These cartridges have a difference from the Canon OEM cartridges that may be noteworthy. The rear translucent latch that locks the cartridge down into the print head is shorter than the OEM cartridge. The latch does seem to catch but it does not stick up as far out of the head after the cartridge is installed. One result is that the red light that shows cartridge condition/status is not visible out the back of the print head. You can see the red light on the rear of the cartridge only if you look down into the print head behind the cartridge.

The Canon Pixma IP47000 does seem to recognize and utilize the cartridge. Performance over time is yet to be observed.

This was the second time I ordered this ink from the CartridgeWarehouse.

These cartridges fit my Canon MP560 correctly, and the ink seems to be reasonably bright and vivid.

I think, however, there might be a problem with cartridges' computer chips. When my blue and yellow cartridges from the first order ran out of ink completely and stopped printing, the ptinter monitor was showing that they were only nearing the end of life and still had a little ink left in them.

Also, when I opened a magenta cartridge my second order, a few drops of ink came out. I was able to catch it with my hand, but if it fell on the carpet, it would have been a problem. I recommend you remove tape from cartridges over something that can catch potential ink drops (e.g. plastic bag, plate, sink, etc.).

Overall, the cost-benefit of these cartridges is good, so I will, most likely, reorder in the future.

I received these ink cartridges in May. I did not attempt to use them until July since my ink cartridges in my ink jet had not run out. The return period expired in June.

When I opened the packages the ink had spilled out and stained my fingers and everything it came in contact with.

The large Black ink cartridge would not seat correctly in the machine and is useless. Everybody knows if one ink cartridge is not working the entire printer becomes non-functional.

The company would not accept returns for their defective products. They should not be allowed to sell via Amazon.

I just refilled my cartridge for OfficeJet 6500 Wireless printer. That was the easiest ink refill I've done (but for different printers). It's pretty painless and clean. So far the black ink is working pretty well.

NOTE: I seldom use my printer. I'll update this review if I have problems with the black ink.

NOTE: The ink level after refill doesn't get updated, so the ink level detection of the printer becomes useless after you refill. But this is not the problem of the refill technology.

UPDATE: Oct 2011 So I've used this black refill kit till it's almost done. I've refilled about at least 5 times so far. I haven't had a messy one so far, and the black ink is still working OK. I'm planning to buy another one once I'm done with the current one. I highly recommend it.

I have been using these in my HP Officejet 6000 for 18 months. Have used one kit for no less than 10 refills for about $25. If you are using HP original cartridges to refill, keep in mind that they have a memory chip on them that will tell the printer that it is out of ink no matter if you just filled it or not. The printer will still print even though you will get the warning. In order to avoid this in the future, purchase a new set of HP cartridges and disable the memory (see instructions) while they are still full. Then you will be able to avoid the "out of ink" popups on your screen. You will need to monitor the ink by looking at your printouts. I am not using the printer for photos, just school projects and MS Office docs. Quality is fine and I am filling the original cartridges that came with the printer. The best thing to keep your printer working well is to print something at least once a week. Nothing wrong with this ink at all. It can be a bit messy, but just wear some gloves, you'll be a pro after a couple of times.

I didn't have much experience with refilling cartridges and wasn't excited for anything messy. Because I have tanks instead of a whole cartridge with heads and all they are much easier to fill. This refill kit seriously takes less than 5 minutes to use including taking it out of the printer, filling, and putting it back in. The syringe makes it really easy to fill without spilling everywhere. I would highly caution anyone who uses refill kits to make sure you do it in a place that you can easily clean up ink in case you fumble the syringe and find that you have ink all over you new clothes, carpet, child, etc.

I plan on buying and using this refill kit for the life of my printer.

Excellent product for refilling. I recommend it,

Hints from experience :

1. Follow the amount that is require to be injected in the caterg (color 920xl 3ml ONL) and (black 920 6ml) if you exceed no big problem, just the ink will leack from the top drainage.

2. After finishing refilling, flip the caterg so ink open of the caterge will be facing upwaord, for at least 5 mins. This technique will allow air if injected inside cartage to be out from cartage open,

3. To eliminate, air injection inside caterge, during injection make small angle so air will move on top away from injector head.

