There is an old saying if it seems too good to be true ..........

I have Dell printers & have always been forced to buy direct from Dell for my replacement ink cartridges at exorbitant prices. They are now available at Staples but at an even higher prices.

When I found replacement cartridges thru Amazon with Tonerpals, at less than half the price I had been paying for years, it seemed too good to be true. I immediately ordered a pack of two color & two black ink cartridges.

When I received them I immediately installed a color cartridge into my printer. I didn't need to replace the black ink cartridge as it was still half full. In short the color cartridge was unacceptable. The quality of the print was a joke. It was as if the cartridge was already out of ink.

I cannot recommend ink cartridges sold by Tonerpals to anyone.

On the bright side; however, I did receive a full refund after returning all 4 cartridges. Amazon was extremely helpful in guiding me thru the return process.

As of now, I have only been printing with one of the two cartridges I bought, and it is working great. Have had some bad experiences with other refurbished ink cartridges, so I am not considering the other cartridge a done deal yet, and would be less than surprised if it turned out to be a dud. But, so far so good, just keeping my fingers crossed that the second one works.

This 2 pack came to me in a small plain white box. I opened it and found 2 original ink cartridges that had the tops of them cut off to be refilled. The tops were then, crudely, glued back on with super glue.

The first cartridge provided 15 sheets of paper printed before it ran dry.

The second provided a mere 10..... You get what you pay for.

I've never had a printer last more than 2 years, so the list of printers that Amazon has stored for me along with its recommendations of compatible cartridges is becoming rather prolific and complicated--perhaps even too much for Amazon's market-leading consumer-tracking technology. In this case, the fault is not completely the consumer's (blame Canon's hyperactive printer production teams if you prefer not to bring your case against Amazon). The claim in the cap-letters that the PGI-220 is compatible with the MP610 is simply wrong. the Canon Pixma 620 and the Canon Pixma 610, despite the implication of the bold-font description, do not share the same cartridges. This cartridge will fit the MP620 Canon printer but NOT the MP610. Moreover, the personalized little box with the heading "Will this work in your printer?," has also got it wrong. This cartridge will not work with the Canon Pixma MP560 printer (even before it died on me), regardless of what Amazon says.

Ironically, the heading does NOT list one of the machines this cartridge actually WILL work in, namely the Canon Pixma MP640, which is the printer I'm ordering it for.

Now you've at least reduced the odds against a non-OEM cartridge falling short of expectations in your Canon printer. At best, it will come reasonably close to a Canon cartridge (but no guarantees that it won't clog your ink nozzles); at worst, the clone cartridge will spill black ink over your papers and person before it's taken its proper seat inside your printer. After a couple of frustrating episodes of "deep-cleaning" (sufficiently vigorous to empty an entire freshly-installed cartridge), I discovered one last-ditch method guaranteed to work (if the problem indeed is a clogged ink jet). Pick up one of those aerosol cans with compressed air and blast it through the ink-releasing nozzle. The results were instantaneous, dramatic and effective.

Like all the other inks from Ink it up 4 less, this one gets the job done. The employees at Staples also do not pay close enough attention and allow me to turn it in for the $2 ink recycling, making this ink very inexpensive. It does appear at times to print darker than OEM ink.

The print quality and yield are good enough but when I removed the protective tape that covered the print head, ink leaked on my hands and desktop. Could have been an issue with that cartridge but quality control may be an issue from this supplier.

The toner cartridges I bought supposedly fit my Brother MFC-6490CW printer, but in fact they did not. Their configuration is substantially different from the manufacturer's cartridge and the printer would not recognize nor use the ones I received from this company. Too bad.

I didn't want to write a review , but this keeps popping up.

I have bought other non -manufactures ink cartridges for my Canon MX Pixma 860 printer as well as manufactures original products. These cartridges were a deal money wise ,but since I have installed them, no matter what I have tried , my printer will not work.

I do not know how to tell if the cartridges are the cause of my printer refusing to print without spending about $16.00 each for two cartridges I had to install. Maybe some one else who bought these cartridges and had good luck and no problems can give a good review of the product.

My printer does not show as not recognizing the cartridges, but just refuses to print. It may be the quality of the ink, liquid or something I'm not aware of. But there is nothing wrong with my printer that it should not print.

