I bought this about 6 months ago. The kit does not include chips, so if you wanted to use it, you would have to go out and buy new/used cartridges with the chip still intact and pry them off with a razorblade. This is a very delicate process and really really easy to mess up. Then you have to glue them on there somehow. It was a mess!

I finally got it to work, and had the printer do diagnostic tests and they said 3 of the 4 cartridges were in "fair" condition versus "excellent" like the real ones were. I got it so I could print photos. Unfortunately, there were a lot of color smearing and vertical lines in my prints that I could not use any of the printed photos. I would not recommend this kit to anyone.

to start with this is the second time i am being rip off by them, there CIS does not include the reset chip and they are saying that it does, bad business practice, Amazon please don't do any business with them again, they will give you a bad reputation.

the original kit i purchased is almost depleted of the original ink, it has performed flawless for a lot of prints. with that being said, do not expect the ink to perform the same as the HP ink. the ink is not as vivid, sharp and photos will look okay but not great. the value though is tremendous for general printing with this setup.

My conclusion: if you are looking for a setup like this, buy this one. it definitely works good. if you are not happy with the ink you can experiment with different ink brands and/or types but the system itself is sound and works well.

This is inexpensive and arrived ahead of schedule. The printer reads this as being empty and it is a little annoying but for the price I can get over it.

Ditto the AMAZINGLY FAST shipping! It's like they shipped my order before I sent it!? I did receive by mistake 2 blues and no yellow (had to run out to a store 30+ miles away to get one)! I contacted the company and they shipped not only the correct ink, but an additional set to apologize (and make up for the cost of gas/paying for a more expensive ink cartridge). I'm a customer for life! No problems with splotching, leaking, etc. All of my packages were SEALED in original cardboard and foil packaging. BRAND NEW!! NOT REFILLS.

(PS: to the reviewer "warning" about the "non-XL" colored inksread the TITLE/description. It says HP 940xl black, Regular Capacity cyan, magenta, yellow.)

The ink is great. Shipping was freaky fast. I just was disappointed when I openned the package and found out that I received a HP 940xl black and regular HP 940 cyan, magenta, and yellow. It was my bad for not reading carefully but if it were a little more apparent, I would of just brought all the HP 940xls individually from amazon directly with super saver shipping. It is cheaper by a few dollars and it prints more pages for almost the same price.

Having four separate color cartridges makes sense for maximum ink longevity. I previously had an HP printer that required the all-in-one color cartridge. The downside for the all-in-one color cartridge is that the colors don't get used at a constant rate, so there would still be ink remaining for two of the three colors at time of disposal.

I have just finished the second toner cartridge from this order. I have bought "compatible" toner before with varying quality. This is my 3rd order with APlustoner and the quality is wonderful. I print a newsletter for non profit, so cost is important! I can't afford to buy "genuine" HP toner. However, check out the company's reviews before you buy any compatible toner. My first order from Andrew's Genuine Supplies was 8/16/12 for this product and in January 2013 I put it in my printer and ordered the next one only to find out that the product is defective and not Lexmark. If you look at the gold contact area on the cartridges you can see that it is different from the actual Lexmark cartridge! They are also marked "NOT FOR CUSTOMER USE!" and the number on the actual cartridge is 18L0220 NOT 18L0032 as the foil package says. I can not get a refund on this because the time has past so I have lost $25.07. I can olny get a refund on the one I just ordered in January of this year so I wanted to warn anyone that is looking to buy anything from ANDREW'S GENUINE SUPPLIES!

This is the black cartridge to use if you own a number of Lexmark printers. I use it in my X6150. I am very happy with the print quality with the black as well as the color (18L0042). You really must just get the cartridge out of the printer to figure out the part number though, I haven't found anything anywhere that links my printer to this cartridge.

The price is in line with other print cartridges, it is easy to get in and out and you don't make a mess with it. You should be able to get 600 pages out of one cartridge, but I haven't gotten that far yet. I'm doubtful I'll get that many but I print a lot of photos.

Overall, a good product.

I suppose the fact that I only paid $8 for this cartridge makes it not that much of a sunk investment, however the performance I received was terrible. I finally put this in my WorkForce 845, and after three weeks of occasional use (printing once or so daily), the cartridge quit working. It will print out some lines of the documents sometimes, but no amount of head cleaning or realignment got it to start working again. It is still full of ink, but is not working properly. I put in an Epson 127 cartridge and that works without issue, so I know the problem is not with the printer. Disappointing to get so little use out of it before it quit.

I bought this for my WF-3540. The printer knew it was not genuine Epson ink, but the product works as well as the VERY expensive Epson brand. I am having no problems at all using this ink.

I recently ordered Colorink refills for my HP 8500 Pro all-in-one printer. It uses HP 940 and 940XL cartridges. The description of how to do the refill was clear enough that I was able to do it without trouble. It takes a little experience to get the last bit of air out of the cartridges after the refill, however I have had no problems with any of the cartridges. The ink mixed well with the original ink. The colors are clear, but slightly darker than prints made with the OEM ink. The quality is acceptably close to the original. I am pleased with the product.

It could last a little longer. Lexmark should inform you that you can't refill these cartridges. If you don't print a lot, remove the in, place the cap on it, place it in a ziplock sandwich bag and put it in the refrigerator or it will dry up in your printer.

I think from now on I'll be buying the high yield products as the standard yield tend to wear out fairly quickly. However, I am a law student and tend to be printing a lot more than most, so it could just be a product of my situation. Otherwise, the ink is very easy to install and beginning printing. Only thing I wish is that these were refillable to make the cost lower (hint to Lexmark).

I have only used the black cartridge so far. When I pulled the label before installing as instructed ink shot out all over my hands and surroundings. I put tape over this vent hole, installed the cartridge, and all is well one month later. Is this vent hole necessary?

these guys have given me hope that customer service is not dead in America. I received my order quickly. it was as close to the original as I have seen. the price was great! then I found an issue with one of the seven cartridges. I emailed the seller, (on a Saturday night), and fully expecting no response, I began looking at other sellers for a replacement. not a chance! these guys emailed me back ON A SUNDAY and told me they were very sorry and that they would send a replacement immediately! that is what I like to hear! I received the replacement and it works perfect. NICE JOB!

The cartridges fit into the epson printer and it does appear to be working just fine. Each cartridge was slightly different so you had to be careful how you installed each one.

The cartridges arrived today, in great shape, well packaged and in 2 days. I unwrapped them, I removed the empty HP high dollar 940xl's from my HP 8500A Pro Printer and then loaded these into printer. Turned on the printer, pushed the check ink cartridge icon button and printed a report. The report read out that they were all new, full and had an expiration date of 2015-10-15. It also stated that they were HP Ink Cartridges and gave the part number of each. I then went to my Photoshop CS-5 program, picked out a HD photo from one of my files and printed it! Wow, these inks are better than the HP High $$ 940XL's. Bottom line is that, YES they work, they are supported both by my Apple and PC computer software and the HP printer software. I purchased (2) 4-packs of this "GREAT" product for less than (1) 3-pack, color only (no black) HP 940XL cartridges. Do the math, that is one great deal from Amazon for sure. I will be back for more and will be writing Amazon a letter requesting that they keep this product and price point as a main line, they are that good... I have dated these when installed and will track my production and up-date with more support info at a later time!
