Epson continuously gets one-star reviews for a reason. They've built their business model on deception. These cartridges may print twenty five pages, they may print fifty. It's hard to tell. One thing is for sure though: you will not be able to use all the ink in these cartridges due to the way they are designed.

As is widely known, these cartridges have a chip, which supposedly detects how full they are so that the software can notify you to buy new cartridges. So what's wrong with that, you wonder? Well here's the catch. In fact, there are two catches. First, when one cartridge runs out, even if it's only the yellow one, the printer will not print anything--even black and white--until the supposedly empty cartridge is replaced with a new one.

I say "supposedly empty" because of the second catch: the cartridges detected as empty, in fact, still have ink in them! Sometimes plenty of ink. After buying a new set of cartridges when the old set was "supposedly empty", I did a side by side comparison. When I shook the blue, red, and yellow ink of my last set of "empty" cartridges (the black the only empty one), they felt and sounded as full as those of the new, full set! Yet they could not be used again because when I tried to reinstall them the printer continued to read them as "empty" even when used in conjunction with the new black cartridge. If this is not a business scheme built on deception (or incompetence), I don't know what is.

Two years and seven or eight sets of ink cartridges later, I have finally resolved to join the thousands of former Epson customers who have chosen to boycott Epson products, and unless you like how it feels to be hornswaggled and bereft of good, hard-earned cash, I suggest you do the same.

The seller was upfront about the ink being past the expiration date at which it should be sold. For the price, it seemed worth trying ... after all, it's ink, not an antibiotic. The ink came packaged in its original heavy plastic shrink wrap and inside the original box. I've been using it, and it works just fine and the colors are just fine. This is my second set of ink I've purchased from this seller and if it's available, I'll order again.

The picture for this item shows four seperate retail boxes, one for each ink color. What I received was a single Epson retail package with all four ink cartridges. This in itself is not big deal, as it was original Epson retail packaging that I have bought before. However, upon opening the package I found only one of the four cartridges was enclosed in the cellophane pouch that Epson ships them in, the other three were not. Also strange was instead of the normal interior of the packaging, the four cartirdges were loose and a wadded up piece of newspaper was inserted to keep the cartridges from rattling around too much in the unopened package. After viewing the packaging I was concerned about what I actually received. I did choose to install the ink cartridges in my printer in spite of my initial misgivings, and I have not noticed anything unusual in their performance.

If I could give this product 0 stars I would. I have ordered Genuine Epson ink cartridges before and never have I experienced what is going on with my printer after installing this product. The black ink is so faint and is indicating 1/2 empty after much fewer copies than I've been able to get before. The price was less than usual, and now I see why. I do not believe these are Genuine Epson cartridges. Very poor quality and very little life use.

purchased this product and installed it in my printer and i go to use it to do an alignment page and already it says my color ink is low and needs to be replaced, do not buy because color catridge is obviously not filled

I was sort of leery about purchasing this to begin with, as some people have had problems with the cartridges not working correctly. When we got them, they weren't being read right by the printer but after taking them out and putting them back in, we've had no problems.

Contrary to the product description, these cartridges are incompatible with an Epson Artisan 837. Printer did not recognize the replacements.

UPDATE: after less than a week, the black color on my printer was fading and stopped printing or copying all together yesterday. It ruined my Epson Artisan 835. It is junk and I revise my stars to zero. Perhaps I rushed to give the first review prematurely!

Buy 6 Pre-Filled PrintPayLess brand Refillable Ink Cartridges for Canon

The order was delivered very quickly. It come with the cartridges already filled and with free syringes for refilling.

Pros

1. Good quality ink. Colors are close to matching the OEM ink. I have only noticed just a very slightly tendency toward blue (cooler colors). That does not bother me.

2. Huge savings in money compared to OEM cartridges. You can refill many times.

3. No need to reset the ink level.

4. Procedure to refill the cartridges is easy.

5. Clear cartridges for monitoring ink level.

cons

1. No ink level detection. You will have to check the levels of ink manually by removing the cartridges.

2. Cartridges will leak ink no matter if you follow the instruction or how hard you try. If you remove the cartridge before it's empty you will probably drip ink also. I recommend you have a something to wipe out the ink dripping from the cartridge. Even after wipping the excess ink as stated in the intructions some ink dripped inside my printer smearing my first three photo prints.

3. No pigment black for printing text. My kit came with two bottles of black dye ink instead (one for photos and one for text). Printing text is not as good as with OEM (pigment) ink and text will have a faded look. Increasing the printer's print quality help improve text quality some.

Overall I am happy with this product. If they can fix the ink leakage and ship pigment black for text printing I will give the product a 5 star.