4. Clean kit (holder with it's rubber immediately after finishing refill) with water and dry it for next time.

5. Clean caterge open with tissue before installing it in the printer.

6. Refill befor caterge get dry.

7. Don't forget wearing plastic gloves like me at first time.

Routine day to day printing on paper is coming out well. However, photo prints on glossy sheets are not good. I get a pink tinge on the photo paper. I don't see any problem with the photo when I view them on my computer or the printer. So I am guessing it is the new ink that is causing this pink tinge.

I know from previous experience that most generic inks will fade faster than original ink, but at these prices I can just re print them again. It worked perfectly, my canon printer treated it as a Canon ink and worked without a glitch (I was worried because I think these cartridges need a chip to be recognized, I called seller and he said they did and they did work)

The description and picture showed an ink roller with red and black ink manufactured by Canon. The item that came (from China) was a roller with black ink only and did not display the word Canon anywhere on the package.

The response from the vendor said I misunderstood the roller is either all black or all red (who would use an all red ink roller) and the roller was for a Canon calculator not made by Canon.

If I could rate them with less than one star I would do it.

After the above review was submitted I got an e-mail from the vendor saying it was their fault and I could get a replacement ink roller or have my money refunded. I chose refund. A few days later my credit card showed a refund of the total price. As a result, I raised my rating from one star to three stars. I did not get what I ordered but it did not cost me any money just time.

I have purchased these tanks before and never had a problem. However, this time when I opened the black ink cartridge it leaked all over my hands. It was a good thing I had a work mat under my desk or it would have ruined my carpet. These work fine, but need to be very careful when installing a new one.

Actually, I wouldn't even give this company one star. They are inexpensive for a reason... they don't completely fill their cartridges, so they won't last long at any price. Also, their compatibility is hit or miss. I've bought about six cartridges from them and more than half don't work. Great product, not a dead-on identical replacement, but it works super once installed right. MAy have been me, but I had to jiggle it, stand on one foot, and spell my name backwards to get it to 'lock in' with my printer -but it easily could have been my printer too; I've noticed it's a little finicky. This product is exactly what it says it is: replacement cartridges for your printer but at a fraction of the cost compared to OEM cartridges. Upon arrival I placed cartridges into my Canon MX870 and immediately began printing. Quality of the print is excellent, and the computer recognizes the cartridges. I would have given this a 5 star rating but for the 5 damaged cartridges that arrived in the mail. The damage was due to rough handling by USPS but the packaging is minimal at best. I contacted the seller and they immediately sent me replacements at no charge and I had them within 2 days. EXCELLENT customer service. This is a no-brainer folks...buy them!

Update (6/20/2012): While these cartridges were not compatible with my printer, working with the company to process the return has been a breeze.

They tend to leak pretty bad at times, but I feel it is worth it to get them considering the savings. Sometimes you just have to weigh out what it's worth to you.

Side noteI once had one that leaked pretty bad. It turned out that I accidentally tore off some of the tape on the opposite side. I applied more scotch tape to the hole and it fixed the problem.

I've never had a problem with the cartridges being non-OEM. And I feel relieved that I have a stache of backup cartridges on hand so I don't have to run out and pay premium prices at the local Staples. I love that I can afford to purchase multiples of all the colors because Ion more than one occasion, 've encountered lack of inventory of the colored inks at Staples (especially gray). Definitely well worth the extra cost. I have used these ink refills for a couple years now & will not buy the regular HP 74 & 75 refills, because those do not last long enough. My guess, after using these for a year now, is that these last about three times as long as the regular 74 & 75 cartridges.

This ink works just fine for us. We don't print anything special or high quality. I do get the error from Dell saying it is out of ink, but I just hit ignore and it prints just fine. Way better than buying over priced ink from dell directly.

Normally the low capicity cartridges for the dell 968 cost $28/piece through Dell--and the printer takes 3 differnet types of cartridges. These refurb cartridges are 1/4 of the cost.

They so far have worked good-not great, due to the fact that you have to continuously click on a box to ignore the fact that the Dell printer thinks the cartridge is empty-the printer has a hard time recognizing this aftermarket cartridge. The one click though is nothing in comparison to the monetary savings--will be purchasing this item again and again from this vendor. I am a believer in Beta Ink!
