Item arrive in a timely manner. However, when I installed the ink, the quality of the print was terrible. The ink was extremely faint and you could hardly see it. I printed several times only to get the same result. Then I removed the newly installed ink and swapped it another set (because I order 2 set) and this time blank paper spit out of the printer. The printer ran as though it was printing but noting was actually printed. I tried several times to print and got the same result.

So far so good! The instructions were great and very detailed. I refilled my cartridge, only minimally stained my fingers, and used the "clean" function on my printer. The test pages were looking good! The one thing I don't like is my printer is still displaying the ink levels as low. Oh well, as long as it works!

You need to constantly refill the ink catridge every time you are going to print. The problem is that the ink does not last long. It works but it goes out fast. I don't print often but when I do I need to refill the ink catridge.

I bought a double pack of XL black ink. The first cartridge printed about 25 pages before causing our printer to give a non-descript "Cartridge error". I tried the second cartridge and there was no ink in it. It printed 1 page with streaks and then about 10-20 pages of grey, and then ran out completely.

These were half the price of original HP ink, and work the same! I couldn't be happier! The only issue is my printer doesn't recognize the ink level, but for the price savings, I don't care!!

I previously ordered Sophia refurbished ink cartridges that worked fine. (The printer recognized that they weren't HP, so I couldn't check ink levels, but there were no problems with printing.)The price on these was even better, so I decided to give them a shot.

I should've remembered the old adage "You get what you pay for." I could see that the shape of the cartridge did not match the shape of the HP or Sophia cartridge, but I was able to insert it without a problem. Once the printer tried to align the cartridges I got an error message about the cartridge being incompatible, and there was no way to clear the error message and/or print. At all.

These go back today, and rather than risk again even with the previously successful Sophia cartridges I will splurge on authentic HP. (School starts very soon can't afford any more delays! :)

There are two places I can find ink for my R2400 other than amazon. Adorama (which sells them in amazon) and Atlex.

Both are almost the same as far as pricing except Adorama's shipping is free. Atlex is close to my studio so I can drive there if I want to pick up some ink or paper the same day if it is required.

On a side note I hate that companies try to force you to upgrade and create landfills of these machines that work well. I had to run a special program to stop the printer from auto-stopping which Epson does to make sure the quality of it's prints doesn't diminish which is another way of saying that you need to throw away the machine and buy another. Planned Obsolescence in other words. I hope to continue using this printer for several more years. The price of ink has gone up every year and it used to cost $9 and now it's up to $13 per cartridge.

I have had my Epson 2400 printer for 4 years now. Still going strong, produces great pictures. Epson ink is very good. But just like any other inkjet printer. They are making quit a bit of money on the ink. A whole inkset for this printer is $100 at a discounted price. And in the years since it has been out and replaced by a newer updated unit. The price of the ink has not gone down. But what can you do. Once you buy the printer your stuck with buying their ink until you get a differnt printer.

I decided to try these Brother High Yield Inks are expensive if you print a lot of color pictures. I have not had good luck in the past but decided to try these. I just installed the yellow yesterday and so far so good. Good color, did not splotch or run or smear. If I don't have any problem with the other colors or the black I will come back and give this ink a higher rating next month.

WHEN YOU FIRST open the cartridge package be careful with the small paper tag across the top clip yellow clip don't yank it off pull gently so you don't break or snap off the top clip. If you do break the top clip off it will not snap into the printer slot correctly.

I print 6-10 full color pages per week so I will know in short order how this ink is going to hold up. I have a Brother Wireless Business Smart All-In-One Printer and it is good to print some color pages periodically so it doesn't clog up it is one of the self cleaning printers so it will use some color ink on it's own. I have been impressed with the color pages I have printed the last couple of days, they really looked sharp. The ink indicater on the printer screen does show that I put a new, full cartridge in the printer. That is very helpful. I did not get any warning messages about using a non-oem cartridge. I will be adding to this review after a time I hope to be able to give this product a five star rating as the price and service was fantastic.

UPDATE 10-27-2013

OK this ink now gets a five star from meI'm able to say the ink quality is very good. The stationary I'm printing and the color photos are crisp and smooth. The price is half of what I had been paying and the service has been excellent so far. It doesn't matter how great the price is if the product is inferior or has been misrepresented in some manner. I will be buying this ink for sometime to come I think I'll stock up as a matter of fact.

I received the cartridges by USPS mail in only one day! The cartridges fit into my MFC-J4410DW printer with no issues and work fine so far. Generic branded cartridges are always a better deal than those from the manufacturer and in years of buying them on-line I've never had a bad purchase. This deal is even better because these are the equivalent of the Super High Yield (LC105/LC107) Brother cartridges, with more ink in them than the standard High Yield (LC103) cartridges at about the same price that others are charging for the High Yield ones. One qualifier: be sure that the cartridges are appropriate for your specific printer model. In searching products on Amazon I saw a number of reviewers complaining about incompatibility with their printer, even when their printer model wasn't listed (or, in one case, when their printer model was specifically mentioned as NOT being compatible). But if these cartriges fit your printer I don't think you can go wrong at these prices and with the speedy delivery!

Only the black ones worked... I opened every last one of the colored ones the printer picked up that it had new ink just when you printed something there was no color... (yes I cleaned it like a dozen times so it wasn't the printer it was the ink cartridges... I think) But I have had sooooo many issues with my printer it makes me want to scream so I was not suprised when the ink did not work in the printer Im just a litte bummed out that I spent the money and still have no colored ink....

These ink cartridges let me get a lot more use out of my HP printer. Some reviewers have written that HP charges low prices for their printers only to give us all sticker shock when it comes time to buy ink--and they're right! However, this two-pack of ink cartridges suits me well. I get extra ink (a lot of extra ink) in the black ink cartridge and the regular amount of ink in the tri-color ink cartridge.

At first you might think that I should have purchased both cartridges with extra ink. However, that would be a little bit of overkill for me. I use black ink way more than I do color, one reason being that banks (at least where I live) no longer give you your checks back with your checking statement; so I always make a copy of my check (using just black ink) before I send it off to pay a bill. Thus the extra black ink really comes in handy; my usage requires a lot less color ink than black ink. If you need more ink in both cartridges go for the two-pack with both cartridges having extra ink.

This two pack of ink cartridges (one black with extra ink, the other a regular tri-color) work well with my HP Deskjet 3050 printer; I'm really able to use the extra black ink. I highly recommend these ink cartridges for anyone who has a HP printer that needs them and uses much more black ink than color ink.