Excellent customer service. One of the ink from original package was leaking. The replacement sent promtly and even sent an extra tool that was not in the original package. By the way, the ink cartridges work perfectly with my Canon MP 990.

The Toner cartridge solved a grinding noise problem that I was experiencing on my brother color laser printer. The other cyan cartridge was 4 years old and was stiff on turning the drum on it. The new one turns more freely. Only thing about it though is that when I tipped it to the right, toner spilled out. But, it didn't seem to cause a problem with the print quality.

I have an Epson Artisan, when time to get new ink cartridges arrived, I got realized that the cost per the whole set of cartridges (6) was going to cost 120 USD... WHAT???? So I search the internet for a less expensive replacement. Then I decided for this piano book design, which resulted to be 50% cheaper than new epson cartridges. I'm no photo expert, but the performance of the sistem seems to be the same that the OEM cartridges, they last 8 times more than the OEM cartridges and refill the system worths only 30 USD!!!

Instalations require only a little tool skill and the YOUTUBE videos about the instalation are simple and easy to follow.

Haven't yet refilled the system, but I'm sure that's going to be easy as well.

I bought this for an Epson Artisan 50. It took about 15-30 minutes to install. After the first install I could probably do it in 5 minutes now.

But I had to go to their website and find out how to reset the ink level chip.

I had to remove each cartridge and clean the contacts and then re-install each one. I had to do all of this with the printer turned on. That worked but I spent 2-3 hours going to their website and getting it to work. Now that I know the routine I probably could do this in 15 minutes. I did not really get a real clear click sound when I installed the cartridges but all but one worked. I then pushed on it again and it was recognized by the printer. This product may deserve a 5 star but only time will tell.

This product would be fine but the ink reset button doesn't do anything. It certainly doesn't reset the ink levels. Cannot find anything on how to force ink reset for Artisan 800 CISS.

I bought 3 of these and the first one worked fine for about 6 months. I really only use my printer during tax season, and so 1 year later I had to replace the ink. I tried both of the other 2 cartridges and both were bad and streaky. I used the OEM 1/2 full cartridge that came with the printer for almost 3 years. I am very hesitant about buying remanufactured again.

Ink cartridges are way too expensive; I was thinking of buying a whole new printer when I saw these Nu-Kotes. I have used both the black and the color cartridges; they look pretty much like the Epson cartridges, fit perfectly. The seller fills the order quickly. But after about a couple days' use, there is a funny smell from the printer. It's not bad, and didn't keep me from buying more -but also, particularly with the color cartridge, there are gaps and lines when printing; need to keep cleaning the heads to get a good print. Still, it's worth it for th overall savings.

Consumer Reports rates PrintPal the highest of non-Epson cartridges, so that may be a better bet, but it isn't available through Amazon, unfortunately.

some of the cartridges worked and some seemed empty. I did not get my money's worth from any of the cartridges. and wiot order ink on line anymore. I learned my lesson that it is better to go to an office supply store when purchasing ink for a printer. I really don't like to leave negative feedback, but I was not excited about the cartridges' performance. If they did work, they seemed to go empty quickly

I don't do high quality Photo printing so I can't state the this ink is great for pictures but for all of my Black printing and the color for a larger powerpoint presentation it has worked great. I can't tell any difference from the Factory Ink and this is less than half price.

Only the magenta cartridge was empty and that's the only one I changed so far. I printed several documents. It seems to work fine.

I was excited to get these in my printer, and the black was the first I was to replace, It states to pull the yellow tag off, but when I did, the ink came drooling out and I had to grab a towel and keep it from going on my carpet. I think the yellow tag should not be removed. I tried the other black cartridge with the same results. I am sending the product back to Amazon for a refund. I gave it a 3 star because they at least had great customer service even though I got a bunk product. They were willing to do what ever it takes to make the customer happy which means a lot these days. I bought an OEM cartridge and have it installed because I needed my printer for college right away. I don't understand how no one else is having this problem though. Maybe just a bad batch!

The color cartridges that came in this set worked fine in my Canon Pixma ip100 printer, but the blacks wouldn't work at all. I've had this experience using other generic brands for this little printer, which is such a bummer because it's so much cheaper. I'd say go ahead and try it if you have some of the good Canon cartridges to mix in with the ones that don't work, but really, it's not worth it. I lost one ip100 already by using the cheaper inks, I tried it again with this brand (different than the generic brand I was trying to use originally that killed the first printer), and it's not printing. I ordered the actual Canon ink today because I really need my printer to print correctly and to not break again because of the generic inks. Bummer :-(
