I do digital fine art, and crisp color and black and white are very important when doing limited edition giclee prints. Unfortunately, no matter what settings I used on either of my printers, black and white images came out sepia. For basic printing, these would be just fine. If color clarity really matters, I probably wouldn't recommend these. Sorry.

You need to constantly refill the ink catridge every time you are going to print. The problem is that the ink does not last long. It works but it goes out fast. I don't print often but when I do I need to refill the ink catridge.

I installed this in a Brother MFC-J415W printer. I had some problems at first with print jobs looking terrible. Selecting the self-clean option on the printer fixed it, but then the problem returned. I had to do this three times or so, but after that it's worked great. I can't say for sure if it was the printer or the ink. I bought some colored ink at the same time and I didn't have any problems. Either way, considering the ridiculous cost of ink from a store and the outstanding cost of this cartridge, I'll definitely be buying this again next time my ink runs out.

These refurbished cartridges work great in my HP Photosmart all in one. They cost a fraction of the price and seem to produce the same quality pictures or documents. The pop-up window that shows how full your ink cartridges are won't work with these. It always shows that you are out of ink, even when it's full. That's not a big deal. It's easy enough to look at the documents and tell when you are out of ink.

All in all, a great product for a lot less money than HP cartridges.

I have heard that using refurbished cartridges will void the warranty on your printer, so if that's a concern for you then think about it. For me I spend way more money on ink than what my printer costs, so I'd rather have the savings on the ink.

shipping was fast pictures come out just as they did when i first got the printer. they only thing thats tricky is when you fist replace them. i had to open the ink door again and put the old ones back in close the door let it do its thing there. when its finished open it back up again and replace them with the new ones it tricked the printer into thinking the original cartridges were in when they weren't so that was my little trick to get it to stop showing me the message that i was low on ink or no ink cartridge available . overall great replacement and for the price cant really beat that would definitely buy again.

I bought this over a month ago with some reservations. As we all know, remanufactured ink comes with a big risk. But since the price was so much cheaper than the HP version, I decided to give it a shot.

I am happy to report that after a month of use, everything is fine and dandy. Never once has the replacement ink not worked and each time I printed something, the colors came out like they are supposed to(no difference from the HP version).

Although this experience turned out well, a few other users still reported problems. So I say give it a shot(with the price being so low) but keeping in mind that there's a small chance that something could go wrong.

These Cartridges are 1/2 Yield if anything. They should not be called High Yield Ink Cartridges. I thought wow what a great price for full cartridges. I have now tried seven of the eight cartridges and not have any of them work. Two leaked, one would not fit, four would not register in my computer printer. Ink4work should not be allowed to sell on Amazon. They should continue to use a sign on the side of the road. Thje sign read Ink-4-Work. Amazon please don't allow these people to sell on your site it puts a tarnish on your wonderful website. I will be asking for a refund. Fol;ks try Buyiteasy ink cartridges. they worked much better. I used these cartridges to replace the starters that came with my Brother MFC-J825DW printer. The printer recognized the replacements just fine and the quality of printing seems as good as with the ink supplied by Brother. As long as I keep getting results like this, I will continue purchasing replacements from this supplier, especially with their very reasonable prices.

That pretty much covers it. The first two color cartridges that I replaced seemed to work fine. When I replaced the black it was so weak I could just almost make out what it was printing. I replaced that one with the second and it leaked ink on my carpet and jammed the printer. Stick with OEM!

I rated this item 4/5 because there was not indication if the plastic film ink port should have the film removed, or just insert the cartridge into the printer. Also, the items ship without the plastic ink port cover that you would find on Brother cartridges. Otherwise, they work just fine for a fraction of name brand cartridges. I haven't used up my first cartridge, so not sure of the page yield yet. I would buy again.

