Review of HP 38 Light Gray Pigment Ink Cartridge in Retail Packaging
As inks go, this appears to be very good stuff. In fact, they say it's guaranteed to last 200+ years, although I'm not sure who around me will go ask for a free cartridge if my documents or photos only last 150 years. More to the point, it DOES look great.
On the other hand, these cartridges are around 30 bucks a piece and I need 8, so it rather irks me that the cartridges are so small. Perhaps that's a comment more appropriate for a review of the printer design, but it's worth noting here.
Also worth noting is that you SHOULD NOT immediately replace the ink cartridge in your HP B9180 when you get a message from it saying that this or that cartridge is about to run out. I say this because, when mine said that, I checked the little meter that tells you how much is left and it said 40% of the cartridge still had ink in it. 40%! To me, 40% is not "about to run out," but I did go ahead and buy an ink cartridge -I just held onto it until it really became obvious that it was no longer printing that color. Only then did I replace the cartridge, because doing otherwise is needlessly wasting money.
I'm not quite cynical enough to say that HP WANTS you to replace (and recycle) the ink cartridges prematurely, but it obviously would make them more money if you do. Just keep your eyes open and you'll be fine.
If you are cheap like me, buy empty tanks online and refill them with HP's 70 ink used for the Z2100 printers which comes to be $75/130ml. The HP no.70 tanks use the same inks but in a bigger tank.

Light Grey is the most used ink in my HP B9180. This cartridge has 27ml of ink selling for 27 dollars which is not bad. Canon's inks are around that price range as well but come in smaller 13ml tanks. Also do check the expiration date of the ink as the chip on the cartridge will yield a warning if the expiration date has been reached. So far expired inks has yield the same result as new inks with no fading for the past year.If you are cheap like me, buy empty tanks online and refill them with HP's 70 ink used for the Z2100 printers which comes to be $75/130ml. Cheap 12015SA & 12035SA Compatible Black Toner
Ordered this cartridge from Inkers. Opened the bag containing the cartridge and was greeted by a cloud of black toner. The cartridge was covered with toner. Being the optimist that I am, I dusted it off and mounted it into my printer. The printer software notified me that the cartridge is defective. Waiting to hear from Inkers about a refund as I had to purchase another cartridge at Office Max at more than double the price.

Reviews of ND TM Brand Dinsink: 4X10OZ refill ink kit for HP 45 HP 78 ink
The instructions suck, however the vendor responded immediately to my query. Information was missing and the kit did not include the promised plug for the black cartridge. Vendor ignored my comments to improve the instructions, no skin off my nose. Vett the internet for the cartridge of your usage and you will find good videos from other vendors for filling your cartridges. This is three times the ink I've received for the same price in the past. We will probably never use it up. Great value for the money.

HP makes the best cartridges in the world. This is one reason why the ink-jet and design-jet line of printers helped make HP the leading seller. And, those who know quality ink never settle for refills with non-OEM ink, or buy re-manufactured cartridges. This generous 69 ml cartridge is quality all the way. At these low prices for outdated cartridges that still give 100% performance, you'd want to buy an HP printer just so you could print for the lowest cost possible.Monday, July 14, 2014

