The cyan ink printhead is one of four printheads required by the HP d135 to operate. The other three are yellow, magenta, and black; these are all HP 14 printheads designed for this printer.

My HP d135 started informing me that the cyan printhead was bad and needed replacement; the manual informed me that the notification to replace would only be exhibited for one printhead at a time so I concluded it possible that one or more of the remaining three would probably need replacement as well.

I decided to go ahead and replace all four printheads which cost a lot of money; my HP d135 has been an excellent multipurpose scanner, fax, and printer so I decided to roll the dice and repair it rather than replace it. The jury is still out on the wisdom of that decision.

The printheads all have an install by date and it's important to check that date before you open the package; it makes it easier to return. The first cyan printhead I got from Amazon had an install by date of November 2008; needless to say I've started the process to return that one for full credit.

Replacement of the printheads should only be done when the new printhead is available and ready to install. The replacement process is really simple and takes just a few minutes; once the new printheads are in place, I installed all four new, the printer wants to align the printheads and asks the operator to press enter to align them.

This is fully automatic and uses one sheet of paper. All four printheads are available from Amazon sellers but please be sure and check the install by date before you open the package!

First off..HP is pretty smart to force you to buy color cartridges, even if you only want to print a word document in black and white. Not only that, but when you do print a word document with black font color, it still uses the color cartridges! I guess they need to make money some how, but come on..really?

But as for the product, these are "genuine HP cartridges" (at least my printer says so) so it works. I just hate HP for forcing us to buy this when you don't want to even use the color.

Wish I had found this set of ink jet head cleaning cartridges sooner. I had wasted about half of the ink in a fresh set of ink cartridges by running nozzle cleaning cycles before I found these and ordered them. I followed the instructions implicitly late in the evening and then let them sit in the printer overnight. Two more cleaning cycles with these the next morning, reinserted my ink cartridges, and my printer was back fuctioning properly. The cleaning cartridges still have lots of cleaning fluid in them so I sealed them back up with tape and zipped them into a zip lock bag for any needed future use.

NOTE: wear a pair of latex gloves when handling these. The fluid is thin and runny and is a very diluted black in color. Despite the diluted looking color it will stain your hands a bit if you don't wear gloves. There is nothing like that mentioned in the instructions. After priming the first cleaning cartridge and noting this I also placed some newspaper under the area where I was working.

The ink lines are too short to work properly with the Workforce 845. For that reasone alone, I have to give this product a 1 star rating.

As for how well the item works or doesn't work, I don't know because I couldn't get to the point of having it actually work.

It did clear up the error message from the printer. However it would not align properly. If you printed in black only, it looked like bold print. If you printed in color, you got a ghost image or colors were offset. It was not readable and would not align no matter what I did. Ended up buying a new printer.

I've had the canon mg5420 for about a year and FINALLY off brand inks are out! The 247 inks come with clear plastic casing that let you see the exact amount of ink you have which is very nice. The cartridges are a bit narrower than my canon ones, but clicked in nicely and started printing without errors. The print quality unfortunately is quite different than the Canon native inks. The magneta/pink color drowns out the other colors and browns/skin colors end up being very reddish. If you are printing business documents, or anything other than art or photos, I think this would be adequate but I use this for a small business printing greeting cards and need to know my exact color output. I don't expect the result will be as color-fast as Canon inks either, I plan to leave two prints out on a sunny window and see how they do. I assume that there will be no 'low printer ink' reminder because this is a very basic printer cartridge but you can look at it yourself and see which I am happy to do rather than pay more. I plan to buy their black inks in the future for document printing, and perhaps their color inks again for non-business printing needs.

Although these are sold as replacements for Canon PGI-250KL ink cartridges, so far the printer hasn't recognized any that we put in. We haven't run out of all colors yet, so some haven't been tried. However, if the printer doesn't recognize the tank it won't run -so more replacements were needed. It was past 30 days when this came to light so not much to be done about it. Some products it's easy to open them to determine fit and usefulness upon arrival. Others like this are kept on hand until needed, and opening them early isn't advisable.

This is a standard Dell ink cartridge that I have been replacing way too often. I don't use the printer all that much and discovered that the cartridges DRY OUT and show as empty when they are barely used. Since this is a cartridge made by Dell and not a knock-off I would think they would figure out how to keep their ink wet until completely gone. The printing industry has been doing it for years so it's definitly a product flaw. I have finally remedied this problem by removing the cartridges each time after I print and put them in a sealable plastic bag. This seems to work so far.

very long and get your money's worth because you will be disappointed!!!! I don't print very much but

3pk non-OEM Canon CLI-8 Photo Magenta Compatible Ink Cartridge Review

I cannot rate these inks at all. These inks were sold as CLI-8 Photo Magenta Compatible Ink cartridges with chips for the Canon Pro 9000 printers. They were sold in batches of 3 cartridges with the additional warranty "We promise nothing but the best quality product" Otherwise "we won't sell it, period!"

