This cartridge is supposed to be the same as LC51BK but it will not work in my Brother printer/fax. It does not recognize the cartridge. When I compare the "real" cartridge to this one I notice a difference: there is a little plastic pin that sticks out of the top of the "real" cartridge and is making contact with something inside the printer. The "comparable" cartridge looks exactly the same and fits in the slot perfectly, but does not have this little plastic piece so my printer is acting like the cartridge is not installed at all. BE CAREFUL and check your old cartridge before purchasing this one. It is a great deal but may not work for you!

I have been using this ink now since 2010 in my Canon Mp990 printer and have had zero problems so I am not sure about the leaking ink report but then nothing is perfect. It saves us a lot of money with 4 family members using 2 of these printers for work and school and, as I have said, we have had no problems whatsoever with the ink or the supplier. They ship fast with reasonable shipping, too.

Excellent product and quality. Initially, I must admit I was skeptical, specially around the quality and the unbeatable price. Well, if you own an HP CM1312nfi MFP LaserJet Printer, you are well aware that toner cartridges can be quite expensive, and the refurb cartridge market is typically worthless with used cartridges producing spots and bleeds on print outs. I have installed the yellow, blue and magenta cartridges in HP CM1312nfi MFP. During initializing and calibration printer made rubbing / rumbling sounds. During printing printer make rubbing sound. There is now a red and blue intermittent smudge across entire printed page whether it is printing in color or just black. Upon examination you can see light blue roller of cartridges has grooves on magenta and blue cartridges. I strongly recommend to not buy these cartridges. I am returning and replacing with genuine HP cartridges even if they are almost 4 times the price.

I have had my Epson 2400 printer for 4 years now. Still going strong, produces great pictures. Epson ink is very good. But just like any other inkjet printer. They are making quit a bit of money on the ink. A whole inkset for this printer is $100 at a discounted price. And in the years since it has been out and replaced by a newer updated unit. I have always had great luck with Epson printers and ink. I have used them exclusively for my photography. Maybe I never appreciated them enough in the past. I recently bought another brand printer for my church. The ink cartridges on the competitor's printer are a real mess to change and leak everywhere. This has never been the case with my Epson printers. I guess I will appreciate Epson more in the future.

There are two places I can find ink for my R2400 other than amazon. Adorama (which sells them in amazon) and Atlex.

Both are almost the same as far as pricing except Adorama's shipping is free. Atlex is close to my studio so I can drive there if I want to pick up some ink or paper the same day if it is required.

On a side note I hate that companies try to force you to upgrade and create landfills of these machines that work well. I had to run a special program to stop the printer from auto-stopping which Epson does to make sure the quality of it's prints doesn't diminish which is another way of saying that you need to throw away the machine and buy another. Planned Obsolescence in other words. I hope to continue using this printer for several more years. The price of ink has gone up every year and it used to cost $9 and now it's up to $13 per cartridge.

Presently it is wise to contact the seller to be sure WHICH 564XL Black (not photo black) cartridge that he actually sells. The Amazon web pages for this product may show the wrong HP part number. I received the present replacement part in May 2011, a few months ago I got the earlier part.

This particular web page shows a picture of a two-pack and what is more likely the old 564XL Black ink cartridge because the package seems to show "3X the pages". However the text indicates the new replacement cartidge with less ink. Read on.

The previous 564XL Black ink cartridge was thicker and as indicated on the package offered up to 3X the printing (? 800 pages) of the regular 564 Black ink cartridge. Its HP number was/is CB321WN#140 (option 140 on package). Cost about $30 singly.

The replacement 564XL Black ink cartridge is now (one-half) about the thickness of the 564 color ink cartridges and indicates 2X the printing (550 pages) as the regular 564 Black ink cartridge. Its HP number is CN684WN#140 (option 140 on package). Cost about $22 here and on the HP web site.

HP no longer indicates the actual amount of ink in the cartridges it sells nor apparently do the phone support people know. The HP part number is on the bottom of the package.

Ignoring any cost change contribution of cartridge parts such as plastic, electrical and packaging, you pay about 10 per cent more for the ink in the new replacement 564XL ink cartridge. Shipping cost differences affect the final cost and should be noted.

It is not uncommon for a business to increase the cost of a product in this way and remember that the cost increase may be simply because of the increased cost of production and materials.

