I am not having the trouble the other reviewer mentioned. Both the blacks and all the color cartridges seem to last a reasonable amount of time. When you can buy a color photo printer for $90, you must expect to pay a premium for the ink cartridges. Most of my printing is photos or graphics, not a lot of text, which may partially account for the longer wear of the black cartridges. All in all, I am happy with this product.

I agree with the other reviewer. I have the MP500 and this is a very nice all in one scan/print/copy no fax machine. However be prepared to shell out some bucks for the PGI-5. I am going thru about 1 every 3 weeks at a cost of about 15 bucks on very lite print jobs. I always use the fast print option. There is no compatible as of yet. I went thru Office Depot where I paid $15 per but got free shipping on orders of $50 or more. I might have to bring back my Epson for my black ink print jobs. The other four cartridges are wearing very well. This is the last printer I will ever buy that doesn't already have a compatible on the market. I am looking into refilling this cartridge with an ink kit however you have to disable the ink gauge on the printer.

This is probably the fifth cartridge I have replaced and the only one not to work perfectly.This one would produce good quality single pages but incomplete printing of multi-page documents.

If you have the Workforce 310 like I do then you should know that unless you have a very old model (about three models from the current), these print cartridges WILL NOT WORK. The chips are not recognizable by the printer and the printer will not print. With the Workforce 310 none or at least almost none of the generic or OEM cartridges work. The Workforce is an excuse to sell you ink, therefore it is designed only to take epson ink. The chips on these cartridges are not even the right size. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY THEY WONT WORK.

I bought 5 pack set for my NX 515 ... Cartridges simply did not fit in the slot and I contacted with seller and returned the items...I think they are not compatible with NX515.

Bongo no like ink prices. Bongo buys refillable ink cartridges. Bongo pays less. Bongo happy!

That's how it is supposed to go, and how it goes for most people who buy refillable cartridges.

In my case, The yellow cartridge wasn't being recognized by my printer. Nothing a quick email and some waiting could't fix.

The seller heard my problem and sent a new cartridge chip my way no questions asked. The chip worked and now I'm back to printing as usual. No big deal.

Some things to note:

1. Do NOT touch the green chip on the front, this can cause the cartridge not to be recognised and is annoying to fix but not a huge problem.

2. Remove the air hole caps Before putting them in the printer, and keep them off, or nothing will print

3. Do a head cleaning after putting the cartridges in and leave it for an hour, The do a nozzle check and repeat the processif you are having printing problems.

4. There are 2 types of printer ink, pigment and dye. You want pigment ink for any printer that uses epson 125/126/127 ink because that what epson uses in their cartridges. I couldn't find any other pigment ink package on ebay or amazon as full, or as cheap as this.

5. This set contains more than one refill, and is much cheaper that buying oem cartridges because once you finish your ink, you already have the cartridges and the syringes so all you need is 33 dollars to get the same amount of ink again.

I don't print gobs of paper. I attempted to use a CISS (not Printpayless though). Since I don't print too much, the CISS tubes would often refill with air and I would need to prime the system (a messy process) and run head cleaning repeatedly to get the printer to print again. The CISS was the type with a long ribbon-tube cable that you had to "mount" (for lack of a better word) to the printer and leave the ink wells to the side of the printer. After months of frustration I ordered the kit in this review.

What a difference! These are easy to install, refill, reset and the print output is great. I predominantly print plain paper documents as opposed to photos, however the photo output appears to be pretty good.

I can't think of a reason to not use these instead of Epson cartridges, they are cheaper, show up as Epson, and simply work.

Epson inks have been really good for me ever since I bought my first Epson printer 4 years ago. I have never had a cartridge go out on me. The ink quality is comparable to those from HP if not better. I would recommend that you stick with Epson ink and not use the other ink. The quality and ease of use is just not there. Overall a great product.

You can tell my HP printer HATES the fact that it's printing with ink not made by its own mother. The ink level icon on the printer's front dash just yields a question mark instead of a level reading. But as a pro graphic designer/art director, I can tell you this ink performs beautifully — indistinguishable from the original ink.

