I bought this for my old brother printer. It is not worth it to buy the factory brand nor any other when I can the buy the cheap stuff. Obviously it's not as good as the real stuff, but it comes pretty darn close and for the price, who cares? Worth every penny.

The ink arrived on time, I found the ink to be dried up, I check the printer with another ink to ensure it was working and it did work correctly. I really was disjointed as I always try to write good reviews.

Discount Performance Plus Remanufactured HP45 Black Inkjet Cartridge
The test sheet worked fine, but the next time we used it the cartridge literally came apart spilling ink all over the printer. It was impossible for us to clean out the old HP 660 so we ended up throwing the printer away! I don't think I will try generic again....
The price is good compared to an original HP ink cartridge, of course, but had it only been real black...

Ink does not dry quickly, which is no big deal unless your in a hurry. This product is worth the $6 and not a penny more. Used this cartridge around 15 prints when I received it, and the print was scanny (ink missing in places), but got worse the more I used it. Didn't use the printer for a few weeks and when I did, the print was hit and miss to the point where you couldn't read a complete sentence, let alone the print being faded. I took the cartridge out, shook it up and that was the end of it. Now it won't work AT ALL! I've done this many times with HP brands when they are running low on ink and never did my printer STOP working. I've purchased remanufactured brands before and have never had one that was crappy from purchase. Think I'll just pay the extra money and stick to HP, which I know is top quality, and amazon has a great price for them too! New HP 45 was accepted by my printer, but every fourth line had a small blank line run through it. Replaced it with a new cartridge from an earlier purchase(not purchased through Amazon). Printer works well now.Friday, October 10, 2014

Bought this ink refill system over a year ago and I am still printing strong! I use my printer almost daily and I do a fair amount of high-volume print jobs. The cost of this system is very reasonable...under $50 for pre-filled cartridges and bulk ink refill bottles that will refill the reusable cartridges at least 8 times before you have to buy more ink. The cartridges can be used over and over because they come with an Auto Reset Chip on each cartridge. When the ink is out, my printer will tell me which cartridge needs to be refilled. I remove that cartridge, refill it, and snap back into its cartridge slot and can continue printing just as if I had a continuous ink supply. By the way, this company has a Continuous Ink Supply System for most of the major printers sold today. If you don't see yours, just contact them and ask about availability.I am currently using this product and it works great in my printer but I am thinking about upgrading to a CISS for my Epson printer. Best Hewlett Packard 99 Photo Inkjet Print Cartridge Deals
Printing from photoshop elements 3 (both the organizer portion and the editing portion) produced an image that was very close to the screen colors of my calibrated screen. I'm using a laptop which I calibrated with photocal. I chose the correct paper and ink setup in the driver AND made sure to go into printer properties and select for the application to manage color. The prints matched the screen...no problem.(including skintones) The cartridge also includes a plastic cover to cover up the nozzle when you store it. So you can change out cartridges all you want, just put the cover on it and things will be fine.
Now, to the negatives....the cartridge is small, and the default driver setting is for something called colorsmart color matching. ugh....hideous. Set it for the program to handle it instead. I have no idea how many 8x10 prints I'll get out of this cart, but I've printed about 20 so far today.
FWIW, I didn't use HP's image editing software since I own elements. These settings worked like a champ in elements, but I have no idea about how other programs will work. This was also with a hp2710 all in one printer.
Printing from RAW (NEF actually) files with a 96 and 97 combination gave me skin tones that were too heavily red saturated. This is less of an issue with JPEG files.
I generally had to go into the levels tool in Photoshop and pull back the reds some for most portraits. Not so with the 99 cartridge in place.
We'll see how many prints I can squeeze out of one of these.
Frankly I see this as a stop gap solution for photo printing. Printers that use multicolor ink cartridges waste a lot of ink when used as dedicated photo printers.
As soon as I can put together the dough I plan to add an Epson 2400 and use it strictly for photography.
Ink will never be cheap but at least when I run out of red I won't be throwing away what's left of two other colors.
Still this does expand the usefulness of compatible HP printers.

