How awful that Target sells a pen and not the refills. I have both a Pilot Lucina and Namiki Falcon fountain pens. I've tried this ink and it looks great. However, relative to Noodler's anti-feather or Noodler's black the Namiki ink tends to feather more, is not as black and tends to bleed through thinner paper. If your looking for the convenience of a cartridge you can't go wrong with this but if your going to be using bottled ink there may be better alternatives.

Purchased this ink for a Pilot Plumix pen and gave the two as a gift. This is a very pretty purple color. I currently don't have a use for this color, but if I did, I would use it. I like it very much.

This ink is waterproof enough for addressing envelopes and shipping labels. However, it is not safe enough for writing checks. It prints through bad paper, so it is not for two-sided writing on bad paper. It is also waterproof enough for writing in pocket calendars and daily planners, as long as the paper quality is good enough. There are blacker black fountain pen inks, but only Noodler's black ink colors are more waterproof than this one. Lamy Blue-Black and the Mont Blanc blue-black in bottles (different formula in Mont Blanc cartridges) are about as waterproof as Namiki/Pilot Black, but Namiki/Pilot Black that dries up in pens can be cleaned completely out whereas the other two are impossible to clean out after they dry up. If you have Namiki/Pilot Black in a bottle, it is also good for cleaning remnants of other colors out of fountain pens.

Nothing special about these ink cartridges, but they work as advertised. Sometimes that's all you want your purchases to do.

The little jewels work great and are priced right , 20 to 40 pages printed per day from my alignment machine for my customers.

When installling , just shut down and restart you printer to accept the cartridge.

All 3 black ink cartridges are faulty. When I put in the 1st one it printed grey, not black, then it stopped working completely after one day, and wasn't recognized by the printer at all. The 2nd black cartridge was also not recognized by my HP 7310 All-In-One. The 3rd black cartridge also printed grey, not black, then it stopped working completely after one day like the 1st one. I don't even want to bother trying the color cartridges. This ink cartridge remanufacturing company wasted my money and my time. I am very upset about this.

The blacks on my prints with these inks are not nearly as dark as the ones I get with original ink. It works, ive already taken in over three cartridges of this ink and my printer is still kicking. This ink gets me prints that are cheaper then going to my pharmacy. These things seem to have the equivalent of 15 cartridges. Im using Refillable cartridges from ebay, but im sure the CIS systems here will also work.

Ordered two of these, they came the next day, Saturday, and fit perfect.

Now I am sick thinking of all the money I wasted buying from Pitney all

these years.

Update with the new year.

Using the second of these inks and still zero problems and everything

works like it should. I am very glad I purchased these and yes,

will purchase again soon.

Here we are again with a new year just around the corner. My Mailstation

says it is low on ink, and yes, it does give me warning, unlike another review

that says there's doesn't, and they are lasting me right at about a year,

not a month like another has said. Have to order and getting these again

cause I have had no problems, and I mean none. Very clear and have not had

to clean the heads or service the machine for two years now.

Quick update: 12/23/12

Received the two I just ordered and the first one I stuck in would not produce

the test pattern. I tried three times and nothing. Stuck in my used one that

was showing low ink and got a pattern, swapped them back and still nothing.

So, opened the second one and it worked perfect. Swapped them back and still

nothing, even though there is wet ink around the discharge hole it does not work.

Put the second new one back in, did a dozen bills, tossed the one that did not

work in the trash, and I am still good with these replacement inks even though

one did not work, for the money saved I am still comming out ahead.

This ink works just as well as the OEM. These machines are a rip off with the monthly rental fee and the cost of the ink if you get it through PB. When I realized how much the monthly rental fee was, I called them up and told them it wasn't worth it. They immediately reduced the rental from $35 to $20. That added to using this generic but perfect ink and I have greatly reduced the cost of mailing.

I am so happy to have found this cartridge, at such a reasonable price! I've been trying to financially MUDDLE through my seemingly lifelong PB contract on this meter machine. Not only is the lease expensive (even though I did get a reduction), the ink, if purchased from Pitney Bowes is OUTRAGEOUS, over SIXTY DOLLARS including over $10 just to SHIP! And it doesn't last long at all.

I received my cartridge SO FAST, tried it out immediately, and I daresay it's BETTER than the one you get from the company. The ink is a nice deep dark full red. I've tried less expensive cartridges in an office supply store, but the ink was pale PINK and not approved by USPS, and even those were very expensive. I'll be back for more, until my contract runs out, thank you so much! If you're in doubt, BUY IT, you will NOT be disappointed!

I was about to bite the bullet and buy another cartridge from PB, and their website kept freezing (lucky me!). All of a sudden I thought, hmmmm...what about Amazon? SO GLAD I DID!

It just makes me SICK to think of all the money I've spent previously on these cartridges. But that's hindsight, I'm so happy now!!! Please keep selling these!! :-)

This is a PB replacement. Their stuff is pretty expensive, and along with shipping, even more so. I had this delivered in 2 days, no shipping (thanks Prime) and it works just fine. I will say it's a bit more bright pink than red, but that doesn't bother me a bit.

I normally don't leave a negative review, but to send me an inkjet cartridge that is beyond it's service date is crappy. The cheap price you find is probably due to the cartridge being out of date. I tried loading this cartridge in and use it, but the printer doesn't function properly with an out of date cartridge.

I don't use my printer that much so I remove the cartridge and put the plastic and rubber seal back in place, because the ink dries up. If I leave it in the printer the ink is gone in about two months; by replacing the seal I get about four months and maybe twenty five or thirty copies. If you use your printer often they may last just as long as any other cartridge, I don't know. For the price they are worth trying. Dave

When you get these cartridges right out of the box they work great, but after you start to print out a lot of pictures you really notice the quality deteriorate. It really seems to run out of one color much quicker than the others. Personally its usually red. It has caught me with my pants down a couple times, going to print out a project the night before its due, only to run out of red or blue ink. I would definetly suggest to always have an extra one around just in case.

Any yellow color prints out as a horrid rose-gold color that is dark.

My bet is that the cartridge is a fake or refill. Or that somehow it is just too old. (?)

Dry when you get it. All this out of date ink dried out when you get it. Spend your money on a laser printer. I wish I would have researched this before I bought a HP printer. Always running out of ink and it's way over priced. Buy a new printer.