Actually, I take that back. The Eco Ink would appear to perform BETTER than the original HP ink. When I used exclusively HP ink in my OfficeJet J6480, when printing color images, there would appear white banding across the images — effectively making them useless printouts with such expensive ink. This was true with the first J6480 we had, which was why we sent it back under warranty for a replacement. The second unit has the identical flaw. I've never seen this flaw with the other HP OfficeJet, DeskJet and other models I've either had or used. Since we've switched to the Eco Ink, I realize that we have yet to experience this issue! Could be co-incidence: I may not have done a lot of demanding, saturated image printing with the printer with the new inks yet to be definitively sure. But we've printed images with the new ink, on successive pages, and they've all come out looking great. At a fraction of the cost of HP ink, I'm not sure getting rid of the question mark on the printer's front panel is worth paying three or four times as much for ink cartridges...

These Eco cartridges work great without any hassles. This is the third time I ordered them and every time they worked well. Of course, I have not counted the number of pages I am getting with XL cartridge and hence I can not comment on that issue. I am trying to find 564XL compatible Eco cartridges for HP C410a printer if they are available.

I ordered 2 of these cartridges for the Dell 946 printer. One didn't work at all. The email tech support said to run it under hot water, which I did to no avail. The other cartridge worked for maybe 20 pages. So now I only buy authentic, new Dell cartridges.

Presently it is wise to contact the seller to be sure WHICH 564XL Black (not photo black) cartridge that he actually sells. The Amazon web pages for this product may show the wrong HP part number. I received the present replacement part in May 2011, a few months ago I got the earlier part.

This particular web page shows a picture of what is more likely the old 564XL Black ink cartridge because the package seems to show "3X the pages" but has the data indicating the new 564XL Black ink cartridge part number which package (the one I recently received) shows " NEW lower price, smaller size Up to 2X more pages".

The previous 564XL Black ink cartridge was thicker and as indicated on the package offered up to 3X the printing of the regular 564 Black ink cartridge. Its HP number was/is CB321WN#140 (option 140 on package). Cost about $30.

The replacement 564XL Black ink cartridge is now (one-half) about the thickness of the 564 color ink cartridges and indicates 2X the printing (550 pages) as the regular 564 Black ink cartridge. Its HP number is CN684WN#140 (option 140 on package). Cost about $22 here and on the HP web site.

HP no longer indicates the actual amount of ink in the cartridges it sells nor apparently do the phone support people know. The HP part number is on the bottom of the package.

Ignoring any cost change contribution of cartridge parts such as plastic, electrical and packaging, you pay about 10 per cent more for the ink in the new replacement 564XL ink cartridge. Shipping cost differences affect the final cost and should be noted.

It is not uncommon for a business to increase the cost of a product in this way and remember that the cost increase may be simply because of the increased cost of production and materials.

I would have preferred HP to keep the larger cartridge and increase its cost maybe future HP printers won't even allow larger cartridges, just one size, filled to different ink levels as already is done. If you dislike HP's action then write a letter to HP corporate don't bother with the usual HP support it's not a technical problem, it's a marketing-business decision.

I just received my order for the 564xl black cartridge. In the listings on Amazon it showes two ink cartridges, one for under $22.00 and states its the new size printing up to 2x more pages, and another for under $30.00 which is listed as the older cartridge that prints up to 3x pages. Well I took the trouble to make sure I ordered the old cartridge with 3x pages. You guested it, I received the newer cartridge which sells for under $22 and was charged for the older cartridge. Amazon you need to update your listings. If I had known I could have bought the new smaller cartridge locally, it was cheaper at my office supply store. I won't be ordering again, I will buy locally for now. (I ordered product # HP CB321WN and received CN684WN)

Joining in the chorus of reviews here warning that HP (and Amazon) have done a bait-and-switch and halved the size of the black ink cartridge while still calling it the "XL" size. In fact, I did a re-order by going to my previous order page and re-ordering from the link of the precise product I previous purchased, but instead received the new product that is half the size. What makes this even more insulting is what they basically did is take the previous not "XL" version and put the old "XL" (which was supposed to designate the extra capacity) on it. So they literally baited-and-switched.

