.

I've been using this ink, both black and color, for over two years without ever having a problem. I taught at a school without a photocopier available to me, so I print out dozens of pages daily, and sometimes hundreds at a time. I print in black and white and color, including overhead transparencies and occasionally pictures. The quality consistently has been good, and I have not noticed any difference in quality from the Brother ink. (I did try changing to a different generic brand on Amazon to very poor results.)

You might not get as long a cartridge life as you do from the Brother original I'm not sure, though I've read this criticism but at this price, who cares?

We are using these totally now in our 3 year old Brother MFC640CW. Just be sure to keep your ink heads cleaned. We also do a lot of gardening photography and go through a lot of ink cartridges. We are satisfied with the overall performance. The black is really sharp. Occasionally, the printer will not recognize one of the other colors, but since the price is so low, we simply absorb the cost and pop in another one.

The black color is definitely a winner. With clean ink heads we get sharp and outstanding print jobs.

After reading these almost all positive reviews, I ordered these cartridges for my brother multi-fuction center. Make sure to remove the plastic cover over the ink outlet at the bottom of the cartridge (something you don't have to do with the Brother brand cartridges)so the ink can come out! : The print-outs are of acceptable quality. I still think the Brother brand black ink cartridges are a tad crisper with print outs but this is fine for all regular use documents. If you're printing any documents for publishing, don't use these, but for all else, they are just fine.

This is a great product. Even though it's not made by Brother the ink is of great quality. I just ordered my first set of ink in March and I had doubts on how great the ink would be or if it would work in my Brother MFC printer/copier/fax. I was greatly relieved once I printed out my first test copy and saw how awesome the quality was. No smears, dark rich black it was perfect. I just used up my 2 out of 3 ink cartridge today and ordered another combo pack today because i'm impressive on how great and inexpensive this product is! I would definitely recommend this product!

I'm still on my first cartridge and have been doing a lot of printing at college. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because they're off brand and I can never bring myself to Fully trusting them. They work great and are were perfectly compatible with my printer. The only thing is... If you rely heavily on your ink level display, the cartridges do not work like the real dell ones. They will always read empty from your printer and computer. This is a simple fix though, by simply turning off the ink level read-out through your printer options, you do not get the "low ink level" warning every time you go to print. You just have to watch your prints to see if you are running out of ink. This isn't too much of a hassle compared to the money saved.

The EnviroInks work well in my dell printer. The only thing is that when you use these you can not read your ink level which can be annoying but other than that they work fine. It is a much better deal money wise and being able to reuse.

Dell printer would not recognize these ink cartridges. Amazon's return window had expired, since I ordered the cartridges two months in advance of when I anticipated needing a new cartridge. When I complained to the seller that they didn't work, they made me jump through all sorts of hoops to try to get them to work----did you try this, did you try that, send us a picture of them, what manufacturing center did they come from, etc., etc. In the end, the seller did not stand behind their product, and I'm stuck with three useless cartridges. DO NOT buy from this seller!

I own a HP Laserjet 1150 and it recently ran out of toner and I was in dire need of a new cartridge because school started this week. After looking at various department stores and warehouse clubs, I was distraught over the prices of toner from these various locations. We've had this toner cartridge about a month and so far it functions just like the HP version. The shape is different, so it took a few minutes to figure out which end to put in first, but once we figured that out, it's been working fine. Way too early to tell if it will last as long as the HP, but so far, so good.
