I am a serious printer user. Some of my prints went into contests, some prints I made for other people who asked. I was always afraid that 3rd party inks would shift the colors or cause clogged heads.

Maybe that was true 10 years ago, but I had to try for myself. Nothing could be further from the truth. Colors match previous prints. I use color profiles from Epson and Ilford, and they match too. So far, all clogs have disappeared, better than with Epson inks.

Purchased this based on the review. I printed using Epson Luster photo paper on Stylus Photo R1800. Everything printed grey/green. It was horrible. I did everything to trouble shoot it and no luck. I gave up and went to Office Depot to purchase Epson ink cartridges. The images came out as expected. Complete waste of money.

these inks are printing blue instead of gray.

Skin tones are magenta. That's with using a consistently good printer with corresponding paper profile.

Maybe I could to create custom ink profiles but I don't have the time/knowledge to do that.

I have an Epson Stylus Photo R800 and anyone that has this series knows two things. The first is that it can create outstanding photos, as good as a photo lab. The other thing is that the lifecycle costs of the Epson ink cartridges is crazy since there are eight cartridges and you can't continue printing if one of them goes out. They cost between fifteen and twenty bucks each so you do the math.

These are decent cartridges. I had a problem with one of them and the company was very good about exchanging the defective cartridge. The photo quality is certainly NOT as good as Epson. However, you only pay 25% of what Epson charges so you can't complain too much.

The other thing that is a pain is that these are not very well marked and you get a variety of different cartridges styles from different manufacturers.

So, if you want to save money buy these cartridges. If you want true photo quality you are going to have to stick with Epson.

I really like this ink. I don't know how long it will last, but so far it's doing its job. I hate buying printer ink because it is very expensive. I'd rather spend my money on something fun. So even if this low-priced ink only lasts half as long as the more expensive ink I will be fine because I use it so infrequently and it was cheap so I wont mind buying it again in a few months.

the ink cartridge was compatible but the black ink ran out very quickly. i would guestimate about 50 sheets or less of paper.

These worked great in my Artisan printer, not issues, clear beautiful pictures and great looking documents. The price is right too. The only issue I had was when I was installing the black one, and removed the cover tape on the pin hole on the top, a small amount of ink came out and I had to wipe it off. No issue with the other six. I will order again. Have a tissue handy incase it happens to you!

dont shake/move/drop the carts after you open them!!! love the fact that theres an extra black cartriage

also if you ever get any flashing errors that come up on the screen about a minute after you turn it on that say:

"a printer error has occurred. turn power off and then on again. for details, see your documentation or epson.com."

or something along those lines, you can easily fix them by going to "setup", "maintenance", "automatic head maintenance" and turning it off

this got me very frustrated and im glad to have found and shared the fix.

Now on my second batch of ink cartridges for our Canon MX700 multifunction printer from this seller. Shipping was FAST for both orders. Quality of inks and cartridges is excellent. Have had no printer problems using these non-Canon inks, even when printing quality photos. Prior to this experience we had terrible results using Other Brands of after market inks with two other printers, both now deceased. BTW, the cost is well below the cost of Canon cartridges. an update on buying non-brand inks: don't. I thought all was fine using cheap refill ink for my Canon Pixma MX700. After a while the black ink nozzle has become completely plugged up to the point where even deep cleaning doesn't solve the problem. Just ordered a batch of Canon inks to replace these. I've learned my lesson.

Pros: Cheap. Order delivered promptly.

Cons:

1. When I opened each cartridge, ink had already oozed out behind the cap. So I had ink on my hands, on my desk. Luckily nothing was on my carpet. The same happened on all cartridges, black or color.

2. The print is very dark for B/W documents and very red for color photos. So the color profile is not the same as the Canon original.

3. After having the printer idled for 2 weeks, it would not print (no ink) even after many cyles of deep cleaning. The problem was that the pad at the bottom of the cartridge where the ink came out had dried up. I took the cartridge out and squeezed the plastic body to force the ink to wet the pad again. It worked but I do not know how long before it dries up again.

Will I buy this product again? Probably not. As a matter of fact, it is ridiculous that Canon price their ink cartridges as much as a new printer and the printer is programmed to consume ink even if I do not print. I will not buy any inkjet printers again (at least not Canon) and will switch to laser printer to avoid such a problem.

*** Update on 12/2/10 ***

After using these ink cartridges for some time, I would like to downgrade the rating from 2 star to 1 star, if I could. Reason? 1. The cartridges dried up again after idling for the reason described above. 2. Everytime I "squeezed" the cartridge to wet the pad, it only prints about 10 to 12 pages and I will have to squeeze again, 3. The ink goes very fast. My last cartridge did not last 100 pages. Will I buy it again? Definitely not.

