I've had my share of printers over the years, and from various manufacturers as well.

We opted to go with the Lexmark x4690 because of it's wireless capabilities, and are pretty happy with its printing quality over all. The ability to have the printer on our home network, and accessible from any computer on the network is great.

However, with this unit taking such a specialized and pricey cartridge set, it's turned out to be a pretty expensive unit for ink. Granted, all inkjets are pricey when dealing with the ink cartridges... but this one has proven thus far, in my opinion, to be more so.

We don't do a huge amount of printing, but do use it several times a week for various two to three page docs. Nothing too crazy. But instead of running out of ink, we found that the black cartridge actually dried up, and we lost the use of the last half of the cartridge.

That was a first for me. Never had ink dry out on me like that. I was less than pleased.

We still feel the printer is worth while... but given the option to do it over again I'd be going with one of those sweet wireless routers with a USB port that allowed ANY printer to be found on a home network, and would opt for the printer with the best combination of quality and economy of ink.

The last two shipments of Lexmark #4 & #5 Black/Color Combo Pack. The quality of the ink is poor (watery) and comes out light view. I have return one set because my printer shows Unsupported cartrigge, Cartridge is not compatible with my printer. The quality is watery and comes out light. I will stopped buying from you. I had a hard time finding a twin pack #4 & #5 lexmark ink cartridge. Found it here for under $50 with free shipping. Still expensive because it doesn't last very long. But I couldn't find it anywhere else cheaper & it didn't hurt that amazon makes it so easy to order.

One of the black ink tanks they sent was defective, but they quickly responded and made things right!. They not only replaced the cartridge, but refuned the entire order. I'll order here again!

These ink cartridges are wonderful! I am not as afraid to print things now that I can get these at a reasonable price. The only concern I have is that the release lock is not quite as good as the original cartridge and took a bit more man power to get it out... but I got it out without breaking it or anything else. Again, I am very happy with this product.

This is not the first time I have order these cartridges. They come sealed in individual boxes with no sign of leakage. I ordered two sets of cartridges this time because I was very satisfied with the first set. I print few photos, but from the ones I have printed, the quality is very good for a re-manufactured product. And, as you must know, the price is significantly less than Canon. Very good product.

The yellow was completely off and the cyan wasn't recognized by my printer (MP600). It may be worth the purchase to test and maybe one or two cartridges will work, but a major disappointment. Too good to be true.

Reviews of Inktec Refill Kit for Canon PGI-5Bk(0628B002)

So far the ink has worked just as well as the more expensive name brand ink. This kit comes with everything you need to refill your ink cartridge. It contains 4 refills (2 in each tube).

I would say my first experience went smoothly, but I made a huge user error. I forgot to plug the hole in the bottom of the cartridge holder (it states to plug the hole in the instructions), and so my ink ran out the bottom. OOPS! Just don't forget to plug that hole and your work surface will stay ink free. If you don't want to read the written instructions InkTec has a video on YouTube. It helped me make up my mind to buy this set.

I've refilled several ink cartridges since then, and no spills. I only have 2 recommendations:

1) To get some plastic gloves. It comes with a set, but (if you are messy like me) you may just want to throw those away after the first use and have a new pairs handy for the following refills.

2) Get a chip resetter. You will need this if your printer cartridge has a chip. I have a Cannon MP500 so I needed one.

I haven't bought an ink cartridge from a retail store in over 4 years because they're way too expensive. This black cartridge goes with my HP Deskjet 694C. I have gone through numerous cartridges and for the most part it prints crystal clear. Some of the only drawbacks comes when its time to print large photographs with a lot of dark colors, as you might expect it uses an aweful lot of ink, especially when you have it on the highest quality settings, and sometimes it doesn't cover completely smooth, but really, most people use printers for text only, and with this cartridge it works great. One bad thing about this might be, when you are getting low on ink, it sometimes has a tendance to smear. Usually this is caused by dust or paper fiber which it has picked up, and it can be cleaned.

At first it did not work. It did not print. Then it started printing so I kept the cartridge.

I do not think it is the same quality I'm used to with a HP 29.

Will probably not be getting it again with Amazon.com.