I recently purchased the whole set of refill inks for the first time after years of buying very good quality refurb cartridges for my HP printers. The only reason I went with the refill kit was the availability of the 564 cartridge "with chip" was scarce and the pricing wasn't all that great. I've always been skeptical of refill kits but took a chance anyways. I'll shout it from the top my lungs "The Intec refill kit is super easy to use!" Just go to their site and watch the brief instructional video before you touch anything. Follow the instructions!!! Wear your latex gloves, do the refill on a paper towel, use your head. For less than half the price of a set of HP OEM cartridges you get 3-5 refills depending on regular or XL cartridges! Wow! What is HP smoking anyways, charging almost a $100 for complete set of XL cartridges? Absurd! I'm using this kit on a HP Photosmart Premium w/fax (C309a) and have zero complaints. Printing a lot of CD/DVD's direct to disc which is the main reason I upgraded from the Photosmart C7280 AIO. Buy some silver inkjet hub printable discs, JVC or Verbatim (Taiyo Yuden blank media is now labeled JVC) link: Taiyo Yuden 100 x DVD-R 4.7 GB 16x silver ink jet printable surface, printable inner hub brick storage media (pack of 6 ) and prepare to have your mind blown by how awesome they look. Your friends and family will be jealous at first and then get tired of you showing them all the cool discs you're printing with your awesome new printer. I purchared this refill kit months ago and have already used it for several refills. It is so simple that after using it once, you will be able to refill again and again without using the instructions. I suggest you read the instructions carefully the first time and follow them exactly. I found that removing and refillintg one cartridge at a time gives the best results. I also warn against overfilling. When it says 3ml, do not try to put in 4ml as it will overflow and there will be a clean-up job. Use the gloves and have several paper towels handy.

Every HP ink cartridge contains a "chip: that contains the date of manufacture and the approximate ink level. Refilling the cartridge will not reset this chip and the printer will continue to indicate the ink level to be low. Just ignore this information and enjoy the savings. I now use my printer more freely, printing pictures and color documents without the concern of running out of ink. I also haved saved a lot of money.

Followup to my previous review: this is a followup comment after using this product for several months. This product worked fine for a while and then would not work properly. The problem was that of missing colors, broken text, and some times no print at all. Starting the printer head self-cleaning routine fixed the problem temporarily but the problem keeps coming back. The problem became worse overtime and eventually it rendered the cartridges unusable. The problem went away as soon as I installed a new original HP cartridges. I tried to refill a different set of cartridges and the problem is still the same. It works for a short time and then becomes problematic. Perhaps, it works shortly after the first refill because there was some left over HP ink in the cartridge that helped with lubrication or ink flow in the tiny flow channels. My next attempt was to refill using ink I had bought from Stratitec using a syringe I bought from Stratitec in conjunction with the refill clip that came with the Inktek kit. I simply drew ink using the syringe and a needle, removed the needle, inserted the tip of the syringe directly inside the port on the Inktek refill clip, and empty the contents into the cartridge via the clip. This refill technique worked fine. After the refill, the yellow, cyan, and magenta color refills presented the same kind of problem as those of Inktek inks. They did not work. I did not have Stratitec photo black ink; therefore, I have not tested that. The normal black ink cartridge refill using Stratitec pigment type black ink worked fine. The pigment type black ink apparently flows readily inside the printer head flow channels; however, it tends to wet the paper. The print quality is not as good as HP ink, especially if you print double sided. It is acceptable for day to day printing task where high quality is not essential.

In summary, I have now settled for using Startitec pigment black ink for refilling the black ink cartridge. I have to use the HP factory ink for the rest. Maybe someone can test bulk refill ink from other vendors using the refill technique I described above and tell us about some refill success.

The following is my original review:

I have the HP PhotoSmart all-in-one printer Model 309A and it uses a lots of ink. It is not cheap to buy the HP ink cartridges for this printer. Typically, it costs about $100 to buy all four original HP ink cartridges and they do not last very long. I was really considering junking my printer and looking around to buy a another printer that has a low cost per page.

I had used ink refill kit from Stratitec before for my old printer and I was happy with their product. One refill kit last me for several years with typical use of a family of four. However, Stratitec did not have the refill kit for my new printer.

After looking around, I came across the Inktec refill kit. Here are the positives:

1. Easy to refillThe Inktec kit is specific to my HP 564 cartridge and it contained only what I needed to fill my specific cartridge. Compared to this, some other refill kits are intended to refill all kind of brands and models and I had to read the manual in detail to understand which tools in the kit to use for which cartridge. I did not have to go through that for Inktec.

For Inktec refill kit, the ink bottle itself serves as a fat refill syringe; therefore, you do not have to deal with additional ink bottles, syringes and steps. This is a good product design which has greatly simplified the steps involved in refilling.

During refill, the ink may overflow through the cartridge vent, located on top of the cartridge, if you added to much ink in to the cartridge.

Tip: I do my refill task inside a stainless steel kitchen sink. If there is any spill, I can easily wash it down the drain.

2. The negative, if you call it a negative, the volume of refill ink is about a quarter of the volume I used to get for my old Stratitec refill kit. You may still get 3-6 refills from the Inktec refill kit depending on whether your cartridge is the standard HP cartridge or the extra volume HP cartridge.

