Review of Printronic Remanufactured Ink Cartridge Replacement for HP 93 HP 99
What can I say? The ink arrived packaged well just like a new cartridge fit perfectly and worked as it should. A much less expensive alternative than buying ink from HP. The seller also included a self-addressed stamped envelope to mail your used cartridges back to them to recycle and send to the next person, which I thought was a nice touch.

3 Pack Compatible Canon PGI 5 , PGI-5 , PGI5 3 Big Black for use Reviews
First time purchasing replacement ink cartridges that are not Canon. Was hesitant about ordering these with the varying Amazon reviews from purchasers regarding non-OEM cartridge issues. Found these to be very comparable to Canon's cartridges in quality and print. Recommend them.
However, Pixma is not compatible with Pixus printer. If you plan to buy this ink, please be careful.

I ordered these cartridges for my Canon MX850. Amazon shipped them in a day, but when I received them, even though they were double boxed, and there was no apparent damage to the packaging, all three had broken retaining clips. For two of them, the broken clips were loose in the sealed plastic bag. In the third, there was no clip in the bag at all, which means the clip was missing before it was sealed. Obviously, with broken or missing clips, the cartridges cannot be installed into the printer. In examining the clips, the attachment point seems to be made of very, very thin plastic that does not seem substantial enough to support the operation of the clips which explains why they broke off in all three cases. The cartridges were shipped loose in a box that gave them room to move around freely it's possible that they were handled roughly enough in shipping to impact the sides of the box and break the clips but that does not explain why one of them had no clip in its individual sealed bag at all. I ordered this ink for my PIXMA MX870 printer. I double checked the product listing to make sure it would be compatible. I was shipped three cartridges that were definitely NOT compatible. After opening the package and trying to insert a cartridge I realized they were about a half an inch larger than my regular cartridges. I was sent C-PG15BK cartridges not PGI-220 cartridges. Best HP 38 Light Cyan Ink Cartridge in Retail Packaging Deals
As inks go, this appears to be very good stuff. In fact, they say it's guaranteed to last 200+ years, although I'm not sure who around me will go ask for a free cartridge if my documents or photos only last 150 years. More to the point, it DOES look great.
On the other hand, these cartridges are around 30 bucks a piece and I need 8, so it rather irks me that the cartridges are so small. Perhaps that's a comment more appropriate for a review of the printer design, but it's worth noting here.
Also worth noting is that you SHOULD NOT immediately replace the ink cartridge in your HP B9180 when you get a message from it saying that this or that cartridge is about to run out. I say this because, when mine said that, I checked the little meter that tells you how much is left and it said 40% of the cartridge still had ink in it. 40%! To me, 40% is not "about to run out," but I did go ahead and buy an ink cartridge -I just held onto it until it really became obvious that it was no longer printing that color. Only then did I replace the cartridge, because doing otherwise is needlessly wasting money.
I'm not quite cynical enough to say that HP WANTS you to replace (and recycle) the ink cartridges prematurely, but it obviously would make them more money if you do. Just keep your eyes open and you'll be fine.
Now for the reason for my low rating: When I first bought these cartridges I was paying about $25 or less for each expensive but tolerable. Now the price has risen to between $36 and $41 per cartridge. In 5-years? That's way beyond inflation. It's price gouging. You can't simply re-ink these cartridges since the printer/monitor must be calibrated and would yield strange results if you did not to mention print degradation with refilled ink. I've also found no after-market re-inked cartridges anyway even if I was interested in them. You are forced to buy genuine HP cartridges for it and HP controls the price, period.
I believe each of the eight cartridges holds 27-ML of ink almost a secret held by HP since the cartridge capacity is not written down anywhere on the packaging nor is it available on HP's site. A quick calculation gives approximately $1.40 per ML of ink. Compare that to the new Canon Pixma Pro-1 printer (soon to be released) that has 36 ML cartridges at $36 each (MSRP which means you can get it even cheaper) and it works out to about a buck or less per milliliter. So HP Vivera ink costs at least 40% more than equivalent Canon ink. Just guess what my next printer will be.
My only negative comment is that the ink does not last anywhere near what HP claims. Typically I can get about 30-35 5x7s before needing to replace an ink cartridge. Since there's 8 cartriges I figure each 5x7 costs around $5 or more. I can no longer afford this so I will either stop printing, buy another printer, or get 3rd party ink even if it means some quality issues.