I was unhappy with the results with the 'six color' printing that occurs when you swap this cartridge for the no. 94 (black) cartridge. I put this in my machine (HP6210) and printed a test on HP paper. I printed a second picture when a put the no. 94 cartridge back (in effect making it a 'four color' device, which is what you would normally have in the printer). The same picture looked better when printed with the four colors. Most notable were the flesh tones-MUCH more lifelike. I would hold off on spending $24 for one of these, primarily because the result is not worth it, but also because the manner which HP designs the ink set-up. I think Canon makes the best printer for the money. But it seems as though most Canon printers drink ink crazy. So in order to make owning a Canon printer sensible from a cost stand point finding ink that won't drain your bank account is a must.
I used ink cartridges from LD for my Canon MP530 for several years with only two cartridges having failed me in that time. Considering the cost difference between Canon ink cartridges and LD ink cartridges that is a record I will gladly accept.
Now it seems that my New Canon MG6320 drinks ink faster than my MG530 used to so I turned to LD once again to save on the cost.
There is no noticeable difference in quality when printing documents between The Canon brand ink and the LD ink. My printer uses the CLI-251 series cartridges for most color printing. Once again I can find no noticeable difference between Canon and LD inks regarding quality.
I will continue to use LD inks for my Canon printer for as long as LD continues to provide quality ink cartridges at a good value.

From what I've been able to determine, the 61 cartridge isn't high yield, while the 65 is.
We just changed the first ink cartridge on our mfc6490cw. I've been printing mainly with black, but also did about 300 very small (2"x3") photos with lots of sky. We managed 700 copies on the first black cartridge as far as I can tell. Cyan is at 50% and magenta and yellow don't really show as being low yet. The machine has been beeping for the last week warning us black was low, but only today did it quit printing due to lack of ink. The last page it did was as good as the first, so I have to wonder exactly how low that ink was when it quit on us. At any rate: we had no wasted prints from low ink and it was nice enough to tell us it had stopped. Can't say that with the HP at work!

I print a lot I mean a LOT and can go through a regular ink cartridge in less than two weeks. The high-yield cartridge lasts me over a month, and I print at least half a ream of paper per day, including graphics, photos, and other ink-eating documents. I only use the Brother OEM parts, because refills or generic brands can gum up the machine and will void the warranty. I bought my BROTHER MFC-6490-CW printer for the 11" X 17" printing feature, which I use often. Had I known the cost per page factor, due to the cost of ink, I would NOT have purchased it. While it has a nice feature in that you can change any of the CMYK cartridges one color at a time, I am changing far to frequently. All of my other printers seemed to get 2 3 times as many pages per cartridge than this one. The cost for cartridges is modest, but I am changing them monthly now, and I most often don't print more than a half dozen color 8.5 x 11" pages a week! A typical cartridge will only get about 30 pages (8.5 X 11). The K will get more, but who can afford buying ink this often? Not me Never again, Oh Brother, I am paying too much. Well, the first time I bought this product I thought it was great.. cheaper ink and all. But it always showed the low ink sign from the moment I installed it. Then it ran out of ink right away and I thought maybe I printed too much but still thought I got months longer out of the regular ink.So I bought another one, just in case. If this one runs out of ink right away I will know that you really do get what you pay for.
I'll let you know how it goes the second time around, giving them the benefit of the doubt.

Okay, so I got this ink and did not use it right away. That was one of my first mistakes. Then, once I put it into my printer I noticed that it was not even full. The computer showed that the ink cartridge was filled only half way. I thought that maybe it was my printer, but now the ink wont work at all even though it clearly has ink left because the words did not become faded or streaky. Once again... it was a huge mistake not to test the ink out when I first received it(this was only for the black ink). And as for the color ink, it just comes out very streaky and a little off.It may just be my printer, but this never started happening until I used this ink.Monday, April 14, 2014

We have an HP printer that is very picky about ink cartridges. If it recognizes that we are trying to use something other than the original and VERY expensive HP brand it will not print. These worked perfectly. The printer immediately said they were HP and is happy with them. The print quality is excellent in all colors. I cannot attest to how long they will last, but at about 1/10th the cost of the HP if we even get half as many pages we are well ahead.
