I purchased this remanufactured Black 96 cartridge for my HP 6988 printer.

This is the correct Model # cartridge for the printer. However, the printer would

not accept the cartridge and I was not able to use it. I waited too long after warranty period to open the sealed package

and discover the problem. The seller, Tonerpals, would not replace the cartridge or offer a credit.

Although I was glad it arrived earlier than anticipated, I was let down to find out it was refurbished, rather than a brand new cartridge. It works in the printer so far, but the gauge indicating the amount of ink remaining does not work with this cartridge.

Since I do a lot of printing for my business, a combo pack is usually my best choice. These cartridges came in HP packaging, so the seller had no way of knowing, but the Cyan cartridge was defective and did not snap into place easily, as they usually do. I finally got it seated in properly, but feel that the seller should contact HP and inform them of the problem.

These cartridges are not cheap, and my HP printer gets 'bent out of shape'if I try to use anything other than genuine HP cartridges,(flashes an error message) so if HP is going to insist that I buy only their cartridges, than they need to check them to be sure that they work before selling them to suppliers.

Unless one reads the description very carefully, one may believe that the ink cartridges are all the extra capacity type which they are not. Only the black cartridge is the "XL" or extra capacity variety.

Nothing spectacular, its just printer ink. It is what you think it would be. The black does last longer than the regular 564 ink cartridge. I would buy this again as a package deal. I do a lot of printing projects so I go through a lot of ink. I bought this since Walmart would not ship to an APO AE address and some of the others were more expensive.

This ink is comparible to that found in office supply stores in price without having to drive to another town to get it.

I bought this product for my printer and when I installed it, all I got was an error Msg. saying that it was incompatible. Contacted Amazon and they quickly put me in touch with the company. The company was VERY helpful in allowing me to return and recieve a refund for my purchase.

This is a Very good company with a quick and caring support team. I am in the process of returning Items.

And they are going to see what problem is and try to correct it.

I agree with some of the reviews that the cartridges don't last very long and are expensive. I tried a refill product from Dataproducts for both b&w (51629A)and color cartridges (51649A). Both work well. I didn't trust the cover for the color refill and used the old one by attaching it with tape. Works fine so far. Hope this helps.

I received a twin pack of HP 45 cartridges on June 30, 2011. The warranty as stated on the package expires in July 2011. When I contacted SophiaGlobal, they said they would warrant the cartridges for an additional 2 years. I decided to keep the cartridges, but I feel (for Truth in Advertising) that they should have noted in the ad that they were old cartridges. They stated in an email "we have sold hundreds of OEM HP ink cartridges with expired warranty dates over the last few years". So be sure to ask before ordering if you want "fresh" ink.

Some reviewers complained that this cartridge has a low ink supply. I suppose that may be true for someone running a very active office or home-office with very demanding print needs. However, in my Deskjet 882C (an excellent printer) used at home with moderate printing (in a home-office), these cartridges last just fine. I have been using them in my 882C since March, '99 and am only on my 4th one 4 in 16 months is not too bad. But even more importantly, is the excellent performance: clear black text, never smudged or faded, very professional looking on practically any paper. A good, safe, relaible product.

(2008 HOLIDAY TEAM)Let's face it, how much can you really say about an ink cartridge? Using this on my HP970cxi produces very good print quality. The biggest problem I've had with the cartridges has been a tendency to dry up more quickly than they should. A couple of them have gone dry far too soon after purchase both in terms of time and the number of sheets printed. Fortunately, most of them hold up for a reasonable period of time. The bottom line is that you need ink cartridges to use your printer and this is a good cartridge even if it isn't perfect.

Very easy to refill. I like that they are see-through so you can easily tell when you need to refill the cartridge. I am using these cartridges or the extended version of these cartridges in 4 different printers currently with out any problems so far.

First off, the print cartridges were not as advertised. The were not HP cartridges, but re-manufactured cartridges. Contacted seller and they claimed it was Amazon's fault. They did offer me 1/2 refund, and assured me that the cartridges would work fine.

I tried replacing the black ink cartridge tonight and the printer would not recognize it. Told me the cartridge in not compatible. Put the old cartridge back is and the printer accepted it.

Buyer beware, false advertising and faulty merchandise from this seller.

The ones provided by the maker of the printer are just too expensive. So I tried LD and they are very good. I also tried one cheaper brand and had lots of problems. So I came back to LD brand. I rarely have any issues with theses, and the issues are my fault for having them in my travel computer bag and banging it around. I use both the black & white and the color type and both are very good. I go through lots of them. I have been using the LD for about 2 years now and will continue.

I bought this product while I still had one unused Canon CLI-221Y on the shelf, and saved it "in case." Good thing I did!

When I inserted this generic product, I got no yellow in my printouts, so I figured I that was just a defective cartridge, and replaced it with another generic. Same thing no yellow in the printouts. So I took the second generic out and replaced it with the Canon 221Y that I had kept in reserve. Immediately, the printer worked perfectly. So...yeah, I hate this product. Just glad I didn't buy more than one pack of 4 and that it was cheap.

When customers were satisfied with this product, what printer were they using? It sure didn't work with my MS870!

After I purchased stock inks, printer became malfunctioned . I wonder if this caused by generic inks I used ? Repair the printer cost I don't know but I purchased new one anyway to save time.

ordered two and one was the correct one the other one was the wrong cartridge for my printer did not realize it was the wrong one until i tried to install it in my printer the box is labled for my printer but cartridge inside is for a HP printer.

Thought I would try a compatible toner cartridge to save some cash. This product left a big black streak down the middle of my papers when copying or printing. I used it to print about 400 pages, so it wasn't a temporary issue. I even tried a new drum, and still no luck. As soon as I changed back to a genuine Brother product, the streak disappeared and it has been good ever since. Don't waste your money on this.

I opened the carton and removed the cartridge. I then slit the black plastic wrapping that contained the cartridge and noticed there was black powder all over it. I carefully cleaned the excess from the outside of the cartridge and then inserted it into the drum. After putting the unit into the printer, I started printing.The first few pages that printed were covered with black powder. I then printed about a dozen more pages and there was no improvement so I returned the cartridge to Amazon. I ordered this particular cartridge because of the high ratings it received on the Amazon web site. I will now order a cartridge from another manufacturer.