HP lost its soul a long time ago and has been a scummy company for a while now. Their printers are now cheap commodity products intentionally designed to break after a couple years. I have been through many, each with light use. I recall when one of them was "bricked" by their own software update, only a month out of warranty. I called TECH SUPPORT and got routed to a call center in India where the person didn't know enough tech to set his watch and spent the whole time trying to sell me on buying a new printer from him on the spot to replace the old one. He said I would get a deep discount because they were doing it to fix their tech problem but when I looked it up on real time online he was quoting MSRP and about $150 more than I could buy it online. When I called him out on that he hung up on me. And this was their official tech support line. I went online and was able to fix the software problem myself by reverting to an old version and the printer was fine... For another 3 months until the internal power supply failed and they wanted $250 to fix it, which was more than it cost to replace. That's HP for you.

But for Amazon to facilitate this criminal operation by selling the bait-and-switch product under the same product # as the old original version makes them no better.

I will never buy another HP product again. I used to be able to get the larger 564XL before they made a smaller version of the 564XL. It is ridiculous that they shrunk the size down and kept the same XL designation. Of course you don't even know how much you're getting any more because they no longer show the actual volume on the packaging anywhere. On my previous HP printer the sizes were listed as 19 ml for the regular and 38 ml for the XL. But with the new printer the refills no longer have the actual volume. So that gives them the opportunity to jack with the volumes and rape the consumer.

Seriously. I am done with HP. I like the print quality of their printers, but this is no way to treat customers!

I was told I'd receive my order between June 28 and July 16 I received the cartridges on 7/3. My printer had actually stopped printing anything. So while I was waiting for the cartridges to arrive, I unplugged everything on the printer. I just installed the cartridges this morning (after I plugged all the cables/plug-ins back in). Worked perfectly I printed a color picture came out beautifully. Then tried a plain black & white document came out perfectly no lines, no defects. NOW, if they will just last, I'll be sooo happy. I cannot afford to buy Dell cartridges and what a great buy these cartridges were. If anything changes, I'll add to my review. By the way, I have a Dell V310 Series All-In-One.

I not dissatisfied but t am unhappy with my purchase.Since I ordered this item plus 4 more, my printer has ceased to operate. Upon receiving the cartridges, I replaced the old ones with these new ones and my printer has not printed since. It says 'you have a printhead problem' I did everything the book suggested.. I called Dell and they suggested I get a new printer. I have no idea if the new cartridges were the problem but I do feel they had a part of the printhead problem. I haven't had any problems with the printed beforehand.

Auto alignment failed on Dell V715w printer. Test page has streaks on blue. Black letters are not crisp. Works OK if just using for home application, but if you plan to send out formal letters or any sort of production, you might want to avoid these. But the price is right if you don't need the higher quality.

I purchased these in April 2008 and they have a "Must be used within 6 months of April 2008 for warranty to apply" date on them.

My local retailer has the same cartridges with "January 2009" as the date.

I thought I was being proactive by buying extra cartridges and but I doubt I will use these in 6 months.

Next time I purchase a product with a limited shelf life I think I will stick with a local retailer so I know that I am getting a newer product.

Amazon If you all are reading the reviews... For products with a limited shelf life figure out a way to let your customers know this ahead of time. Also consider discounting products that are nearing the end of their shelf lives. Otherwise you won't be able to compete with local retailers.

These cartridges came out-of-box wrapped in a piece of brown paper. There was a note saying this is a less wasterful (sic) solution to protect our environment. Well, OK. I'm for that, but it was a bit of a surprise. This is not how the product was represented. There is some info on the box that I don't get to see, such as the use-by date. I hate all that packaging, so I am glad they do this; but the practice must evolve to include all the information on the cartridge wrap.

