When it comes to ink for my R1800 photo printer, I am concerned with the quality of the images I print. The Epson cyan UltraChrome Hi-Gloss ink cartridge provides superior resistance to water, fading and smudging. It is important to me that my prints are of high quality, so I don't attempt to use the cheaper compatible ink cartridges. The color can be duplicated, but all inks are not created equal. Third party options may produce a good print initially, but may not hold up or last as long.

Amazon requested a review for this from me.. so here it is. Its great. Not sure what else to say, anyone using this printer knows this is the only ink you should use. Epson has high quality pigments that will last for years, Epson claims it will last even centuries before fading.

Amazingly enough this item worked immediately in my printer! I worried about installation and compatibility, and no problem. The ink register however does not work so you don't have the ability to use HP software to gauge amount of ink left in the cartridge.

We sometimes get only one cartridge that works out of four. Very frustrating.We have tried to reload them multiple times but even though it is a full cartridge the printer does not recognize that it is even there. When it does recognize it it does not use the ink and instead of black we get blue or pink.

Get these genuine Brother cartridges, save some money, and protect your Brother printer, brother. I am convinced now, after several years experience and some failures with Brother MFC printers and aftermarket cartridges, that aftermarket cartridges will ultimately wreck the printer and void the warranty. So Brother's advice to use only genuine Brother cartridges is more than just a cheap shot to sell more cartridges. That is what makes these genuine Brother cartridges such a good deal. I have been using their inks for years and have had really good luck. I use this for pictures, cds and regular printing. Their customer service is good as well. I had one cartridge that would not work and they replaced it right away. Good product.
