The OT Ink is definitely lower quality then Brother Ink. Colors are muted and the yellow prints blue.

I tried various yellow cartridges and cleaned my printer many times.

Finally I bought yellow Brother Ink and it worked fine.

Unfortunately name brand ink is a lot more money but quality definitely suffers with this

"compatible" brand.

You cannot beat this for the price. Much less expensive than through Dell or office supply stores and they work well. One small problem though, be careful in the installation, when I removed the safety tab the ink dripped on the carpet. Luckily, I had a good cleaning product.

First of all, I have a Dell V313w

I ordered 3 of these at the same time and they arrived quickly and in proper packaging. Let's not forget how insanely cheap these are compared to buying name brand ink in a store.

I don't want to say much more than I popped my old Dell cartridge out, popped this one in, and it started working instantly. Five stars for working without a fuss. I can't speak for how long these cartridges will last, since I just put one in yesterday (October 3rd, 2012). But if anything goes wrong, I will return and update this review.

So if this is the last thing you see written, assume everything works great!

October 10th, 2012 edit:

This is week two that I have had one of these cartridges in my printer. The printer still recognizes the cartridges, but no ink comes out any more. I printed a few pages, and each one the ink was lighter and lighter until now, my printer just prints out a blank page. I know my printer is just fine because it has no issues printer in color (I still have an OEM color cartridge).

Do not buy these cartridges! It sucks that the branded ones cost so much, but they are the only ones that work.

EDIT NUMBER 2 (PLEASE READ!)

I restored the review to 3 stars. I filed a claim with the seller (DuraEco) through amazon and they responded later THAT SAME DAY and offered me a FULL REFUND. It is still disappointing that the product was defective, but you CANNOT ASK FOR BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE.

This shipped the same day I ordered it (great customer service and shipping/processing time). I was hesitant to order, because judging by the reviews, it didn't work for everyone. But I had nothing to worry about quick and easy install in my Dell printer (opened over a piece of paper just in case there was ink spillage as others suggested, but no problems), printer/computer recognized it instantly. and it's printing, crisp, dark black.

I have been using this product consistently for over a year now. I am tempted to give this system a 4 or 5 star review based solely on its value in comparison to the dramatic markup of individual replacement ink cartridges. The reason I settled on 3 stars is that because this is an after-market modification, one shouldn't expect perfect performance.

I'm not suggesting that it doesn't work well -it does, but it can be a bit finicky. I didn't have any trouble with installation. I also don't have any complaints about the print quality. The only issue I have had is the occasional error message or other indication that one or more cartridge needs replaced. I am certainly no expert on computers or printers, but I think it's a case of an air-bubble getting in the line. Typically, I just manually elevate the large reservoir while printing a full-color test sheet. This seems to clear it up. Bottom line, I strongly recommend a CIS like this one. Just be patient with it.

Not much to say. This is the type of product that either works or doesn't! ANyhow, kudos to Amazon for being cheaper than the factory/dealers and also for having it in stock and ready to go. I live around 200 miles from the actual canon warehouse and they said it would be a couple weeks. I had it overnighted from amazon with my prime membership; for less than from Canon and 2 weeks sooner!!!

It really doesn't matter what I think of this product... its what I have to buy since it's the only cartridge I can use in my printer. I always buy new ones since I've had bad luck with refurbished, but even the new ones don't seem to last very long. I used to have a Hewlett Packard printer... the cartridges cost about the same but lasted ALOT longer. Canon needs to get on the ball here.

A great price for these cartridges. I was able to use them for several weeks, but then the Canon MP160 printer rejected them. The problem is not with the cartridges, which provide high quality print, but with the Canon software, which is designed to reject third party cartridges and force us to use their exorbitantly expensive cartridges. Thumbs up for Printronic and thumbs down for Canon. I will try the work around suggested here to use one Canon cartridge and one third party cartridge at the same time to hopefully avoid the Canon software problems.

I bought two LD Remanufactured Replacement Ink Cartridges, one magenta, the other yellow at a great price on Amazon Prime. I had them both in hand within a couple of days, but didn't use them immediately as my HP Ink Jet was apparently crying wolf about needing ink. It was a lo-o-n-ng time before the Yellow cartridge ran out and I still haven't needed to install the Magenta cartridge it warned me about ssome months ago.

When I inserted the Yellow cartridge it didn't seem to snap easily into position, but worked alright--for some time. Then my printer suddenly announced that it was either no longer there or was defective. I took it out and put it back in. It again worked fine, for awhile, but then again went missing. I reinstalled it several times untilit refused to work at all.

I e-mailed LD and got an e-mail back within half a day, with instructions to try a simple definitive test. I did and e-mailed the results to LD. They instantly made arrangements for an immediate replacement and postpaid return of the defective cartridge. All quick and simple.

The rep at LD gave me great treatment and personalized service.I will happily buy from them through Amazon again. The way I see it, I can hardly afford not to.

These cartridges work just like the expensive HP ones--they're just refilled, relabeled, and resold by LD Products. I can't think of any reason to pay full price again!

If it stops printing any particular color at all, check your printhead. It's probably not the print cartridge's fault. The 940 printheads are horribly designed and take in air instead of ink sometimes. I researched the issue and found a kit elsewhere that reinjects ink into the printhead, for a fraction of the cost of a new printhead. I've had this issue repeatedly with the yellow, but I've had this printer for years before it happened. I'd get a new printhead if it weren't so expensive and didn't come with the same inherent design flaw the old one had.

I am learning; I am learning. I paid $40 for the FAX machine and now I pay $35 for the ink cartridge. What a system. They are smarter than I am. As of today, I'm in and I think I will continue until the machine fails (and/or I need to buy another ink cartridge), but for sure, let new FAX machine buyers, beware. The ink cartridge is indeed a major cost of operation (dare I say, 100%).

I saved the old cartridge and will investigate the systems available to refill it myself. Yeah, that sounds like fun. I wish my wife would do it for me.