Quality of the ink? I use my printer to print documents and often to print a label on a CD. I do not use it for printing photos. For my use, I did not see a difference with HP original ink and with the Intec refill. Overall I am happy with the Inktec refill kit.

This is nearly the same review as the one for the related black refill and color refill kit.

The only reason I don't give this kit 5-stars is the fault of HP, not the kit itself.

This is a good kit for someone looking to save a bundle on cartridges.

Ink cartridges have gotten progressively smaller over the years and despite increases in efficiency, these smaller cartridges have kept the cost of printing relatively constant over time. This is fine for some things, but in the technology arena, we expect more for less as time goes on. With this kit, it's possible to print more for less.

If you follow the instructions carefully and don't overfill cartridges (big mess) or leave your cartridges out of the printer for an extended period (they'll dry out), this kit will allow you to refill cartridges numerous times for less than the cost of buying a new HP cartridge.

The only disadvantage of this over purchasing new cartridges is that your printer will continue to complain that your ink is low, as the microprocessor in the cartridge will tell the printer it is still empty. This is by design to force you to purchase new cartridges. Just ignore the error. Eventually, your cartridges will also "expire," when they go past the manufacturer's shelf life limit, but again as long as you've followed the instructions, you can ignore these errors and continue to experience printing quality that's comparable with brand new cartridges.

Be aware that this kit is only for the Photo Black cartridge, not for the Primary Black cartridge. You need this kit for that cartridge: InkTec Refill Kit for HP 564 CB316WN and HP 564XL CB321WN Pigment Inkjet Cartridge-Black

You will also need the color kit: Inktec Refill Kit for HP 564 and HP 564XL Inkjet Cartridge-Cyan/Magenta/Yellow

I hesitated to buy this, but the price of new ink cartridges is so prohibitive, that I decided to give it a try. It worked. It took a few minutes to figure out, but it was quick and simple and only slightly messy. I had to rinse a bit of ink off my fingers afterward, but nothing to complain about, and my printer worked immediately in a good clean print out.

Lovely packaging, says it is a US based company that offers award winning remanufactured inkjet cartridges. I bought the right product and the cartridge looks almost exactly like my old 220.

To their credit the company emailed me the next day to ask why I was returning the ink, apparently Amazon doesn't let the seller in on this information until the item is received. They told me they have never encountered this problem and thought maybe the chips were bad, and could they send 1 or 2 cartridges back for me to try on my printer to investigate why the original ones did not work. But I no longer have the printer so I couldn't help them with that.

I would try their products again, but I would order ahead of time in case I had problems.

I'm using this cartridge and it seems to work just fine. However, after first reading the other review here, I was hesitant. I put this new cartridge in before my HP was completely empty and it works, but the "low" reading that was with the HP cartridge, has remained. So, I suspect the LD cartridges don't have the "chip" to create the readings to the computer on the status of the cartridge. Therefore, if the printer is completely empty as indicated from the HP cartridge, a new LD cartridge may not work, since it may not have the "chip" to inform the computer in the printer that a new full cartridge has arrived. To fix this, I'm buying HP cartridges to trick the printer back to the full cartridge indicator, and then sticking the LD cartridges in to use. I print alot and while it's a bit of a work-around, color printing is less $0.0060 per page based on $11.99 divided by 2000 pages. I would give it 5 stars if the chip was there.

This ink cartridge arrived fast and in great shape. It installed in my new HP Officejet Pro 8500A printer without problems. As mentioned in all reviews, the printer told me the cartridge was low of ink, which I expected. This doesn't bother me because I usually print until I see on the printout that I need to change the cartridge. I swapped out my brand new 940 that came with the printer (only used on about 5 pages) with this refill. As soon as it needs replacing I'll put back the original and buy more from these guys. I wanted to have a spare set of cartridges for my Canon MX870 printer. I researched several non-OEM vendors and found Sophia-Global as a preferred supplier. Sophia-Global is not just a re-seller or a one-person garage-type operation; they actually re-manufacture the printer cartridges in a leased 6,200 sq.ft. industrial facility in Lawrence, KS. Their manufacturing plant is certified to an ISO 9002 quality standard, so their product should have low defect rates.