Each cartridge didn't seem to print very many pages before turning into simply one color. One cartridge became "red only" and one "green only". So the black/color printing for each cartridge lasted approx 10 pages. I was thinking I made quite the find. The next day, I tried to print and got a message to check the ink. I readjusted many times and still nothing. Then I noticed my fingers were discolored from the ink. The only good thing I can say about this ink is that it comes off of your fingers in a day or two...

The price was certainly good. When I removed the cover on the ink before putting it into the machine ink leaked out. That was an unpleasant & staining surprise. So far it seems to be printing OK, although I have not replaced all the cartridges that I had in the machine before. I need to replace the yellow one now. I needed a gray & I see that it is below here to be evalutated. I have not tried it & I believe I ordered it from another source.

I've noticed some reviewers mentioning this cartrifge will not fit/work with their CX5400 printer.

I've also noticed a samll app, next to the item on this page, where you can 'verify' if this cartridge fits your printer. This app also shows that it wont't fit. But I don't know why it shows that.

These are the orginal ink cartrdiges that came with my CX5400 when I bought it.

I've bought this cartridge before in local stores, and had no problem with it.

Last time I ordered it here from Amazon, again I had no oproblem with it.

That time there were no reviews here mentioning that it would not work with CX5400.

That samll silly app, that shows that it won't fit, also was not here.

I've just recently ordered this same cartridge. Today my black ink run out, so I replaced it with the cartridge I recently received from Amazon. Again, ... no problems what-so-ever. It fits perfectly, and works/prints fine.

Write a review? What's to write? It's ink. Plug it in,.. use it.

Quality is good. But I never came upon a particular ink that wasn't.

I go a reasonable time on one cartridge, ... about 6 months, more or less.

I do a considerable amount of printing.

Printing almost daily, several pages,... printing 4 to 15 pages daily,.. some days more, some days less.

This is jsut a rough estimate of waht I print. Of course I haven't measured it, nor will I do so. It works for me.

Price is the issue for me here. I do find this Epson cartridge ink for quite a higher price in stores then the price listed here. So this seemed like a pretty good deal. On the other hand, I just did a check online, and I see the same cartridge for about the 3rd of the price listed here (that's the only reason I'm rating 4 stars, otherwise it would have been 5 stars). But also some at the much higher price you find in stores. Makes me wonder why there's such a huge difference in price. I'm not sure of those at about a 3rd of the price either. Ah well,... just do a price check before you buy.

Again,.... these work well for me,... and o yes,... almost forgot, fact that it's delivered at your door is quite nice. I got my order 8 days after ordering. That's good eneough for me.

I took out what I had just installed and found them to be TO3...series when my CX5400 takes a TO42...series. I now have three openned, new, but, unusable cartridges. Anyone want them?

Maybe it's just me..but there seems to be some confusion about this cartridge. The '20' on the end of the PN seems to be the volume of ink IN the cartridge. At least, the other cartridges (color) in the C82 also have '20's on the end, and they contain 20ml. of ink, according the specs I've read. Epson DOES make a '40' in black for this application. Seeing as black is twice the physical width of the color cartridges, it would stand to reason that a '40' on a black cart is the double WIDTH cart..with twice (almost) the volume of ink. I didn't find an ink volume spec for the '20' in black, so wondered if I would in fact receive a skinny black cartridge.

That the picture shows the larger size didn't tell me anything. Anyone buying items on Amazon for any length of time knows the pictures are often incorrect for the item being sold. For that matter, so are the descriptions! I was looking at a 12-egg carrier for camping..the dimensions were stated to be 1x1x1. No way that works no matter how you look at it.

What I GOT with this order of T032120 black cartridges was indeed the double-wide pieces I was looking for.

The fact that the 'does it fit' lookup chart at the time I ordered did not list the C82 was only a minor confusement that didn't matter.

Exercise caution when opening the package. Mine came in a bubble-wrap lined envelope. I cut the edge of the envelope with a knife..and cut into the vacuum sealed bag of one of the cartridges. It's not vacuum sealed no more.

These ink cartridges are name brand and exactly what I had been purchasing at office supply stores. I found them on-line (EPSON name brand), and they were so much cheaper. I wish I had purchased them on-line years ago! Well worth it and would purchase again.