The price worked out at half the price of Canon's own product which I usually ordered from Amazon. Because Toner Pals were so confident about the quality of the compatible ink it was producing I made the mistake of ordering a double order that is 6 cartridges.

When it finally arrived it proved to be worthless rubbish. All the other seven ink cartridges in the printer were Canon produced, but with the Photo Magenta from TonerPals installed the new ink clearly sent all the other colours off and a print was produced (on usual Canon Paper) which had overall an eerie light green tone. which bore no relationship to the colours in the image being printed. In case the one cartridge was at fault I replaced it with another of the six cartridges purchased, with exactly the same result.

Fortunately the printer and the nozzles were not damaged since when I bought in a new supply of Photo Magenta CLI-8 for my Pixma Printer it operated perfectly from the first print.

When I complained to TonerPals all I got was "we would like to extend to you our most sincere apologies for unsatisfactory performance of the cartridges you received" and "It's never our intention to inconvenience our best customers." There it rests. I have wasted my money and lost printing time awaiting the new supply of ink.

i have the apologies from "TonerPals Amazon" as they describe themselves, but I have reason to believe they knew these inks were useless and not as warranted when they were supplied.

Anyone who deals with them after this warning does so at their own risk.

I use this ink all the time. I do mostly digital scrap-booking and print my own photos. I bought a PIXMA Pro9000 Mark II Inkjet Printer last summer and you learn really fast that you go through the CLI-8 Photo Megenta & CLI-8 Cyan Photo faster than any other ink. So I suggest you stock up on these if you do a lot of printing.

These cartridges are awful. I have purchased numerous other non-oem cartridges for my Epson Workforce 610 printer, and beyond a few extra head cleanings, have had no significant issues. I have also never had my printer software recognize that my cartridges were not Epson. These cartridges not only alert the printer, requiring constant "approval" to be used, but they require so much head cleaning that by the time you get one newly replaced cartridge to perform, you've drained at least one other cartridge with the repeated cleanings. Replacing the second cartridge requires that many more cleanings, and on and on...

I contacted the seller, asking for my money back. First, I got the runaround, addressing only the software issue. When I responded and explained that the cartridges did not function at all, the seller did not respond.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THESE CARTRIDGES.

**UPDATE** Shockingly, within minutes of posting this review, I received an email from the seller, offering a refund if I would remove my negative feedback. It appears that they are only willing to make good on their product if I'm willing to help them bilk other customers.

This is the 2nd time I've ordered this ink. It is priced well and works pretty well. It seems that the ink tends to dry out quite a bit because I have to "clean" the cartridges on the Epson maintenance tab often or it prints splotchy. The dry climate I live in could contribute to that, however. The cartridges are also a bit hard to remove but I figured out you have to really a-q-u-e-e-z-e the tab way down low. If you do that it comes out fine. I'd order it again even with the few problems because I simply refuse to pay the outrageous price of Epson ink.

I read a lot of the reviews on this before purchasing and a lot of people had problems. I felt I was taking a gamble but at this price, even if 50% of the cartridges did not work and even if I could not get a refund, I figured I'd come out ahead when looking at OEM and competition remanufactured prices. I am happy to say that I have so far installed and am using 3 cartridges in my Epson Stylus NX415 printer and each one installed easily, was recognized instantly by the printer and is working flawlessly. The only (minor) downside is the reds are not quite as bright as the OEM ink, but at this price and for the purposes I use the printer, that is not a concern, and it is only really noticeable if I compare the output side by side. If the remaining cartridges, or even 50% of them, work as well, then I will be more than happy. Just the savings on the 3 so far has covered the entire cost for all 20 cartridges, so it's really a win win deal for me. Definitely recommended and I will buy again from the same manufacturer.

The cartridges are not compatible with Epson printers when they are not purchased in North America because there is an internal Zone Code that prevents their use . The supplier should post a warning in the description of his product advising that, unless the printer is properly Zone Coded for North America, the product will not work and then avoid any misunderstanding. Have researched about this problem in several forums and apparently there is a way with the proper software, to reset the Internal Zone Code of the printer and use the cartridges. However,I have not been able to solve the problem so far.

The product is not to par.

a) I had to change the toners 2ce before one of them would even work.

b) The moment I replace one (black) and I had to clean the printer (as directed), the ink is completely finished and I have to replace the other ink (yellow) and then the (cyan) and the (magenta). It made me replace ALL (4) inks before each one of them would work.

c) By the time I could even use one of the toners, I have had to replace (6) cartridges.

I am still waiting on the company to get back to me on what to do with these cartridges.
