I don't like refilling. And you should see my carpet after 20 years of refilling. And 70% of the time the carts don't work after being refilled, but so far these do, knock on wood. Easy to refill, prints just fine, no complaints.

Amazon.com has one of the lowest prices for this product. Office depot also sells this product online for $, but watch out if you go to the retail store they have it priced for $. I mentioned this price discrepancy to the checkout clerk who was nice enough to verify the online price on the store computer and honor the $ price.

The only reason that I am giving this product **** is because the ink tanks, especially the black, get used up pretty quickly. And good luck with the check/clean print nozzle function, because that will drain the ink tanks even faster.

But don't substitute don't use the generic brands. I had been using the Office Depot brand. I was paying less for the generic ink and the print quality was the same as the Canon inks. But then my printhead nozzle started clogging up. A whole series of nozzle clean funtions were unsuccessful I went through one color ink and two black ink tanks while doing that. Somebody told me to pull out the printhead and let it soak in about 1/2 inch of warm water in a bowl for a few hours. The clog in the printhead did not go away. I called Canon to find out the price of a new printhead and was shocked to find out that the printhead would cost me more than the price I had paid for the printer itself. Somebody else told me that the clog could be because of the crappy Office Depot ink. So I bought the Canon ink package, did the nozzle clean test a couple of times, and, no more clogs! That was a year ago. Have been buying only Canon ink since and keeping away from generics. Print quality is good.

Bottomline Use brand name inks, pay more, but most likely avoid printhead problems; or buy Office Depot/Staples store brand inks, pay less, but possibly end up with a headache.

There are several other brands that manufacture identical type color ink tanks but you should not use them. In comparison with the Canon ink tank they are conspicuously less accurate in color and lower in quality. They easily jam up the printer, costing more to repair the printer than the initial savings they provide.

While it may be safe to go with different brands for black ink, stay with this high-quality Canon ink tank for color.

This ink is fine for very basic printing needs; it's economical. Just don't get it wet, or try to use an overliner on it (sorry students and researchers)!!! My 8-year old Canon BJ-200e (which uses the BC-02 Black cartridge) is far superior in terms of water resistance! You would think that after 8 years, Canon would improve their product, not make it worse! I wish all printer makers would go with Pigment Black Ink that is very water resistant.

This ink runs out rather quickly, even when using economy printing, so have extra tanks at hand.

Good ink. I have tried other inks that are available and many of these have dried out or damaged my printer head. Right now this is my prefered black ink for canon. Why on five stars? COST it is about twice the cost of other black inks. But a Good ink.

On the color side I have found that almost any color ink is OK... Does not dry out. I have a Canon MP 360.

Horrible waste of money. HPc310 printer would not recognize the cartridges. It would try to prime the inks and it would jam in the track and then get a paper jam. The black car!tridge would not stay seated so it kept making the printer track jam as well. As other reviews said, ink leaked and over all messy experience.

I never got one printed page out of this product. Waste of money and time. I marched right down to the office supply store and bought genuine HP ink. Irritates the hell out me to pay those prices. At least my printer instantly worked and was no longer possessed. Don't waste your time and money on ttis product. I didn't bother to try to return it, more of my time wasted.

All ink colors work great. No issues with the color or the way they print. The only issue I have is that the printer still says the ink is low on some of the colors. The paperwork that comes with the ink states that this might happen but I am not sure how I will know when it is really low. No other issues.

I only recently started to use this ink (both color and black) with my Dell all-in-one printer. The alignment paper came out almost exactly the same as with the original Dell cartridge, there were only very minor color differences in the blue. As it is stated on the packaging the printer sends a warning message that the cartridges are empty,but I just ignored it as instructed, and it prints fine. I'll bet this cartridge will even last longer than Dell's ridiculusly priced $30+ ink cartridges.

So far I'm very happy with this purchase, the photos I printed came out nice.

I have only replaced the black cartridge. So far it has been working properly. No difference observed compared to the Brother cartridge, since I have been printing documents, not graphic arts. To me it's great value at such a low cost for my purpose.

The bad thing about this black cartridge is: you have to push it hard to fit in the printer. Probably it's not sized very precisely. I don't think it will hurt the printer, though.

Shipping was in a cushioned envelope, each cartridge individually sealed. So no worries about leaking.

Overall, I will buy this again.

These generic replacement ink cartridges work perfectly in my Brother MFC-490CW printer. I have ordered them several times, and have never had any problems. The MFC-490CW is a general purpose printer, and the results using these cartridges is comparable to the original Brother LC61 cartridges. Colors look decent, and ink consumption seems to be similar to the original. Being generic, there may or may not, be a brand name on the box. The generic cartridge looks slightly different from the Brother, but have no worries, they fit and are recognized by the printer's ink level monitor.

These non-OEM cartridges are packaged and sold in various quantities, so it can take a bit of research to find the best deal, for the kind of printing you do (color vs. black ink). The prices for these items fluctuate, but with shipping costs included, a unit cost in the one to two dollar range is common. That is still a fraction of the cost of the Brother LC61 cartridge. And the prices for generics at Amazon, are often better than what can be found on eBay.

Unlike Canon, Brother does not take extreme measures to try and force consumers to buy their products. These generics are inexpensive, easy to use, and produce good results. Until something better comes along, there is no reason for me to consider using anything else.

I've only had to replace my yellow cartidge since I received these and so far I'm satisfied. I had some trouble getting the plastic cover off the nozzle hole but after peeling it off with a small pair of pliers the cartridge loaded without a problem. My photos look fine so I'm happy -especially with the price.

I have used this ink in my Canon Pixma MG 2120. If you school going kids then this is very good ink for ordinary purpose. But if you want high quality printing or for office use, I will recommend original ink. The drill for making a whole is so small that you can use it easily. I made the whole in the cartridge with hot needle. I have not used this ink for photo printing on photo paper. I think it as good choice for ordinary purpose printing.

I recently bought an Epson Stylus Photo 1400 which prints 13" X 19" size photos. The only problem is that I use a lot of ink printing large format photos, therefore I purchased the FantasyBuy CIS System for the printer. What a money saver this system has turned out to be. I needed the ink for my printer, I have the ink caddy and ran out of black and needed it right away and I got it in a dew days and was able to complete my project. I have another Epson printer and it stopped printing not because anything was wrong but they put a block on it at a certain amount of prints. There isn't anything wrong but they want you to buy a new printer when you make that certain amount which is Bull Sh@& to me. I bought it and now you are telling me I can only use it a certain amount. There is a by pass which they are now putting up but you only can use a PC to download it and I have a MAC. Bad move on their part because I will never buy another Epson and as I'm doing it here letting everyone I know that they are bogus . You should never buy an epson printer again. First they charge so much for the little bit of ink that they give you and charge you up the butt for more ink and if you use a off brand they put messages up on the printer saying that you are not using the right ink and can't guarantee the quality. When you print more than they think you should have they stop the printer from working and try to make you go tho a repair shop to fix it and they tell you its cheaper to buy a new printer. What a scam.