I would have preferred HP to keep the larger cartridge and increase its cost maybe future HP printers won't even allow larger cartridges, just one size, filled to different ink levels as already is done. If you dislike HP's action then write a letter to HP corporate don't bother with the usual HP support it's not a technical problem, it's a marketing-business decision.

The ink shown in the picture was not was I received. It arrived in a generic plastic covering. My printer continues to show "not sufficent ink" generic ink. I still have one left (2-pack). I am not satisfied. False advertisement.

A genuine HP two-pack of 564xl black ink was purchased in February 2012 in preparation for a large printing project in April 2012. The printing project was farmed out and we didn't install the new black ink cartridge until May 31, 2012. The new HP printer indicated we were out of black ink on June 4th! I was stunned to think that we had only 3 days use out of this cartridge and very little printing done at all! I've never had a problem with genuine HP products so didn't keep the original package or packing slip. It will be interesting to see how long the second cartridge lasts.

Unfortunately, people must beware of genuine HP ink cartridges, as these are probably less than full of the very expensive ink they're expecting to get! Either fill your own, buy another printer each time you need ink, or plan to go broke replacing it. What a scam.

After receiving the items I proceeded to open one and while removing the packaging the ink started to drip all over the place, on my desk clothes and carpet. So far no issues with the use of the ink but take care in opening the cartridge, once the tape is removed it could spill all over the place.

I am disgusted by the ridiculous cost of brand name Canon ink. It's about 16 bucks per cartridge at Staples and Amazon and only about a buck cheaper buying a 2 pack. These inks work perfectly fine for my needs. I print out a lot of text, mostly journal articles and such. I haven't had an issue yet with these replacements. They only last about 1/2 as long as the name brand, but only cost 1/4th the price when you purchase the 3 pack for 12 bucks and change. Some reviewers complain of ink leaking out when installing these. I solved that issue by keeping the cartridge upside-down when opening (ink pad up) and letting it sit like that for a few seconds before installing. The ink gets sucked right back into the cartridge. I used to dab the little ink pad with a paper towel to remove the excess, but found that it's not really necessary. These are recognized by my MX882 printer and are worth every penny, especially if you buy thru Amazon and get the free shipping. I'll never use name brand again!

The ink works very well. I wouldn't use it for professional printing, but it works very well for school work, reports, rough drafts, etc. Occasionally I will get a spurt of ink when removing the bottom cap. I have alleviated this issue by removing the vent seal FIRST, allowing the cartridge to rest for a minute or two, and THEN removing the orange cap from the bottom.

Money well spent and will soon be buying more.

I've tried to get the best price, quality, and best use out of the 94 & 95 cartridges. Of course, all Amazon sellers offer a better price than the box stores but of the several online sellers Sophia Global seems to beat them all on--price, quality, longevity, and compatibility.

Quality: Every once in awhile I'll receive a 94 (black) cartridge that prints out a dark grey/or fuzzy print in the combo pack. But for the price, I just set it aside for my less quality printing jobs.

Longevity: As far as the number of prints per cartridge, of course the box store cartridges print far longer, but Sophia Global's refurbished ink FAR outlasts the other inexpensive ink companies I've tried.

Compatibility: It was weird and frustrating when my HP Officejet 6210 All-in-One often rejected the box store, store brands (which I had to return many and was forced to to purchase the more expensive HP brand). Knock on wood, out of the 20-30 inks I've purchased through Sophia Global, I have not had one be rejected by my printer.

While "the jury is still out" on this product, I am faced with one misgiving: the cartridges "work" and are accepted by the printer (in my case, a Canon iP4820), but, there seems to be a problem. The graphic display showing the status of each cartridge continues to show these cartridges as "full" -continually. So far, I have used only the two black cartridges (226BK and 225 PGBK). My concern is that there will be no warning as the cartridges are emptied. This causes me to purchase another set of cartridges far in advance of need (I hope). I guess time will tell.

I purchased this item from one of the venders who specified it as new. Two of the three cartridges were remanufactured HP cartridges. The ink almost seems too thin. I get decent results on matte paper, but on glossy paper, it almost looks like the ink would run off if I tilted the photo. it does a nice job on throw away stuff, flyers, signs, etc. on plain paper, but that's not what I bought my printer for. I have a twenty year old HP I use for things like that. An extremely honest Walgreens employee once told me the refilled ones are ok for everyday use, but for photos, buy the real thing. Good advice!