After trying several brands of reprocessed ink cartridges for this obsolete printer and getting poor print quality I saw these on Amazon for a price that looked too good to be true. I ordered three #29 HP original cartridges and the printer came back to life.It is now back to being my workhorse unit for non-critical file work. I would recommend this seller to anyone as long as the cartridge supply holds out !

Was really disappointed with this product, should never have skimped on the Canon ones. Sure they are more money but they print how they should. Please avoid these, they don't perform how they should. I'm not getting full color print, just certain colors and it looks sketchy.

Cartridges arrived very quicklyand were in good condition. Print quality is pretty good but I noticed that printing is more visable on the reverse side of the page than it was with the Canon ink that came with the printer.

I print hundreds of pages of full color prints without batting an eye with these prices I don't worry about the cost of ink. The only issue I run into is that my Epson printer occasionally insists I am out of one of the ink colors. When that happens, I just cycle through the cartridge replacement procedure, lift out the cartridge in question and reset it, and the printer goes back to work. I think this is an issue with the printer, not this bulk ink system. I am willing to put up with the minor inconvenience since I am saving so much money on the ink.

I was disappointed because the picture and description do not match what I received. I was expecting to get ink that I could pour into my CISS that is connected to my Epson CX7400; instead I received four small bottles of ink and four syringes. Maybe I got the wrong order because I didn't intend to buy what they sent me. I can't comment on the quality of the ink just yet. And yes the ink will probably work in my CISS; however this isn't what I ordered.

I ended up throwing it away because the printing was not crisp. I ended up buying a Lexmark cartridge at the higher price because we had a report that had to have good print quality and this cartridge did not deliver it.

Ordered two cartridges. Installed the first one and it hardly made it thru the alignment phase before skipping. Tried to use the printer several times over three or four days, totally unsatisfactory. Replaced the cartridge with the second one ordered and the results were not much better. I recommend buying a new printer that uses cheaper cartridges available from new stock. That's what HP,Etal want us to do anyway right?

This was such a great price that I couldn't pass it up. However, the print quality of my printer has gone down since using this recycled cartridge and this never happened before. I used to get crystal clear print copies and now they look "smudged". For my purposes, it's fine but I would not recommend if you want to make a good impression. I'm not sure that I would buy these again.

I was a bit tentative about ordering three of these ink cartridges.

Why?

Price was half of the typical cost of real Epson ink.

Plus, in my buying experience, the colors of the ink did not affect the price.

Yet, I bought a Magenta for 9.90, a Matte Black for 9.99, and a Cyan for 15.99.

Add to that, I have a new Epson R 2000 which I love, the last thing I want to do is compromise the quality at this point.

This was a 3rd party seller, but having Amazon as the "Father Figure", I ordered.

Prime! Two days, Bingo! Here they were.

OK, REAL EPSON INK, SEALED VACUUM PACKED, but the two nine dollar plus inks had no boxes.

I opened one because I needed to replace anyway, and it was, absolutely, the same Epson ink. WHEW!

Happy as can be. I am guessing perhaps, they are not permitted to say: Without Box?

I don't know, but I will be happy to buy more from this seller in the future.

I wanted to use canon ink because I had a problem with another printer using off brand ink. But you know Canon stuf ain't cheap. When I saw this price for a 5 pack I figured there was a catch, but I'd try it once just to see.

What I got was 5 Canon cartridges just like I should have gotten. They were not in a regular box, just packed loose in a mailing envelope. But they were genuine, cheap and who cares how they're packed as long as they arrive in good condition, and they did.

I preint a lot of color so price and genuine Canon were BIG factors to me. When I'm ready fro my next order ... I'll get it from these guys.

I had a color laser AIO printer which was ruined by using one set of compatible ink. The drum now streaks and to repair/replace the drum would cost more than today's color lasers. So you might say "I learned the hard way".

I was leery of ordering this even though it said genuine because of its price. Well, it is genuine and I have absolutely no problems with it. This is my new place for ordering this ink set. The price even beats buying the ink on base by $20 when you include all 5 ink cartridges.

Don't pass this one up just because of its price!
