It would seem that the problem cartridges are sold by "generic"

I have purchased several sets from LD, yes they cost twice as much as "generics" but half or less than HPs, they last twice as long and I have NEVER had a quality issue.

I will tell you the truth: I was brainwashed by HP and Canon. I truely thought that I had to buy OEM/company brand and patented ink so the printer would function like it was supposed to (no clogs, color quality, dry time, etc). I have thought that for years. So everytime I ran out of ink in a printer, in all honesty, I would go to Walmart and buy another one for 30 dollars. It makes plenty of sense, since ink from HP for color and black is equal if not greater than that pricefor standard and not extra large capacity!! And Canon, wow, don't get me started. My printer has 5 cartridges, starting at $16.00 a piece, but up to 22.00 for the large black cartridge.

So, as soon as my Canon INSTANTLY stopped working when the ink ran out, I needed a quick fix and fast. Unfortunely, I didn't have much money to buy the Canon ink and have it shipped to me pronto. I chose INK4WORK and was expecting a mediocre product with mediocre shipping (was told 7-9 days, and my school cannot wait that long but I have no choice).

Okay, so I checked the mail today and to my surprise it was there, only a few days after ordering. I realize they shipped from Walnut, CA, and I live in Hemet, CA. But there was a holiday between my order (July 4th). I am overjoyous right now since it came just in time for my school work.

Opened the envelope, everything seemed there. I opened the printer to unload the old and upload the new. I did run into a slight problem, however, with the cartridges spilling ink EVERYWHERE when I opened the plastic deal on the bottom and peeling the sticker off of the top like the instructions showed me. Luckily I was in my paint/junk clothes or I would have been very furious if otherwise. I blame the weather affecting the cartridges because it has not been below 90* where I live in the past several weeks. It was 105 the other day. The heat caused pressure in the cartridges and the ink to spill out of the sponge on the bottom and all over the cartridges. It is inevitable this time of year and this place. If you live in a hot climate/the desert, WEAR GLOVES and OPEN OVER TRASH BAG AND PAPER TOWELS ON TOP OF THAT. You have been warned, my clothes and hands right now are witnesses to that.

Okay, so I replaced the old cartridges with the new ones after wiping the new ones down. My main issues were compatibility and color similarity, as well as dry time.

The printer instantly recognised these non-OEM cartridges, as if they were OEM, plug and playgreat.

I compared old reports that I have printed from school with newly printed pages. Color is very similar in look/colors, so similar I cannot tell the differenceokay passed that test.

Dry time= Faster dry time than OEM/Canon ink. I did the notorious smudge test with the fingertip immediately after print. Ink did not smudge for me, it was dry, almost instantly.

I have read many reviews and listened to skeptics and have come to the conclusion that Canon and HP ink is a total SCAM and rip off. They make their money off of the ink they sell, and make a mediocre amount off of their printers. This product, besides the ink mishap, changed my mind and I will be buying from INK4WORK in the future when I run out of ink again. I am happy with the shipper, fair price, and the product.

The ink for my Mx922 had run out. I bought this printer for the features and the price (both good), but I usually buy a printer for its cheap generic ink. It looked like I was going to be stuck with name brand ink, but I waited a day or two and this and one other generic option became available. For just a few dollars more than the brand name cost on one ink tank, I could get all five. I was a little nervous when I replaced the blue blinking cartridge, but I needn't have been--these have the led to let you know (or at least to make you believe) they are communicating properly with the printer. So far, I've only used the blue, but it popped in like a name brand and it has so far played nice with the printer. The color reproduction is great--it looks as good as the name brand ink to me. I'll update this if additional ink tanks prove to be a problem. I wish these were even cheaper when I see the generic prices of ink for some of the other printers, but I can't really complain about the quality or function. So far, these have been a good purchase.

The separate cartridges in these printers are a great idea. I used to hate throwing out the whole color cartridge in the other printer I had.

However, since each of these cartridges run out all at different times, if you use this printer a lot the warning light that a cartridge is almost running out of ink seems to be on continuously, as each time it is a different one.

