Up until recently I've had good luck with my Canon compatible ink tanks. Not so much so with HP laser compatibles. I have already swithced to the more expensive Genuine HP product because the compatibles were messing up my printers. Not worth the savings. Now I seem to be having the same trouble finding compatible ink that works well for my dinosaur non-chipped ink tank canon printers. It is definately worth the extra cost to go genuine, beats replacing print heads prematurly due to running cheap ink through them.

I used to just buy new printers every year or two because it used to be that the ink was so expensive that you were just as well off buying new printers, not to mention that the resolution of the printer was changing to much. We bought our most recent printer about 3 years ago now. A canon injet. It's done nothing short of excellent when printing reports, photos, wedding save-the-dates, and anything else we've thrown at it. It still prints like it's brand new and a lot of that success should be attributed to the ink cartridges doing their job right. This is probably the 10th time we've bought ink for the little workhorse and none of the brink and mortar shops near us even come close to amazon's prices on canon brand ink for our printer.

Certainly cheaper than getting it directly from the manufacturer. I haven't had any smearing/smudging with it. It seems to last just as long as any other official Canon tank I've purchased.

This cartridge works fine in my Primera Technology 63703 Bravo Pro CD/DVD Publisher Burn & Print CD-r/DVD-rs 16X/32X USB, but is fairly expensive. There does not seem to be a generic cartridge on the market.

I have avoided doing full coverage lables, so these tend to last me 600 or so discs.

Recommended, since there really isn't any alternative :-)

Non-Oem Empty Refillable Auto Reset Ink Cartridges Inkjet With Auto Reviews

Good News! It does work, and it is much cheaper that buying Epson inks.

Bad News, you get what you paid for meaning that it takes time to prep the cartridges for refill and use.

Smell:

Unlike the Epson ink, this ink has a strong "Windex" smell and takes a little longer to dry.

Refilling:

It's actually easy. There are two plugs located on each cartridge, a colored one, and a transparent one. Remove the colored one to refill the ink. After injecting the ink into the cartridge, replace the colored tag and remove the transparent plug before installing it into the printer. Then I recommend cleaning the head, then aligning the head. (Standard ink jet maintenance features.) then I would let the cartridge sit in the printer over night before I start printing. If you start printing right away, it'll streak, or colors may be missing from the print out. I assume that air bubbles in the cartridge are responsible for that. Allowing it to sit over night allows time for the air bubbles to leave the cartridge, and you will have streak free printing.

If you want hassle free ink, then I'd recommend buying the Epson inks. If saving money is a higher priority, then I'd recommend this ink. Just remember to keep the windows open because the ink has a very strong windex smell to it.

I gave this a product four stars due to the lack of care that was taken when the shipper packed the goods. Other than that the item works as advertised. I have had the product now five weeks and no problems with the printer rejecting the ink cartridge. Also the quality of ink is fair for the price.

I'll let Yellow bear the brunt of my complaint about all the other colors of HP ink it runs out too fast. Even when printing in Black and White, I'll see the dreaded message that it's time to change the yellow/cyan/magenta cartridge. These work perfectly. You will not be disappointed. Just make sure you put the fill plugs in the fill hole and not in the vent hole, they are both the same size. The vent hole is the one closest to the end with the color sticker.

After installing the color cartridge in an HP Photosmart D110 it stopped working after a couple of weeks. The company replaced the two I bought with two identical color cartridges but those also stopped working after a few weeks (consumed 5 grams of ink out of 20 grams). The printer/copier/scanner constantly gave an error signal that an incompatible cartridge was installed and only the black cartridge could be used. I had to order the more expensive HP brand cartridge ultimately.

This should be the correct print pack for PictureMate 200 series printers. If you have a PictureMate Pal, Snap, or Flash printer, you can order EITHER T5846 for 150 glossy prints or T5845-M for 100 matte prints.