Before purchasing their product I wanted to determine the compatibility with a Canon PIXMA MX870 printer. I contacted their customer service department and found their representative to be knowledgeable and courteous. I ordered the Sophia-Global 5-pack (C-221 (C,Y,M,B), C-220 BK) which was delivered in less than one week by US postal mail. The product was well packaged for shipping in a shipping envelope lined with bubble wrap. All cartridges were received in good condition (no damaged or leaking cartridges). The cartridges look almost identical to the original Canon cartridges including the electronic chip that sends signals for ink levels in each cartridge. I believe that these cartridges should work just fine in the MX870 printer. I will install these cartridges in my MX870 printer in a few months (after the current Canon cartridges are exhausted) and edit this post to include a product review about their performance.

11/15/2010 UPDATE: I installed the C-220 BK (large black ink cartridge) in my MX870 using the Sophia-Global instructions. The installation went smoothly with no leaking ink. During installation I compared the Canon and Sophia-Global cartridges and they are identical in design so there was no compatibility problems.The MX870 is running just find using the Sophia-Global C-220 BK cartridge.

These cartridges work great in my Canon MP620, and they are a fraction of the cost. I can get 2-5 packs for less than the price of one Canon ink cartridge. I've used every color and don't notice a bit of difference over the (much more expensive) Canon cartridges.

Buying non-oem cartridges is generally hit and miss. This ink set is about 1/3 the cost of OEM Canon inks. They were all recognized by my Pixma 4700 printer. I learned that you need to open 2nd manufacturer ink cartridges very carefully, holding the ink side up and dobbing the top of the ink to prevent spilling. Still blue ink spilled out onto the floor. I did a test color photo print and the quality was very poor, as expected. I would never use non-OEM inks for photos, but they work fine for documents where color quality and control are not important. Inkjet printer companies fleece consumers with the ink. I bought my Pixma printer for a mere seven dollars more than the cost of an ink set. Due to the ridiculously high prices of OEM inks, there are thousands of companies producing ink cartridges. As a photographer, I'm hoping that someday the OEM ink prices will be reduced or that non-OEM manufacturers will produce high quality ink at a more reasonable cost.

This ink from 77Ink arrived quickly, installed fine in my Canon MX860. I had to reseat the yellow once before the printer recognized it, but it worked fine after that. I printed out a picture at high quality on super glossy paper, and it came out better than the OEM ink did. I am a Web developer, doing graphics, html, programming, & print work, so I do a lot of printing out comps for my customers. This ink is super cheap and high quality. I will definitely use 77Ink again.

Canon inkjets are the second worse hogs of ink HP are out in front.

My canon died with the usual B200 error message. For two years, I used these cartridges and they were fine. They saved me the cost of a brand new printer, so in the cost / benefit coefficient, its cheaper to use these even IF they promoted to wear. Canon inks are that expensive, and for no discernible benefit on cost / benefit when viewed in cost / reliability perspectives.

Happily changed to a Brother, and it uses a fraction of the ink, in every way, that a Canon product does. And performs as well, or in some cases better (e.g. speed). My recommendation, tell Canon to shove their greedy profiteering up their ar5e.

I was very skeptical about buying this refill kit for our printer, because I didn't know how well it would work. I was pleasantly surprised that the ink was very nice and had the same high quality print colors that my original cartridges had. This product is accurately advertized, and prints excellently. This is the first time I have ever purchased such a product, and was originally apprehensive, but I'm glad I made the purchase. Something worth mentioning is that the product is packaged with vials and syringes for refilling, rather than the squeeze bottles as pictured, which is my preference anyway (see my posted image that is with customer photos link under the stock photo). Install was straight forward, however these are a tight fit, and required some finesse to make sure they 'clicked' in place. I advise reading the instructions, wearing gloves, and having some napkins on hand, as they will spit out a little bit of ink through the vent hole depending on how full they came (my cyan one was filled up all the way to the top and spit out a bit, while the others just had a few drips). Once installed I performed the three print head cleaning as the instructions required, and it prints properly, basically as well as the factory ink did. Keep in mind that this set includes 'dye' ink, not the factory 'pigment' ink. For most printing it wont matter, but purchase the pigment version of this product if you are looking for the absolute best prints. The printer monitoring software recognizes these carts are 125 cartridges as is advertized. No complaints from the printer so far, and unlike some brands, it accurately shows current ink levels.

The cartridges worked perfectly. After a few months the black ink cartridge stopped working, the printer did not recognize. I e-mailed the seller and they helped trouble shooting step by step. Given the trouble shooting didn't solve the problem, they mailed a replacement cartridge right out and back at printing once again.
