I received 6 HP75XL cartridges, the first one I installed (which was CB338W no ending in the letter N) was found to be incompatible with my HP Photosmart C5280. So now, I have 5 more cartridges unopened in their boxes, stating they are CB338WN. Apparently, if they don't end in N they will be incompatible with my printer. I'm not sure what to do. Do I open them (remove the opaque plastic wrap) as I go?, hoping not to find cartidges missing the N ending/ thus incompatible? Do you send me cartridges that are confirmed to end in N? You tell me. Needless to say, I am very unsatisfied with being placed in this position. mr

These cartridges have worked well for me, but recently HP has rejected remanufactured cartridges. I had been using one of these cartridges for a few months with only occassional printing. Then out of the blue, I got a message on my screen from HP that said; "Incompatible Ink Cartridge".

HP is now monitoring the printing and the ink cartridges installed in the HP printers for authentication to see that the ink cartridges are true HP cartridges.

I had to go out and buy new HP ink cartridges to get my printer working again. I think that is unfair. Think if you bought a new Ford automobile, but had to drive to a Ford dealer to buy only Ford gasoline to run it on.

These cartridges are great, but HP is making it difficult to use anything other than new HP cartridges.

I have an older HP all in one that wants the HP15. I am always thinking about ditching it for a better printer, and thus elected not to spend the dollars on the real HP cartridge, which as a geek, I would normally recommend. There are all sorts of reasons to do this if you have the money, but we all know there are all sorts of budgetary constraints in the real world as well. So far I am quite pleased with this. If I have issues, I WILL update this review. For now output is so near to original HP that I recommend this product.

The product description on Amazon says it's NEW COMPATIBLE, however, the box I received says Remanufactured. I'm not sure what difference this makes, but I think the Amazon description should be updated.

The product was shipped and arrived in a few days.

I've printed several pages so far and the bottom part of random lines are not printing. I'll contact Databazaar and update this review if they resolve the problem. Right now, 1 star.

Update: I contacted Databazaar and they had good customer service and promptly sent out another cartridge (still remanufactured) and I did not have to return the first one. I haven't tried the new one yet, that can be for another update. So now I'll give this 4 stars at least for the company's fast service and helpful person who got the new one out for me.

This company has figured out what good customer service is ... and their products are very reasonably priced. I purchased 2 HP 15 ink cartridges and had a problem with the first one I installed (the printer would not recognize it). When I called customer service, we decided to try the second cartridge and it worked fine, so they quickly told me they would send a replacement for the one that had failed. No hassles, no long hold times; just good customer service that did the right thing w/o having to be asked. Anyone can sell stuff, but it is how a company responds when there is a problem that really counts. I would do business with them again.

Great product, I think it's best to use the brand name cartridges, whenever I use the off brand ink cartridges the printer doesn't lasts long, or problems come up. I have learned my lesson.

So far, the cartridge has worked really well. The ink quality has been good, although it did take me cleaning the cartridge about 4 times before I could see the yellow ink. I tend to not use my color ink very quickly in my printer and the generic cartridges I've bought before tend to dry up -the jury is still out on this one. Hopefully it will last a bit longer. I'm trying to remember to at least print one color page a week to prevent them from drying out.

Not much more you can say but you get what you pay for, if you want to buy off the brand then do so with those words in mind and just don't be surprised if the few dollars cheaper results in less printing time available.

I had no problem with the black installment. Now on the other hand, the color cartrage was reading a bit low on the HP leveler. I may or may not order these next time , I have to wait and see how long they will last.I use my printer 1-3 times a week at my bisest time printing from 1-6 pages if that' about 9 -11 days a month... you can do the math around that.

This was a re-order and they changed the entire kind of packaging and cartridge that comes with them. They are generic looking nothing like this picture and I bought it for the Pixma MP780 which was listed as compatible and they are NOT they sent me RC instead of BCI ink cartridges. When I called them they re-sent them and they were still wrong.

Now I have to pull them out of my printer because they are screwing up my pics.

mail-order 3rd-party ink cartridges are hit and miss from my experience.

These worked fine, but that's no guarantee that they'd be manufactured with the same quality 6 months from now.

The inks are vibrant and transfer well.

We do a ton of thermoplastics with custom transfers. We found these guys by blind luck, tried their inks and have since ordered again (as I write this, I actually need to place another order).

I read several reviews before I bought the cartridges. I was ready for the black cartridge not to be correct, but it was. I was ready for the cartridges to be leaking when I got them, but they were not. I was ready for the cartridges to leak as you opened them, and the first one did. You have to hold the cartridge up right and open slowly. Other than that, I have had no problems. My prints have come out just the same as they did with the cartridges that came with the machine. I am very happy with the product.

There is a yellow tape flap that says to pull it off on it. Don't do this, you don't need to. It covers a hole that doesn't need to be open. I'm assuming it is there for an air intake, but the OEM ink cartridges do not have this hole. If you open it ink will get everywhere, believe me. Leave the tape flap on there an all will work well.