In Summary: By far the BEST refillable continuous ink supply system available !
(My team dedicates this review in celebration of having saved thousands of dollars in ink-costs thanks to this highly practical CISS system. Our intent is to give you and others an equal opportunity to save BIG on ink costs! We have no affiliations with Epson, nor the ink cartridge seller. Just trying to do the right thing and pass forward a good experience...)
Background:
My business is producing large quantities of personal planners which requires a 1) cheap / 2) reliable / and 3) user-friendly printing solution.
Hence, after an extensive 2-month research, my team concluded that this particular set of refillable ink cartridges for the Epson WP 4020 / WP 4530 / and WP 4540 printers scored particularly high on our evaluation list. (see bottom list of compatible Epson printers)
Here is WHY:
CAPACITY: these 100ML cartridges are HUGE and it takes a couple of thousand pages before refilling. Mark my words: these cartridges last a looooooooong time.
CONVENIENCE: If you have seen a CISS how-to installation video guide on You.Tube, you will conclude that it takes a lot of rather complex installation work to make a standard CISS system work (if it does not break during the install). THESE CARTRIDGES ARE EQUIVALENT TO A CISS SYSTEM BUT WITHOUT THE PAIN of installing them. For some fortunate (!) reasons, Epson has design a plug-&-play cartridge refill solution for its three WP 4020/4530/4540 printers (cartridge tanks supply ink to the print-head via a 15-inch tube instead of being placed on-top of the print-head itself which is exactly how CISS systems work)
$$$ SAVINGS: We purchased each of the three Epson WP models listed below each of them having the CISS cartridges installed. These printers are running at times 12 hours shifts without the need to refill ink. Instead, every 2000 pages we auto-reset the cartridge chips by removing and re-inserting them. Without exaggeration, these cartridges have paid back the original cost 10-fold in a short amount of time compared to purchasing the original refill cartridges. Hence, we gladly purchased these CISS cartridges for all three printers.
QUALITY: Most printers that we tested (and eventually returned) during our 2-month analysis have failed in the areas of quality and speed. These Epson WP printers live up to their promise: producing thousands of pages in good quality and with a minimum of paper jams. (Tip: if not in a rush, use "quiet mode" which will add an additional boost in quality)
SPEED: One of our favorite features of the WP printers is the automatic double-sided printing which has enabled us to generate very large batch jobs of collated pages with the click of the 'print-button' :). Note: we use basic PDF and PowerPoint files to generate the batch-print jobs and let the printers auto-assemble the completed packages. The Epson WP printers provide 3 speed levels, out of which we prefer normal speeds for an optimum quality/speed balance.
EASY AUTO-RESET CHIPS: resetting the cartridge chips is as easy as connecting two circuit points with a paper-clip or staple on the chip for 5 to 7 seconds. Note: the occasional "cartridge not recognized" message for one of the 4 colors is easily resolved by a second cartridge chip auto-reset trial.
SIMPLE FIRST-TIME SETUP: Because each of the 4 cartridges are connected to the print-head via 15-inch Epson-built ink tubes, it is important to "prime" the cartridges meaning to remove the air from the tubes.
There are two easy options for priming the cartridges: You either run an Epson software based head-cleaning a couple of times or you use one of the supplied syringes to extract the ink. Option A is less messy, but takes a a few more minutes equivalent to a coffee break :)
[!] ATTENTION: EASY, BUT CRUCIAL THING TO WATCH OUT FOR ...
----------------------------------------------
As much as we would like to praise Epson for its outstanding new WP printer models, the automatic "Firmware software upgrade" that pops up when you install the drivers is a trap [!] and MUST BE DECLINED as we suspect that the goal is to actually modify chip configurations and block the non-Epson cartridges. WHAT TO DO? --Just decline the upgrades and de-install then re-install driver software in the worst case...
There is a lot more that we could write about, such as that the 400ML Pigment Ink itself that comes with the cartridges has a value of above $40... But for the interest of YOUR TIME, we conclude this review with the list of our compatible Epson WP printer models that are available on Amazon. (see below)
Compatible Epson printer models (note: all printers are the SAME, except the 4020 has only the printing feature, whereas the 4530 and 4540 come with LCD screens and fax/scanner features. The 4540 has an addition paper tray but is not worth the extra $100 unless in an office environment)

Reviews of Refurbished HP 920 printhead for Officejet 6000 6500 6500A 7000
HP should have done a recall on that printer, since I'm seeing this problem all over the Internet. You put in a new black ink cartridge and the printer still thinks it's empty. Tried everything, but this finally fixed the problem. I wasn't expected much from a refurbished print head, but it works fine, and costs a lot less than a new one.

I ordered this to try to repair our HP6500 printer. When I opened the box, I found the "refurbished" printhead wrapped loosely in a plastic bag and with wet ink all over the electronic contacts. I wiped it off and installed anyway, because we badly needed our printer to work again. The printhead did not solve the problem (I can't say for sure that the printer problem was with the printhead, but given the condition of the refurbished one, I was skeptical that it would work). I filed a complaint about the ink-covered printhead, but never heard back. Goodbye $45, hello new Epson printer.Monday, April 28, 2014

These really last. It's been saying "low toner" for over a month, but as soon as I see a faded area on a page, I take it out shake it from side to side, then up and down (vertically) and when I put it back in it prints perfectly. This is a home office, and we probably don't print heavily, but it's lasting much longer than the standard yield cartridge.