I myself am having the same problem that alot of other reviewers are having with this product! While I am happy with the HP Printer itself, this #21 cartridge doesnt hold enough ink and runs out VERY FAST(mine ran out in two weeks). Keep in Mind that I only use the ink to print postage and I always use the fast draft which uses less ink and I STILL have to replace the cartridge frequently. I can only imagine if I used the normal print mode, I would be running to the store every other day to replace the cartridge. Of course most of us know that these companies dont make money on the actually printers, they make money on the ink! Anyway, I am going to try one of those refill kits and see if that cuts down on the cost!

I have to disagree with people that think they aren't getting their money's worth on ink. I have an Officejet 4315 that I use to print several pages per week for school. I also own an Inkjet 697C. Yes, the 697 cartridges have twice as much ink, but they are also twice as expensive at around $25-30 each. I simply changed my default print setting to Draft, which prints 300 dpi, and it prints B&W text just as nicely as the Normal setting (600 dpi). You may not want to do this if you print work/professional graphics all the time, but I used the Draft setting on color for printouts for my Anatomy & Physiology II class last semester, which worked just fine. 1 black ink cartridge (HP 21) on the Draft setting will last me most of a school semester, printing 10 20 pages per week (of mostly text with a few graphics). I used 1 plus a partial color cartridge (HP 22) last semester.

As a computer consultant, this is such a pet peeve. Printer companies selling printers at megacheap prices so you can be gouged with ink. This has 5 mL of ink in this cartridge. Now, check out the HP 56 cartridge -19 mL for about the same price. Remember, it's the same product inside -ink.

Think about it, if you buy this cartridge, you are getting $6 worth of ink for $20ish. Each new cartridge would be $14 you could have spent on a better printer.

Makes you wonder about the integrity of the seller when the product description says "Genuine Epson Ink", then you read on the ready to buy page, in comments section "Sophia Global Inkjet cartridges....certified factory to be compatible... and "Best Quality Compatible".

You are lead to believe that these are real Epson inks and they aren't.

I have nothing against using ink made by someone other than the manufacturer, but one should know it and it should be very clear. The fact that the seller doesn't makes this completely clear, is worrisome.

Quality: good, no problem, but: Don't last long enough and cost way too much.

Problem: I have used the cheaper ($) inks in several different printers (HP and Epson currently) and hate to have to pay the higher prices of these inks, but darn it, I have had more trouble with the cheaper ones, often needing more head cleaning if not used frequently. One actually spilled out of its cartridge in my printer!

Usage: I only use my printers every so many days, not daily, so this is a problem for me. I find the more expensive printer manufacturer brands seem to work better under my usage. Bummer, hate the higher price. But...such is life.

The issue: The printer companys' live and die off their disposable sales, not the hardware. So, even once in a while you might want to support them if you like the printer. But, if anyone knows of a really GOOD third party ink supplier, let me know. Then I will probably use them. Competition needs to increase so the prices come down, especially on these newer printers that seem to EAT INK (like Epsons -they are one of the "hungriest" I think).When the price of the printer becomes less than the cost to replace the ink something is wrong.

There has been a lot of price variation on this ink set, from very low to higher than the cost of the 8 cartridges bought separately. It appears that when you order at a very low price, you get ink whoose expiration date has passed. In my case, the price was about 1/3 the current listed price. The ink was shipped without the original box, but in the original heavy plastic shrink wrapped inner packaging. The packing slip said that the ink was genuine, but past its expiration date. Since there is no date on the inner wrapping, there is no way to tell how far past expiration it is. I have no major problem with this as the price was extremely low and I have used ink in the past which was way past the expiration date with no apparent issues, as long as it is kept air-tight. I do think Amazon should list it separately from boxed, fresh ink in the complete original packaging. The seller I bought from had several different prices during the 2 weeks or so I was price-checking, and they sold out quickly when they were listed. Perhaps the price depends on how old the ink is. With these caveats, I am satisfied with the purchase. Delivery was extremely fast, although a bit pricy, and the product was as described, since, technically, no claim was made that the ink was fresh.

I gave the CIS system for the Epson Artisan 700 to a family member (the 6-color model). They have been extremely pleased with it. I decided to finally purchase one for my Epson Workforce 600. Overall, it works great. I'm satisfied with its function.

I do wish that it had more capacity in the black in reservoir. Some of the competing models do. As far as installation, the double-sided sticky tape on the ribbon holders was a bit fussy. It was extremely difficult to remove the protective plastic off of the tape without ripping some of the double-sided sticky tape off of the clip. And yet, the adhesive can be a bit weak. I ended up super-gluing the ribbon guide that attaches to the traveling print head.

Still, despite these complaints, I'm really satisfied. This thing is saving me money.