This is an awesome budget friendly alternative to the OEM cartdriges. Figured if I would've bought 10 OEM cartridges from @ $11.99 a piece, I would've been looking at a bill of $119.90. However 10 of the LD cartridges only ran $31.99. Box came shipped via USPS. Placed the order February 27, received in good condition on March 4th. Cartridges come individually boxed and vacuum sealed. There is a vent hole at the top that you need to remove a piece of tape off of, need to be careful you don't get any ink on yourself when you take it off. Installation into my MFC-255CW was easy, just remove the old ones and push the cartridge in firmly until it clicks into place. Ink quaility itself is good. This is my first trial with the LD © Brother Compatible LC61 Bulk Set of 10 Ink Cartridges: 4 Black & 2 each of Cyan / Magenta / Yellow and so far I am pleased.

These aren't any better than the other off brands. The first set I used leaked. Cleaned that up, put in another set. Leaked again. I'm tossing the rest. I'll stick with Brother brand from now on just to save myself the hassle of cleaning up the mess and buying new printers every time you try to print.

I have just begun to use this cartridge, so I can only say that it has worked well for about a dozen or so printouts at this time. I should point out that although under the Product Description it does state "Brand NEW!", these are in fact REMANUFACTURED and says so on the cartridge box itself, hence the low price. REMAN cartridges from other vendors are similarly priced, so these are likely comparable to the rest of them. Shipping was very fast to me, so that's a good thing if you're basically out of ink for your printer. Since at this point in time, I am pleased overall as far as pricing and performance is concerned, I am giving this 5-stars. I hope this is helpful to you.

With 18mL it should print out about 750 pages. I have no idea if the numbers I had quoted to me, though, are right. The problem is the little bar that appears whenever you print something hasn't even gone down 25% and I've had this cartridge for almost two months. Its definitely a real wallet saver for me since I'm a student in college and the nearest store selling cartridges is as far away as the nearest cartridge world, which I personally love but haven't gotten to see a lot of recently. Both would've required bus commutes, but the 74XL (which is noticeably sticks out farther than the regular 74 and weighs a whole lot more) has not failed me yet. For now I would encourage anyone lucky enough to have a printer that works with an 18mL cartridge like this to get one. And anyone in the market for a new printer should seriously consider checking to make sure there's isn't only compatible with a dinky 5mL one that will get you around 200 pages before going poof.

As I mentioned for the HP 75XL inkjet cartridge is the same for this one (black ink only) get the larger size AND HP brand inks for better quality and to allow for quantity printing. The smaller cartridges just don't cut it in terms of the number of pages it can print before running out. And save by buying it through Amazon, unless you can find a local retailer with better savings I sure couldn't and am glad I checked with Amazon right away.

I have an HP Photosmart C4480 all-in-one printer. I've used it for years and have had absolutely no problem with ink cartridges until now. With this "HP" 74xl from Vivamart I managed to coax one page through, but it took a couple of false starts and several pauses. After that one page, the printer stopped recognizing the cartridge all together. I put back a REAL HP cartridge and it worked perfectly. I'm surprised HP allows their logo to be used in the picture on Amazon, and if they don't allow it, I'm surprised Amazon is allowing it! If you want to try it, be prepared for the hassle of a return.

Apparently it's not possible to give no stars, so I had to give one. The product doesn't deserve it.

Update: In an effort to read other reviews on this item, I tried, but failed, to find one sold by Vivamart, the Amazon vendor from which I purchased mine. It appears you can order what looks like an HP product, but may actually be from any number of non-HP vendors. If this is true, the reviews could be from many different products, rendering them useless. I would like Amazon to explain this. I'm loath to order this type of item from Amazon now.

BTW: The cartridge itself is labeled "Remanufactured Inkjet Cartridge". It does not include "HP", but only "74xl". In case I wasn't clear above, my intention was to buy a new HP cartridge, and the Amazon page gave no indication that it was anything otherwise.

I purposely paid a couple dollars extra to get a "retail packaged" cartridge in a box as shown in the photo for this item. I received a cartridge in plastic pouch with no box. It was mailed in a bubble wrap envelope. The cartridge works OK, and my printer recognized it as a genuine HP cartridge.

It's worth purchasing the XL version of the HP 74 print cartridge, rather than the standard size. It's three times the size of the standard one, and doesn't cost three times as much.

Also, you can often find package deals including the color (75) XL cartridge and the black XL cartridge for around $60. Buying individual regular size cartridges just isn't a wise idea, considering they often cost around $30. (why buy two regulars for $60 when you can buy two XL's for the same price?)

Just make sure to buy a NEW cartridge, not a remanufactured one. Choose a seller with a high rating and low prices. I purchased a package deal recently through ANTOnline, and was amazed with how fast it came (using only regular shipping).
