After a couple years light use, my 6500 stopped printing black. I tried a new ink cartridge and soaking/cleaning my old printhead, and still no black. I replaced the printhead with this, and it works. A $40 gamble to save the printer and all the spare cartridges I happen to have at the moment. It paid off. Your experience may differ :-(

Out of the blue our HP Officejet 6500 stopped printing black. We tried cleaning the print heads, aligning the cartridges, and even replacing the black cartridge. After a little investigation we read that replacing the print head would solve the problem, and it did. The replacement print head was easy to install and now the printer prints both black and color as good as new.

I purchased this for a HP Officejet 6500 Wireless, model E709n. The product is working great and has restored my printer back to new print specs.

I initially had a problem with installation and emailed customer service. They were extremely prompt in responding back within a couple of hours, and I was able to resolve the question with two emails. I was getting an Ink System Failure alert and no matter what I did--unplugging the power plug, cleaning the printhead, nothing worked. I bought this printhead from InkPlusToner through Amazon.com for $34.48 (no shipping!!). It came in the mail within two days and my printer immediately started working again. The HP technician that helped me initally wanted to sell me another upgraded but refurbished printer for about $130 saying that he didn't have a printhead to sell me. I would encourage anyone to try replacing the printhead first and you may get a few more years out of your printer.

I had to return the ink cartridge because it was defective. My printer did not recognize that the cartridge was installed. After re-installing it a few times, it finally registered but then it would print very, very slowly. Trouble shooting revealed it was the cartridge. I had no problems getting a complete refund.

I received the the cartridge Mar 14/15, printed approximately 30 copies over four days. Today, (Mar 19), I started to print off financial information for tax returns. The first page was smearing and info was looking like my old cartridge running out of toner. I printed another page and it was getting worse. The numbers and letters were barely legible. I am going to contact Amazon or Blake Printing to either send me another cartridge or refund. I am disappointed in this product. They were the most expensive aftermarket product online. I will update after contacting Amazon or Blake Printing!

It worked as stated, which is half the battle. Only printed a few pages to test the cartridge, as its a back up and had no issues.

Was surprised to receive this product without the original Epson box. The cartridge did appear to be in its original Epson wrapper but was missing the packaging material that would have contained the expiration date.

Yes, it is definitely cheaper than genuine ink cartridges from HP. Yes, it works for the most part.

But not all the ink cartridges worked. I have used three so far, and one stopped working as my printer stopped recognizing the cartridge.

You may get all good ones, you may get some bad ones. But for the price, you will have to live with it.

The suspicious side of me wants to believe that HP did a promo with their Deskjet 612C i.e. they sold the printer cheap or with big rebates as part of a system deal and decided to make up for their loss leader by limiting production and raising the price on the cartridge replacements. I would be surprised if there is any difference between the 612C black replacement cartridge C6614 and the much more common cartridge for the 660C other than a little plastic tab on the cartridge case.

This cartridge with tank came with my printer when I purchased it and if I didn't know better (the box had never been opened and was tightly sealed) I would think that it had been used. It does not print up to 80 pages unless the pages are only partially full. In fact, it was empty by the time I got finished printing one three page letter and about another 5 or 6 pages from a web site. Ten or 12 pages is all I got before it was empty. I thought there was something wrong with my printer and didn't even realize, at first, that the the color was gone as I had never experienced this before. One will go broke buying ink tanks and cartridges for Canon's BJC80, 50 and other small, portable printers and they are expensive in themselves. I wish I'd never bought it as it's always, always out of ink and never available when I need it.

This is a product that is not readily available in my area. This is the only cartridge that would fit in my Canon BJ85 portable printer. I bought this printer when I began travelling overseas. It fit great in my suitcase. The ink colors are bright and I can print quite a few pages for such a small cartridge.

These are very high in price at other office places. When I ordered them from someone else other than Amazon, the ink was dry in them. I hate returning anything. The color ink cartridge does not work. The machine shows color cartride empty. I reinstalled the old one and it shows it exsists. Live and learn I guess. Sometimes trying to save money can end up costing in the long run. NO more ink purchases on line.

Well I bought these cartridges as a set. It contains two black cartridges and one color for my Lexmark X6150. The price was good. However when it was delivered I got one black and one color cartridge in a mailer ( not the original packaging) OK I understand that to save money they took the cartridge out orf the box and sent it in the mailer. However The second black cartridge was missing. I also noticed the the product id that came on the packing receipt was not what I ordered even though Amazon's receipt ( electronic) got it right. When I asked the shipper about this they said it was coming in two shipments. There was no mention of an incomplete shipment on the packing receipt....aahhhh they messed up and tried to cover it up. The extra black arrived a few days later in another mailer. So I got what I wanted but it took two tries.

The Apple Stylewriter I and II Ink Cartridge for models 1200 and 1500 is easy to use all right, but the ink doesn't go too far!

With Apple being the only game in town (or the world, for that matter) that I or anyone else seems to know about for Stylewriter replacement cartridges, the pricing isn't competitive.

It makes me nostalgic for my old (OK, dinosauric) Imagewriter, whose cartridges lasted four, maybe five times as long as the snappy Stylewriter cartridges. (And did I mention several companies other than Apple made replacement cartridges?)

Ah, but that was then, and this is now. Lucky for all of us Stylewriter owners that Amazon sells the cartridges for less than the megachain discount office supply stores do.

So it's a little easier for a mechanical numbnut like me to bite the bullet (a hands-free operation) while I'm popping the refill in and out with two fingers like an accomplished technician. I did mention the ease of operation...

I purchased this in sept 2012 at a much lower price and from a different vendor, so this review is just for the product itself. I was looking for canon bc-02 replacement cartridges for my bjc-1000 printer and literally stumbled on this. It is exactly the same cartridge but also works in apple printers. So for the price of refurbished cartridges I received new OEM ink cartridges 100% compatible with canon bc-02 cartridges. And they work like OEM cartridges: no streaking or graininess like you sometimes get with poor quality refills.I refill with bulk ink so each cartridge usually lasts for tens of refills, saving me a bunch of dinero. These ( I bought 2) lasted a long time and through many refills.I highly recommend this product even if you are looking for canon bc-02 cartridges instead of apple cartridges.
