Best 12 Canon compatible BCI-6 ink cartridges: Two each of BCI-6BK Deals
I only use G&G after trying others and reading test results from a few inkjet-dedicated sites. Color quality and accuracy is about the same as Canon OEM ink. The one drawback, and the reason for 4 rather than 5 stars, is that prints made with this ink will fade after a few years if exposed to direct light, especially sublight, while prints made with Canon ink seem to be much longer lasting. The fading doesn't seem to be an issue for prints placed behind glass, as in a frame, since glass is a UV filter. And of course prints in the dark (album, drawer, etc.) hold up fine too. Personally, to me, this isn't an issue since I use reasonably priced paper (Kirkland brand photo paper from Costco, which is a direct match to the expensive Canon "Photo Paper Pro" line) and this ink so I consider unframed prints "disposable". And if I want a print to last I just frame it or put it in an album, then it's fine.

I initially wrote a terrible review for this product but found by accident that I had neglected a step in preparing it for use. The minimal instructions on the box indicate you have to do the usual of shaking the cartridge and pulling out the sealing tape, which I did and got very streaky pages.
What they don't tell you is that there's an additional plastic sheet over part of the cartridge very hard to see, as it's the same black, and only faintly marked that you also have to take off.
Once I did that it worked quite well. I can't address the issues related to how long it lasts or its later behavior (the reason for my 3 stars), but I did want to make people aware of this extra step.

I figured it was too good to be true.I guess the price was worth the gamble.
It may have been this specific cartridge.
The toner did not stick to anything for more than a few minutes. Print flaked off almost immediately.
Printer has a loud squeeking noise and a burning smell. Switched to another cartridge and went away.
This was fulfilled by Amazon so I cannot contact seller.
Item being returned.

This toner cartridge is absolute garbage. Less the 500 pages and it's smearing and smudging every single page it prints. Dark smudges on the left side of the page, stripes down the middle, blurred text, etc. SAVE YOUR MONEY! Buy a genuine HP part instead! The extra cost will pay off because this product is a complete waste.

I was a little nervous that these cartridges would not work with my canon I9900, but they work fine and the color is good, if you are not printing photos. The last reviewer does not know what he is talking about. The canon BCI-6 does not have a chip and the printer works just as good, Although the black did not print out as black but blue. There was no true black in the prints that I printed, therefor they should not be used for printing art photos.The ink tanks do not have the required computer chip on the outside of the tank. The printer therefore does not recognize the cartridge, and will not work. Complete waste of two 8-packs.

Great product! I have been using these from OC probably for about a year and have never had a bad cartridge (yet). I was printing an E Book I purchased today and was curious how many pages I would get since I had just put in a new black cartridge. The answer about 150 pages. It took me two full cartridges to print 339 pages and I replaced the second cartridge towards the very end. I would not be able to print what I do if I did not use the refilled cartridges. It took me a few years to give them a try but I was forced into it by the outrageous prices. I'm glad I did.

These work in my printer every bit as well and as long as original HP cartridges. My HP machine "didn't recognize" the cartridge as an authorized HP product. So far I have only used one of the cartridges and it works perfectly except for not resetting the "low ink" notification in the software. But seriously, if you can't tell it's time to replace the cartridge by the way it's printing, you probably deserve to pay full price for the ink. The cartridges arrived quickly. My printer is a Canon Pixima MX850 and this ink cartridge (exactly as pictured) is not recognized by the printer. Complete waste of money. Why are we not allowed to give zero stars? Zero is exactly how useful it was.I've been using these non OEM tanks for a couple of years and am 100% satisfied with them. Good ink, but I thought I had run out of ink at one point, but the problem was that it was clogged. The "clean the nozzle test" didn't work (as usual). So I placed the nozzle holes carefully in warm water for a few minutes. I had a teapot with water boiling. Once I got some steam, I put the bottom part of the cartidge to the steam. Once I saw "ink beads" appeared, I cleaned it and right away put them in my printer and printed something. It works well again. So, before you go buy these expensive cartidges, try these tips and see if they will work again.

Lots of people complain about clogged yet not empty ink cartridges. The Lexmark Z23 cartridges are no different. It is usually ineffective to use the Lexmark's software to clear a major clog. Better to simply remove the cartridge from the printer and set it in a shallow pan of warm water that just covers the nozzles. Soak it for at least an hour, dab off the water with a clean lint-free cloth and try it again.If you like to refill your cartridges and find them clogging more and more often, refill them with just water you'll be amazed!

The ink quality was low and failed to print without making a line through the print. Even when the printer was prompted to use the best quality printing you could still barely read the print. Very disappointed.