Cheap Microboards Ink Cartridge For MX1/MX2/PFP

One of the most outstanding features of the Microboards MX2 Disc publishers is its conservation of consumables (The user only has to replace ink cartridges as they are used, and it inspects discs burned and usually won't print on a bad disc).

This is probably the most influential feature for purchasing this work horse of a printer over any other on the market.

The flexibility of design and quality of the print job is also exceptional.

The best quality hub printable disc is the Taiyo Yuden. Taiyo Yuden media is globally distributed as part of the JVC Advanced Media Brand. We have burned and printed on these discs with a very low failure rate compared to other disc brands.

Why 4 stars and not 5? These cartridges look remarkably like the HP 88 cartridges. So much so, that it is only after trying to use the HP 88 does the user realize they wasted money purchasing the HP 88 instead of the Microboards label.

If the two cartridges are otherwise the same, it would be nice if Microboards provided a software update to allow the HP 88 to be used. If quality control is an issue, it's been my experience that HP makes a good product. If it's the formula of the ink, Microboards needs to put a STRONG and HIGHLY VISIBLE warning to avoid the HP 88 cartridge. This will markedly contribute to the entire conservation idea.

This is my second purchase of this product. I was not into remanufactured cartridges because of previous disappointing experiences. However, this cartridge has provided me with service at least as good as an original HP26 cartridge. So far, the two cartridges have printed more clearly and have lasted longer than the new HP products I had always used. Through Amazon I received the best price and was willing to try this product because of Amazon's excellent return policy. My Brothers all in one printer is new. I had much trouble with two sets of OEM cartridges clogging the heads and having poor quality control.. No satisfaction from Brothers. At one time I had to do the cleaning operation 8 times and ran out of OEM ink. Very unhappy with OEM cartridges.

I replaced all four of the partially full OEM cartridges with ones sold by Blake Printing Supply, did one cleaning operation and the Brothers All in One printer has been working fine with accurate color and sharp black printing.

A fraction of the price of OEM and many times better than the OEM cartridges. I can recommend these cartridges purchased through Amazon.

I was so excited to receive such inexpensive and highly rated toner cartridges. I have a brother MFC-J415W printer. The blue ink was out and I have used three of the four that I just received to try to replace it. The blue ink cartridge is not recognized by the machine and all the copies come out yellow. That is not even mentioning all the blue ink all over my carpet and hands. What is the deal? Does this cartridge not fit on a MFC-J415W like the title suggest?

Update Company sent me new cartridges to replace the ones that were not full and they work superbly. I am very satisfied with the vendor and promise to buy from them again.

I purchased this 6 pack ink cartridge online thinking that I was getting a bargain, but I was wrong. The product arrived fairly quickly, so, I installed all six cartridges, but my printer showed the ink level for the yellow and the Cayen as being very low, almost empty. The other cartridges however were full to the top. Unfortunately, I was going out of town shortly thereafter I was not able to call the supplier to make a formal complaint, so I let it go until today when Amazon.com sent me an email asking me to review this product and provide some feedback. I am not in the position to point fingers at anyone at the the supplier level, but my feeling is that those two ink cartridges I described above may have been from an old stock so the company decided to sell them cheaply just to get them off the shelf. Now, you be the judge. Thanks.

UPDATE: The supplier was notified and the two ink cartridges I mentioned above were quickly replaced. I am a HAPPY customer now and would buy from them again in the future.

I purchased this set of 6 cartridges. They arrived less than 48 hours after my order was placed. The printer recognised the cartridges with no problem. I have several HP printers and generally use HP inks. I compared the print quality, even on photos, and can see no difference. No time to tell yet about ink fade over time, but for general use printing and the framed snapshots, etc., this is a good ink and at a price that cannot be beat. I will definatly purchase this ink from this seller again.

This sale was a bit misleading since it states under condition that this product is New. It is not, its a refilled cartridge which originally did not bother me, however, like many refilled cartridges, they dont last like a manufacturers sealed cartridge does. They do work in my printer with no issues, but normally cartridges last me approx. 2 1/2 3 weeks with my use, and the first one I used just ran out after less than 1 week. Even with a great low price, this was not a good deal for me. I will go back to the sealed manufacturers ink cartridges.

Too expensive and runs out way to quick, I think they actually reduced the amount of ink in each cartridge, that or they dry out. Price does not fall Canon is a rip off, but better than others, if you can find cheaper Target is a good choice go for it, otherwise Amazon is best even if pricing is not competitive.
