Buy Inktec Brand Inkjet Refill Kit for Canon Pg-240, Pg-240xl Black Ink

This is the first time I've tried refilling my own ink. Everyone makes it out to be a messy, difficult, time-consuming process, but it was super easy. I took my time, watched the video on YouTube, made sure I was crossing all my t's and dotting all my i's, and it took me about 30 minutes. But now that I know how to do it, it will probably take me 10 minutes next time. And everyone says it's messy. I definitely do recommend you take precautions, in case there are spills or something, but I didn't spill a drop of ink. The messiest part was cleaning the pieces in the sink, and that was, well, in the sink with the water running. So I didn't get any ink anywhere it didn't need to be.

Anyway, I highly recommend this product. Seriously. Especially for this printer (I use the Canon MG 3220.) I refilled the original black cartridge that came with it. And the original lasted about .5 seconds...ha! With those things costing $30 bucks a pop, this Inktec refill's gonna save me a lotta dough. You can refill this cartridge prob 4 or 5 times with this system. If you're using the PG XL or XXL cartridges, you can refill fewer times, since they hold more ink.

Anyway, I'll stop while I'm ahead. Bottom line: don't be afraid. Dive in. You know you want to. Everybody's doing it. It'll feel really good. I mean, come on...what's the worst that can happen? My print quality is as good as it was before refill.

But seriously. It's easy. It works. Done.

It is so easy and so much cheaper to use this product to refill your cartridges with ink. I followed the instructions easily, it took me about 10 minutes the first time to do everything properly, but I think subsequent refillings will take only 2-3 minutes. I've refilled once, and there's enough ink to do about 4+ more refills. I'm saving $10-15 with each refill by doing something that takes me a few minutes. The printed pages look fine, just as before with the original ink that came with my printer.

I was going back and forth if I wanted to spend the time and money on a refill kit and finally I took the plunge and bought this kit. This is my first time using a refill kit and based on the reviews its a love it or hate it topic. The kit arrived and the instructions were a bit confusing so I just pulled up a few videos on Youtube and reviewed them before I started this new experience. I placed newspapers down and SLOWLY followed along with the video. I barely got any ink anywhere except for the end when I remove the cartridge from its holder ,but that was expected and it wasn't more than 3-4 drops. I didn't even wear gloves. When I replaced the cartridge in my printer, the printer told me I needed to service my printer, so I held the reset button for 10 secs and restarted the printer and.....Viola! I do not have a low ink message and no problems. The black is just as black as it was with the original cartridge and I will be able to refill it 2 more times (I have the canon 240XL cartridge). If you do each step slowly you should have no problem getting a great result. Below is the video I had used to follow along.

update* I have using my printer daily since setup and have had no issues with the ink. I 'm mostly printing papers and black and white maps. I am not a "fake reviewer" and it took me a alot of thought before I finally decided to purchase this item. I had no problem using this refill kit, and I even purchased the color refill kit( but have yet to try it out). Perhaps some of the other reviews with negative reviews have received an old or faulty product. The process is not difficult at all.

We just received the refill ink today for our 240 cartridge (original cartridge for the Canon MG2120 printer). We made sure to go over the instructions carefully, and the entire refill process took less than 10 minutes.

We had no problem using the little thumb screw included in the kit to make the hole in the cartridge. My husband pressed down hard & gave it a few good turns, and within a minute or so the hole was made.

As soon as we put the cartridge back in the printer, then ran a photocopy of a page with all text & it turned it nice.

I searched around on the web to see how to clear the "low ink warning" message, but none of the suggestions worked. I think the only thing we can do is to stop the message from popping up on our screen, but the light is still on showing the black ink is low.

If we run into any problems, I plan to update here.

worked like a charm. I didn't follow the video instructions via online but supplied instructions were good enough. I've had prior experience with other refill ink system/products (used the continuous ink systems from inkproducts.com). going to buy the gallon ink refills on ebay should last me about 15 years. lol.

We got the Dell P703W free when we purchased a new laptop and we thought it was a pretty good deal. That was until the ink ran out....and fast! These replacement cartridges are GREAT! The price? Well, if you have one of these printers you KNOW how overpriced the ink is...these are spot on!! Dell has tried as hard as they can to make it impossible for consumers to refill their cartridges...and I tried and failed. Great product, great price and what a value.

This ink is absolutely NOT compatible with Dell printers. I put in the color cartridge and my printer recognized immediately that it wasn't a Dell cartridge and then refused to do anything until I took out the offending ink and put in a Dell ink cartridge.

I don't use my printer a lot so it is too early to provide any long-term usage evaluation. As they are the extra capacity type, it will take me almost a year to go through the color cartridge and about 6 months for the black. What I can say, however, is the print quality is outstanding on what I have thus printed. Even using photo paper, I really can't tell any difference in picture quality between these cartridges and the factory brand. One little pleasant surprise was they worked great right out of the box. Previously, I've had to print a page or two to break in a new cartridge, but with these the print quality was great on the very first one.

September 20, 1212 I'm still on the first color and the first black cartridge. The prints are excellent.

I inherited a Phaser 8200 for my church though it is a few years old it still kicks out great bulletins and flyers. The Colorstix at Amazon are at an incredible price, sometimes almost at 10% what Xerox sold the ink for. I'm a happy camper.

Way cheaper than anyone else sells replacement cartridges, but works perfectly. The OEM replacements are a little pricey. These work fine and yield good results. This is for a home computer. We're just printing stuff. No big photo operations or publishing going on here. The goal is just to get a print job done with reasonable results. This works.

Unlike the "original" photograph and description (which showed a BOX), these cartridges arrived loose and separated, as if they'd been sitting around (and "old"). Because of the price and value, I purchased "3" sets of them ("15" cartridges), so I will have to wait and see whether, or not, they are actually any good.

I have to admit , i was skeptical about purchasing ink , refilling cartridges , and having them work in my hp printer. i had heard that hp's sometimes don't work with refilled cartridges . Anyway, it was a piece of cake and works perfectly !!!!! looks just like the hp ink i used to buy at the store ( and got completely ripped off on ).This ink was $12.00 for a huge bottle ( with shipping included), came with syringe , not messy at all , took a few minutes to fill cartridge and put into printer. so far so good. looking at the size of the bottle and how much ink i used to fill one cartridge , i figure i should be able to fill the cartridge about 12 times , which comes out to $1.00 per full cartridge as opposed to $15.00 per new cartridge purchased at the store. that's a huge savings !!!! gonna get the color kit next . the only issue i'm having is that my printer lights are blinking and reading the cartridge as empty when it's full. don't know how to reset it . not really a big deal though, i just put a small piece of electrical tape over the lights ....lol....I usually just use my eye anyway , and i can see on my prints when the ink is getting low.
