I am not having the trouble the other reviewer mentioned. Both the blacks and all the color cartridges seem to last a reasonable amount of time. When you can buy a color photo printer for $90, you must expect to pay a premium for the ink cartridges. Most of my printing is photos or graphics, not a lot of text, which may partially account for the longer wear of the black cartridges. All in all, I am happy with this product.

I agree with the other reviewer. I have the MP500 and this is a very nice all in one scan/print/copy no fax machine. However be prepared to shell out some bucks for the PGI-5. I am going thru about 1 every 3 weeks at a cost of about 15 bucks on very lite print jobs. I always use the fast print option. There is no compatible as of yet. I went thru Office Depot where I paid $15 per but got free shipping on orders of $50 or more. I might have to bring back my Epson for my black ink print jobs. The other four cartridges are wearing very well. This is the last printer I will ever buy that doesn't already have a compatible on the market. I am looking into refilling this cartridge with an ink kit however you have to disable the ink gauge on the printer.

This is probably the fifth cartridge I have replaced and the only one not to work perfectly.This one would produce good quality single pages but incomplete printing of multi-page documents.

Someone recently questioned whether these cartridges were 'starter' cartridges with less than a full fill of ink. After receiving them and a couple of retail packaged cartridges I weighed all three. The cartridges which came with the printer, these and a cartridge in the retail package (cardboard box) all weigh the same approx. 41 grs. After charging the print head for the first time a cartridge loses about 4 grs. When exhausted it weighs about 20-21 grs. Just an FYI.

They are not in retail boxes, just the same plain shrink wrap that they come in inside the box. It looks like the packs that came with my printer originally, which were full size product. I'm perfectly satisfied and recommend these. Good deal.

these may work well; and are like the original pigment ink sets made for the r2000; but if you open the printer utility the cartridge info shows they are often 6 to 9 years out of date; eg manufactured in 2004 or 2005. so either they are filled up with secondary ink; or they are very out of date; i have been having lots of clogs; horizontal banding that require frequent head nozzle cleaning which wastes a lot of ink; and i suspect it is because of old ink and dried up solvent. the epson proprietary solvent for pigment inks is unique and these cartridges are likely quite discounted for a reason; try to print alot if you are going to uses these inkjet sets to avoid nozzle clogging.

These are genuine, unopened inks for the Photo R2000 printer, but be aware that these are the prepackaged ink sets that normally comes with a new printer. They appear to be fully filled, so this may be a good bargain considering the cost of the retail versions. I know some printer companies ship "setup" inks with their inexpensive printers. I am not sure though of the legalities of pulling ink cartridges from new printers and then reselling them.

I will reserve the right to post further comments on this once I use the inks for some photo printing.

Other reviewers have stated this before.....this is genuine Epson ink. I recently purchased an Epson Stylus Photo R2000 photo printer the reason I chose this model was based partially on the cost of the ink. This is exactly the same ink and packaging that arrives with a new printer. The ink is sealed in vacuum plastic packaging.....not a retail box which is sold in staples,office depot....etc. In fact, my first set on prints came from this ink instead of the ink that was included with the printer. End result.....excellent quality prints. I highly recommend this ink and hope that it remains available. One last note: set of 8 inks: here on Amazon = 27.95 + 4(shipping)= $31.95 vs average retail cost: 8 inks x 21.95= 175.60 +10.54(6% tax) = $186.14 .............$31.95 vs $186.14 ...........this is a no brainer!!

I ordered 2 of these cartridges for the Dell 946 printer. One didn't work at all. The email tech support said to run it under hot water, which I did to no avail. The other cartridge worked for maybe 20 pages. So now I only buy authentic, new Dell cartridges.

The ink did not work properly. Have never had this issue before w/ my printer lexmark x6575, but this time, when i replaced the color cartridge and tried to align the printer, it would not print any blue at all. I tried multiple things including putting in the old cartridge, which printed blue properly, but was low on ink obviously. No stickers were remaining on the cartridge. Not sure what is going on with their ink cartridges that this company is sending out. I cannot return it either as I threw away the box.

I purchased this 3 pack having good luck with other third party inks in the past. Not even one of the three I purchased worked. The first two leaked so bad right as I took the orange protective cover off that I got ink all over my hands and my counter top. So I had to throw them away immediately. The third did not leak, but the little "chip" does not sit right in the printer, therefore not allowing a good connection, and my printer not recognizing the presence of an ink tank. I do suggest using third party inks for the PGI-5bk, but I would never recommend using this one.

I own (2) Canon MP530 printers. I bought a dozen of these ink carts because of the astounding price. Seems that it's too good to be true as both of my printers were unable to print black after switching to this cartridge. One of them is working again (and print quality is fine) after several deep cleaning and cleaning cycles. I haven't yet run the other unit through all of the cleaning yet.

I purchased a 3-pak from 77-Ink. The first of the three cartrideges activated the alarm light on my printer. That evening I e-mailed 77-ink. By the following morning they had responded with the advice that I test another of the cartridges from the 3-pak. The second worked correctly and 77-Ink agreed to replace the first faulty cartridge. I've never had much luck with items made in China. But, the service at 77-Ink was first class.

I ordered two of these 10 pack ink cartridges for my Epson stylus, and the printer refused to recognise it. It said it could not detect ink levels because the cartridge was not a genuine Epson cartridge. I tried taking them out, cleaning them and reloading them. No luck. Basically i just feel like I wasted my money. My advice to potential buyers? Don't end up like me thirty-something dollars broker with 20 unusable cartridges . Just save up to buy legit Epson cartridges.

Unfortunately only the colour cartridge worked and the black one did not. Since Amazon only fulfilled the order they are not responsible for the product itself and only offer a refund for returning the product. Not worth returning but we'll maybe think twice next time.