These ink cartridges were the best deal I ever got! This Brother printer is such a pain. It seems like every time you use it it tells you one of the ink cartridges is low or empty and since there are 4 of them it can be torturesome. Anyway, last time this happened I ran to Staples to get my refill and it was $15 for each color and $25 for black. I got cheap, and purchased a $20 refill kit which said it would work with Brother cartridges. (It didn't work with this model!) So I checked out Amazon and found 14 cartridges for $15 and free shipping if you spend $25. So I ordered another set of 12 for $10 to hit $25 and I now have enough inkjets to last me a long time. They work perfectly, fit perfectly, and gave me no issues at all. I am thrilled with my purchase and will check this site to refill all my other inkjet needs in the future.

Since I first replaced the OEM black with this ink, I've had the printer either reporting low ink, when the ink is full, or printing anyway, and the black is barely visible. I wind up having to run the cleaning cycle before it will print normally. I've had to do this at least a dozen times in the last two months.

Also, one of the magenta ink cartridges leaked all over the inside of the sealed package, so it's useless.

Try other suppliers.

HP charges about three times more for a new cartridge of this type. I have now gone through 3 of these cartridges with my LaserJet 1018, and I have had no problems. The cartridges last about 2,000 pages each, so the price-per-page is only a little over 1 cent (as opposed to 3 cents per page if you buy the official cartridges from HP). I also buy my paper by the case from Staples, so my total price-per-page of printing is about 2.5 cents. Very good deal, considering that I used to pay over 10 cents per page with an HP inkjet printer and official ink/paper supplies.

HP asked me $70 to replace my toner so I ordered this one. It worked well for a few days before I noticed some uneven grayness at the center of the page. I shaked the toner again and the problem disappeared.

I went with this toner cartridge based on the great reviews. However, maybe it was just a unique incident, but the toner cartridge I received did not have a solid working drum. It could print out a solid black page fine, but normal text came out uneven. And yes, I shook the toner cartridge plenty of times to spread the toner. The toner looks to be fine. I ended up having to transfer the toner back to the original HP cartridge and I'm back in action. I did not contact customer support since I could not afford to be without a working printer for more than a day.

I initially gave this a rave review but I've got to come and change it to reflect a new experience with it. At first, it printed just fine. Couldn't tell the difference between it and the OEM one. Now, a month or so later, it leaves vertical lines. After every 10 copies or so, I've got to remove the cartridge and shake it, and hope that fixes it. If it fixes it, it will re-appear after another dozen copies. Sometimes it will simply have a blank vertical space that runs the length of the page.

I won't be buying another one.

I returned this toner cartridge. Since I pay less than the orignial HP toner price, I don't mind if the volume of this toner is less only if it works cleanly and efficiently. However, it is NOT. There is always three black dots on the printouts caused by this toner cartridge, which is unacceptable. It's just like you print out something from a dirty copy machine. It seems that it is a refilled toner cartridge but is not refilled properly. I returned the product and would rather pay the full price for a normal one.

Print quality of cartridges: terrible. Color cartridges streaked terribly. On test page, the black cartridge did not print. The Printer was printing fine just before I installed these cartridges. I had to buy expensive HP cartridges to meet a deadline since these cartridges did not work. The HP cartridges worked great; no problem with the printer. The only positive thing was the vendor, Vivamart, made the return process hastle free, but I wouldn't buy the cartridges again.

I hadn't used my printer in over a year. When I went to Staples to by the six cartridges, it was going to cost almost one hundred dollars. Instead I checked on Amazon and saw these cartridges and I figured I.'d give them a try. They arrived in less than a week and they fit my printer perfectly. After cleaning the heads, I ran a test sheet and printed a few pages. The print quality was excellent.

I can't predict how durable the prints will be but I'm more than satisfied.

Good alternative to Cannon The price is good and the ink quality is also acceptable.

The ink does go down pretty quick but that may be the design of the printer and the small ink reservoirs. I have had no clogging of the heads and doing a clean of the print head does take a lot of ink. So you don't want to do that too often.

I only use my printer for occasional home use and it sits for several days without printing. So far I have had no issues with this product. I would recommend it.