The seller was terrific; I got the product very soon after ordering, professionally packaged for shipping, the whole 9 yards.
The product itself is easy to use (directions are included), but the ink is not the best quality. If you have a 'before refill' and an 'after refill' printout you can clearly see how the refill ink is lighter colored and more prone to streaking. If you intend to just print out single-use things (directions, funnies from the web, etc) it's a great way to save money. I wouldn't use the refill ink for things like family photos, though.
The instructions were very clear. I had expected that for so low a price I'd get instructions written in Engrish, but I was pleasantly surprised. The squeeze bottle that the ink comes in is very cleverly designed to be put underneath the cartridge to hold it in the proper position while the ink soaks in. The drill tool is also very clever and I will hang onto it so that I can use it for crafts. My only disappointment is that there are only 1-2 refills in each kit, but I would gladly buy this kit again (and probably will!) I can't wait to try the color one next, as soon as my current color cartridge runs out of ink!
I refilled the ink within 5minutes and had the printer back up and functioning perfectly!
The printer still says "black ink low", but I don't pay attention to it and it does not effect the printing as I use it as our network printer at home.
A big plus also is I still have 1/2 the bottle left for another refill!
This definitely beats the $30 retail price of a whole new cartridge!
My first thoughts were that the instructions were in ENGLISH and not translated poorly from another language. They were clear, concise, and accurate so there was no mistaking what you were supposed to do.
Second, the ink comes with nice syringe type applicators with rubber caps so you can safely store the unused ink.
Lastly, I have a few suggestions that make life a little easier. The directions tell you to remove the label from the top of the cartridge. The sticker is difficult to get peeled up and ends up coming off as little pieces. To avoid this, get a razor blade, sharp knife or something similar and CAREFULLY slide it under the edge of the label. You will be able to easily peel the label up and get a good hold on it to pull it off in one peice.
Also, don't use the included drill bit unless you absolutely have to. There is the risk that you can get plastic particles into the cartridge and cause problems. Granted I do not know how much of an issue this is but i would rather be on the safe side. Use a paper clip, awl, or small screw driver heated over a flame to melt the hole larger. Doing this causes the plastic to get pushed up so you will need to trim this off using a rasor blade so the hole is flush again.
After filling, I printed a picture to test the ink and it came out beautifully. I cannot see the difference between this and the orignial cartridge. The price Can't be beat either. I got two of each of the color and black refill kits and it only cost me $30 shipped to my door in 3 days.
I would highly recommend this product!!!!
And the printer will show 'low ink' for any refill, even if full, so do expect to see the message.

I can never get anything fiddly done while my kids are awake, so imagine my surprise when I was able to successfully refill not one, but TWO ink cartridges while tending to my kids! I refilled the just-emptied cartridge from my printer and an older one that had been dead for a long time. The dead one came back to life after I put a little Windex in the bottom of a plastic container and let the print head soak in it for about 10 minutes. The "only mostly dead" cartridge just needed a couple of head cleaning cycles to get roaring back into life. The instructions were very clear. I had expected that for so low a price I'd get instructions written in Engrish, but I was pleasantly surprised. This was my first refill kit I have ever bought.I refilled the ink within 5minutes and had the printer back up and functioning perfectly!
The printer still says "black ink low", but I don't pay attention to it and it does not effect the printing as I use it as our network printer at home.
A big plus also is I still have 1/2 the bottle left for another refill!
This definitely beats the $30 retail price of a whole new cartridge!
Honest reviews on Black Ink Refill Kit for Canon PG210 PG-30 PG-37 PG-40 PG-50 PG-510
I just purchased this ink refill kit as well as the color kit (921-trio) to refill my canon mp-160 printer cartridges. This is my first time refilling cartridges and I have to say that it was an excellent experience. Total time to fill both cartridges was about 15 minutes, 10 of which was getting set up at the table and making sure I didn't make a mess.My first thoughts were that the instructions were in ENGLISH and not translated poorly from another language.

If you do not print much, new cartridges dries up after a few months anyway, so why spend the $20? I cannot say how many pages this refill will allow you to print due to my low usage, but its good to have a printer ready on standby for emergencies. It is very easy to implement. Do not get intimidated by even the instruction sheet, which tells you to have gloves, newspapers and towels ready. It takes a few minutes. The hardest part will be removing and installing the catridge, which you need to do anyway with a new one.And the printer will show 'low ink' for any refill, even if full, so do expect to see the message.

This is the same HP product previously purchased in stores but at a much better price ! There's something very wrong with the system when you can purchase a decent printer for less than the new ink cartridges for your old one !!Best Deals for HP C9353FN Ink Cartridge Combo Pack
I ordered ink cartridges and I got ink cartridges. They are the same model I ordered and they work in my printer as expected.
