I know that everyone has heard this rant before, but here I go again...

When are we going to wise up, as consumers, and rebel against this nonsense.

These manufactures attract us with the cheap upfront hardware costs, and then you are on the hook for their proprietary ink cartridges which they then sell at higher prices than the original equiment.

In addition, the cartridges they ship the hardware with are all low volume, so after literately 10 pages of printed text you are out of ink.

The only way I can fight back is angry letters to the manufactures and rating their products low.

The cartages work well in my printer and print as well as the lexmark inks do in my opinion, However they are not as sturdy as Lexmark catrages one of the blue cartrages had exploded or leaked some where in transit when i received the package it looked alright from the outside so I put it down onto my white rug to get the scissors to open the package, needles to say in the mean time the ink has leaked from the inside box onto the outside box and in turn onto the rug in the apartment that I RENT! I am also pretty blue from the clean up efforts.

Needless to say in the end this product is going to end up costing me a great deal more then it would have cost me to just spend the extra few dollars and get the real stuff......

The first item I received would not be recognized by the printer. I contacted the company (inkxpro), and they immediately sent me a replacement at no charge after going over some basic troubleshooting with the initial unit over the phone.

Over the life of this ink supply system, I expect that it will save me hundreds of dollars in ink cartridges. The print quality is excellent (can't tell any difference between this system and the OEM cartridges). First time I've used a device like this but I'd highly recommend it.

Product was easy to install, with very simple instructions. The inclusion of the accessories for installation (gloves, etc.) made the process much better than if I'd had to come up with those things on my own. Be aware that since the system uses large external ink tanks, you will need to have room next to your printer for the tanks to sit, and you will have a four-tube ink line running into your printer.

Overall very happy.

Discount Brother LC51 Compatible Color 3 Pack Ink Cartridges for MFC 230C

I was really skeptical of using non-OEM cartridges since I've read about bad experiences from other people. However, since printer cartridges can be so expensive and my finances aren't getting any better, I decided to try it for once. I got this pack for my printer and tried it.

I did not have any trouble with the cartridges on my brother mfc-240c printer and the quality was comparable to the OEM ones. I just noticed that sometimes (once every six months or so), the printer would say I have no more ink when I could still hear a significant amount inside the cartridge. I solved this problem by sticking masking tape at the back of the cartridge where you could see the ink level. I suppose they have some laser light technology thing to check the ink level. Anyway, I got to squeeze out every drop (or most of it) of ink out of the cartridge.

I would estimate that these cartridges run out 25% faster than the OEM ones, but at this price, I could buy three times the OEM, so it not only balances out but also goes into savings.

The description heading for this offer specifically lists the [brother MFC]465CN printer, directly implying that this product is compatible with and will work in that model. While the cartridges offered may work in the other listed models and may work just fine, they will NOT fit in the cartridge compartments of the MFC465CN and cannot be installed. I recently purchased two orders from two different providers, and in both cases the descriptions listed my 465CN as being able to use these cartridges. Fortunately, both providers have refunded my modest purchase prices to Amazon, but the original problem remains: someone is giving incorrect and misleading information regarding compatibility. It's obvious that not all LC51 "compatible" cartridges are created equal. Since some shoppers will look only at their printer model listed in the original offer heading, they may wind up with cartridges they cannot use and have to face printing delays and the possible headache of handling the mixup. Personally, I offer kudos to Vivamart and Greattoners for their prompt handling of my situation, but I might have been lucky -this time.

This is a different size than the original OEM cartridge, so I was not sure at first if it will work. The delivered cartridge is slimmer than it's picture on Amazon when you buy. That confused me in thinking that I got a wrong product. I checked with the suppliers customer support. He suggested that I try. I did, and then took the test print. Printer accepted it and I got all the colors. One thing that I don't know yet is if the ink will dry up faster than the OEM version. I am not sure if the ink will clog the printer head. So, will update this review in 2-3 months. It works fine to start with.

You can't beat the price and I haven't had any trouble with leaking like I did with some other cheap ink cartridges. I don't know why you'd want to spend any more money on cartridges from an office store.

the containers leak and I managed to get one color and one black to work out of the pack. Thus i wasted 18 dollars. You have 90 days to return but since I didn't try them right away I am just out of money.. andnow can't print.

The problem with the February 2010 review (below) is that the rating should have been directed towards the vendor selling the item, not the item itself. I ordered this item from "attiger3" and it was genuine Canon ink cartridges in one of those impossible to open plastic clamshell packages. I was going to submit a photo, but it looks exactly like the one shown with the item.

I have always used Canon ink in my Canon printers. The one time I didn't, the knock-off cartridges literally killed my printer. To me, Canon's product is superior to other manufacturers. Photos printed a number of years ago are still bright and clear with no discernable fading, even after being exposed to bright light.

A word of advice: if you select another vendor other than "attiger3", send them an email via Amazon and simply ask them if the item is genuine Canon. That's a pretty simple thing to do.

I was looking for genuine Canon ink cartridges. these are some generic brand NOT Canon. No where in the literature does it say that it is not OEM or Canon. The only place is on the packing slip and invoice -after it's too late. you already paid for it.

I would give a -1 star.

I have been having trouble finding the Canon ink cartridges BCI-24 that walmart used to carry for our canon pixma 1500 printer. Thought I'd try these for the price. Just put one in a couple of days ago and it works great....can't see any difference from the name brand as far as results. I did see reviews of this product on other sites, and it had some less than perfect reviews, but I will definitely buy this product again, now that I see how well it is working, and it is also a pretty good value....with shipping...comes to about only $5 each. The volume of ink is the same as the name brand, also, which is 9.5 ml. Don't know if that was stated in the product details before I ordered it, but I think I did a closeup of the box and saw it, which helped in my decision to try the product. It worked great for me and I recommend that you try it!

I was having trouble sending power over this cable. So if you're trying to power something at the end of it..use caution. Won't break anything..it just won't work if the current is too high. I was powering a Dropcam..and this just doesn't work for that.
