Review of Ciss for Hp 940 Cartridge 8500 8000 Printer

I bought this about 6 months ago. The kit does not include chips, so if you wanted to use it, you would have to go out and buy new/used cartridges with the chip still intact and pry them off with a razorblade. This is a very delicate process and really really easy to mess up. Then you have to glue them on there somehow. It was a mess!

I finally got it to work, and had the printer do diagnostic tests and they said 3 of the 4 cartridges were in "fair" condition versus "excellent" like the real ones were. I got it so I could print photos. Unfortunately, there were a lot of color smearing and vertical lines in my prints that I could not use any of the printed photos. I would not recommend this kit to anyone.

to start with this is the second time i am being rip off by them, there CIS does not include the reset chip and they are saying that it does, bad business practice, Amazon please don't do any business with them again, they will give you a bad reputation.

the original kit i purchased is almost depleted of the original ink, it has performed flawless for a lot of prints. with that being said, do not expect the ink to perform the same as the HP ink. the ink is not as vivid, sharp and photos will look okay but not great. the value though is tremendous for general printing with this setup.

My conclusion: if you are looking for a setup like this, buy this one. it definitely works good. if you are not happy with the ink you can experiment with different ink brands and/or types but the system itself is sound and works well.
