This cartridge is supposed to be the same as LC51BK but it will not work in my Brother printer/fax. It does not recognize the cartridge. When I compare the "real" cartridge to this one I notice a difference: there is a little plastic pin that sticks out of the top of the "real" cartridge and is making contact with something inside the printer. The "comparable" cartridge looks exactly the same and fits in the slot perfectly, but does not have this little plastic piece so my printer is acting like the cartridge is not installed at all. BE CAREFUL and check your old cartridge before purchasing this one. It is a great deal but may not work for you!

The cartridges do not fit in snuggly and seem to not be all the way full. I changed out all my cartridegs on the same day and there is still plenty in the yellow and black but the cyan is empty and the magenta is about 1/3. I do not print very many color

the color ink was fine the first black worked perfect and then we go to use the 2nd and third black and as soon as we install them both empty according to the ink lvls but i am not happy at all with this product i would like my black ink replaced but if not i will never order from Blake again

Well, what can I say. Shipping is prompt, packaging is more than adequate and we've had a follow-up canned e-mail from the vendor or Amazon soliciting this feedback.

Installation was interesting. So, last week when the cartridge cover was removed from the Black unit, ink splurted out. Ink of sufficient quantity, to ruin a pair of Levis and create a bloody mess on the desk and both hands...said ink doesn't remove from skin with water, acetone, alcohol or Goof-Off. Only the time tested "wear-off" policy has worked; I suggest the use of latex of nitril gloves over a bucket, sink, basin, or trash collector. Have a bottle of Soft-Scrub handy if you use a sink or non-disposable working area.

Having that experience, I took over from my 16 year old tech savvy son and removed the covers on the color catridges with extreme caution. Ultimately I experienced less trouble. Daubed the ?nozzles? on a paper towel to capture the excess ink. The Black cartridge fits well, but the Colours seem to be a smidge big and are insecure...the basic dimensions fit the head, but the latch end pops-up, without the crisp tight "click" one finds with factory cartridges.

The ink itself seems to be of good quality. Despite four head cleaning cycles the ink delivery is intermittent from all cartridges, head remains intermittently clogged. At this point my printer is still useless. I'm not sure whether to blame the ink or the printer at this point...I remain fully disgusted with my Lexmark ALL-Show-and-No-Go printer. All in one convenience my fanny. Over three years we've printed less than 75 pages with four sets of cartridges. Cheaper to go to Kinko for prints at that rate.

The Blake company, the product and Amazon seem okay...I just don't know how this is going to end. I'll post an update when we get it sorted.

The Black ink is good.

The Colour cartridge fitment is questionable.

The Lexmark is s#!te.

Every time I turn the printer off and on I get a message that "non HP cartridges are installed" and that it won't tell me how much ink is still left. Annoying and power trip. That's why I got the bottles of ink for refilling. I can refill the HP cartridges and not get those messages.

Love that I found these for so much cheaper than buying from HP. I read in other reviews that you have to keep them standing before putting them in so I did so, so there was no leaking at all that other reviews spoke of. At first, the printer read that there was a problem with the ink and I couldn't print or anything because of that. I simply took out ink until printer told me to reinstall ink. After I put them back in it worked fine. Printed beautifully. Never buying full priced ink again!

The ink immediately dripped out of the cartridge when I removed the covering over it. It was a mess. Some ink still left in so I was able to use it a little while. Have not opened the second one but will be more careful with it.

I received the toner, and used it for a few days and then my printer stated that the black cartridge was at the end of it's life. this was a high-yield black toner cartridge. I've emailed the seller for a replacement cartridge, we shall see what happens.

Brother seems to be the most fragile vendor as far as generic replacement cartridges go. Although the OEM cartridges are expensive, don't waste your time and money with off-brand replacements, even though it seems like you're saving money. They either leak or do not work at all.

Not only do these inks last forever, but they fit my canon ip3000 printer perfectly.

I am most impressed that even when I'm not using these cartridges and they're at the bottom of my computer desk, they have NEVER dried out. Also I go through ONE of these like...every 3 years. Well partially because I rarely print anything BUT even with my sparing printing needs the ink still takes a long time to dry out.

This is aftermarket ink and cartridges. They work just fine. Be sure to get all the covers off and be careful not to spill as it can leak out if improperly handled. The cost savings is so great that it is well worth the extra careful handling to prepare and install.
