Finding a replacement toner cartridge for an HP printer turned out to be a confusing and slightly bizarre experience. We found a huge disparity in pricing, even for the HP branded stock replacement. They were all pretty expensive though.

On the other hand, some retailers had $13 replacements, which sounded way too good to be true. We settled for this brand and are pleased with our purchase. The 'high yield' is important. This cartridge is physically bigger than the stock cartridge on one side. It does fit perfectly, but there's more cartridge on the 'door' side. (it doesn't interfere with the door closing, etc). The result is that there's more toner.

I will buy this brand again, it was a reasonable 'middle ground' in price and the quality to date has been excellent.

1st package I received included a faulty black cartridge. I emailed the seller who promptly replied with a possible remedy. When that remedy failed, I emailed again requesting a replacement black cartridge. I received the cartridge within a couple of days and it works fine. You do have to "ok" using a non-HP cartridge on your PC, but it prints just fine once you do.

The cartridges worked just fine. Printer let me know they were remanufactured and not new cartridges. Only problem was that the black cartridge leaked on my hands during installation, but seems to work fine in the printer. Good value but just know these are remanufactured and not new.

These cartridges just would not work! Printer gave an error message no matter what I did. I contacted the vendor and tried his suggestions but that only worked briefly. Very disappointed!!!

I could not get these remanufactured ink cartridges to work in my HP 4500 series printer. The printer would not acknowledge the cartridge in order to begin its alignment procedure and just kept giving error messages. I have had similar experiences with other brands of remanufactured cartridges, but some have worked. Since I couldn't rely on being able to use the cheaper ink, I purchased a Canon Pixma printer, scanner, copier, FAX for about the price of two HP cartridges. Canon ink is much cheaper.

This is the second time I've ordered these cartridges from this seller and they are well worth the price. I am on my second black refill and will be using the color refill before the weeks out. I am extremely satisfied with the print quality and the amount of copies that that the cartridge produces before needing to be replaced. My HP printer works very well with these replacement cartridges, I even get the amount levels display as I did with the HP replacements. My advice is don't waste your money on name brand HP cartridges when these do the exact same job but cost much less!

Nice tone quality if you use it correctly. Photoshop and Iphoto does print a little bit darker. You can tweak them in both applications. However importing them as is to Indesign does bring out better tonality. Without all the tweaking.

Ink is expensive, and ordering non-OEM replacement cartridges is hit-n-miss. You can end up with some amazing cartridges that print just as well as the OEM, or you can waste your money on junk. In this case I ended up with junk. Today I finally ran my old cartridges dry and opened up these. I installed them properly only to have the printer tell me they are not recognized. I read the instructions, ensuring I have not missed a step, and then read number 7 on the instruction sheet...which I will be uploading a picture of shortly.

"If printer does not recognize the new installed cartridge, reinstall the cartridge or restart your printer until it works."

Yeah, keep on installing that cartridge and restarting your printer until it works. If I had not spent my money on a product I expected to work I would laugh. But I did spend my money, and wasting it on something that doesn't work is infuriating. The insult to the injury is the instructions to just "reinstall until it works". I believe it was Albert Einstein that said the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results. For a few minutes today I was insane I guess. No longer...

I have an HP1210xi All-In-One printer I have owned for four years, bought from SAMS for $88. I love it. Now they sell for half that. The printer is very stingy with ink. I have tried a few alternatives to the standard issue HP #56 with mixed success. As others may know about this issue, the ink cartridges have a level detector chip that must be reset if refilled. I refilled a few for printers at a non-profit where I volunteer but about half or less were successful. The Sophia Global HP#56 I purchased through Amazon has printed perfectly "most of the time". I don't do a lot of heavy printing. The first time I did I had several incidents where the printer stopped printing and kicked out the sheet. My guess is that the replacement #56 ink cartridge level detection misbehaved in some way. I use a wireless print server on my home network so I do not see direct ink status all the time. Sometimes the print status in the print queue will indicate "Ink Cartridge Empty" but it keeps printing. the whole thing is sort of mysterious. I have just ordered another Sophia Global so I guess I recommend them.

These cartridges seem to work fine without messing up the printer. Print quality is lower than Canon ink edge of type is less crisp. Lower cost and lower quality but works fine for me.

I didn't get very good results from the black cartridge from this combo pack. I was disappointed and said so here.

Update: I found that this product has a 1 year warranty and I contacted the company about my short lived black cartridge. They replied promptly with a replacement cartridge. I'm tracking the usage I get out of this cartridge and will try to update this review when it runs out.

While the jury is out on this replacement cartridge I can't give anything less than 4 stars to a company with such good customer service.

We've had these installed for about 4 months and though we don't print a lot (maybe 5 pages per week) the ink is still going strong and looks great. As another user stated you will see a warning message about ink levels because they are re-manufactured but in the end everything worked just fine for us.

Well 2 of the colors leaked a lot when I opened the package. I ended up installing them with gloves on. If I was over the carpet I would have been pretty mad. Never had this happen with with Canon ink. Still gave it 3 stars as it seesm to work well once they were in.

I bought this ink for my Canon i550 printer. It was delivered in just as few days. As others have noted, neither the boxes the color cartridges come in nor the labels on the color cartridges themselves said they were for my Canon i550 printer. The box for the black cartridge did say it was for my i550. But after carefully examining each of the color cartridges themselves and comparing them to the depleted Canon cartridges that I still had, I determined they were effectively the same size and shape. So I installed them all. I should say at this point that I use my printer for text and printing pages off the internet. I rarely print digital photos, and I've not tried to print any with this ink. If I wanted to print some nice photos I'd use Canon's ink. That said, at first use of printing text I got some blotching as others have reported. There were also severe problems with missing all or some portions of lines of text. But I was able to clear that up by running the Canon nozzle cleaner utility and print head alignment routine. I believe the more important of these two was the print head alignment because when I did the alignment check it showed it was way off. After going step-by-step though my i550 printer's manual to re-align the printer head the print was very good. One final comment. After the printer has set for a week or more without use, it may have some difficulty printing text, but not as bad as prior to the head alignment. However, this problem clears-up after re-printing the initial page once, sometimes twice.

Bottom-line: It's really inexpensive ink, but it can do a pretty good job on basic printing. If it continues to work as well as it has I'll buy it again because the cost savings to me is worth the little bit of putsing around it occasionally requires.

These don't work at all. I printed out the same picture 3 times. One time, there was no color, another time, there was color but it was all washed out, third time, there were streaks across the whole picture. Then tried printing out a Google Maps web page, no color and barely readable. Tried the different cleaning options, none of which helped at all.
