I installed this in a Brother MFC-J415W printer. I had some problems at first with print jobs looking terrible. Selecting the self-clean option on the printer fixed it, but then the problem returned. I had to do this three times or so, but after that it's worked great. I can't say for sure if it was the printer or the ink. I bought some colored ink at the same time and I didn't have any problems. Either way, considering the ridiculous cost of ink from a store and the outstanding cost of this cartridge, I'll definitely be buying this again next time my ink runs out.

Opened it up and walked to printer. Scratched leg with cartridge on way there. Ruined my shorts. Shook it to see if it was in fact leaking. Ruined wall, carpet and had to clean my wife's white desk. I try to make my negative reviews as objective as possible. This one highly disappointed and cost me in damage and time far more than I saved

Printer makers "give you the printer to sell the ink cartridge"! I was skeptical at first, but have been using these for a year now (low-medium volume printing) and I am very impressed! I recently suggested a friend buy a Brother printer just because of these low priced cart's.