When you receive this HP cartidge, you will find it very easy to install on a B9180 printer. They just snap right in. I never have any problems with clogs or color. Matte Black does have a slightly different texture than other inks, so you can see where the matte black lies on photos.My only negative comment is that the ink does not last anywhere near what HP claims. As of this writing, the Matte Black and Yellow cartridges sold on Amazon are fulfilled by Wild Dog Knives. These two cartridges were 3-4 years past their expiration date. My B9180 printer will let me override the expiration warning, but HP says expired ink can damage the printheads. Although there is a place on Amazon's Web site that shows that the cartridges sold by WDK are expired, the main page for this product does not. So, I ordered the two cartridges without ever seeing ahead of time that they were expired. I have been pleased with my HP printer and the inks as far as picture quality goes, however I give this product a 3-star rating because it seems that the ink empties too quickly on the HP 38 cartridges. I've spent a lot of money on ink and seem to have too few photos to show for it. However, I don't know if Epson or Canon are any better at ink usage and cost.Monday, November 17, 2014

"Three inks (blue, yellow, and magenta) clogged up Canon printer MP990. I had to request from Canon a new print-head because I could not clean or unclog the print-head. Do not purchase this merchandise from Amazon, very poor quality and does not fit my Dell A940 printer. Discount Color Ink Refill kit for HP 93, 95, and 97 cartridges.
The refill port or hole is really easy to find once you peel off the manufacturers label. I used the black refill and it worked fine or as the packaged stated. The problem I had was the cartridge dried out and the refill ink wouldn't loosen up the dried ink. I tried filling a wet cartridge but the printer said that it didn't recognize that cartridge as valid. I think there is a chip on the cartridge or something that tells the printer that it is empty. I don't now how to reset that chip but I can probably buy one of those cheap less than a couple bucks cartridges and fill that instead.

I purchased this cartridge instead of the regular 40cl I buy. I did not realize that my printer was compatible with two other types. The ink in this cartridge didn't even last a month. I rarely use my printer to print anything and before I knew it it was empty. When using the 40cl cartridge it lasts for several months. What's the story here? This is an excellent and affordable product.The amount of ink is the same as in a normal cartridge but the printing quality is not as sharp and some of the letters may appear slightly smeared. Cheap HP- No.94 & No. 97 Black and Tri-Color Remanufactured Combo Pack Ink
Found this great deal on a combo pack of ink and paid about 75% less than getting them from a retail store. So far they are working great and cannot notice any difference over HP branded ink.
They did a quicker response and gave me a refund as Amazon coupon.
Hey, it's way cheaper than what you pay for one HP original cartridge and their support is good.

I am disgusted by the ridiculous cost of brand name Canon ink. It's about 16 bucks per cartridge at Staples and Amazon and only about a buck cheaper buying a 2 pack. These inks work perfectly fine for my needs. I print out a lot of text, mostly journal articles and such. I haven't had an issue yet with these replacements. They only last about 1/2 as long as the name brand, but only cost 1/4th the price when you purchase the 3 pack for 12 bucks and change. Some reviewers complain of ink leaking out when installing these. I solved that issue by keeping the cartridge upside-down when opening (ink pad up) and letting it sit like that for a few seconds before installing. The ink gets sucked right back into the cartridge. I used to dab the little ink pad with a paper towel to remove the excess, but found that it's not really necessary. These are recognized by my MX882 printer and are worth every penny, especially if you buy thru Amazon and get the free shipping. The ink works very well. I wouldn't use it for professional printing, but it works very well for school work, reports, rough drafts, etc. Occasionally I will get a spurt of ink when removing the bottom cap. I have alleviated this issue by removing the vent seal FIRST, allowing the cartridge to rest for a minute or two, and THEN removing the orange cap from the bottom.Money well spent and will soon be buying more.

Ink cartridges are way too expensive; I was thinking of buying a whole new printer when I saw these Nu-Kotes. I have used both the black and the color cartridges; they look pretty much like the Epson cartridges, fit perfectly. The seller fills the order quickly. But after about a couple days' use, there is a funny smell from the printer. It's not bad, and didn't keep me from buying more -but also, particularly with the color cartridge, there are gaps and lines when printing; need to keep cleaning the heads to get a good print.
