This product came so fast I couldn't believe it. However, when I saw where it was shipped from I understood why.

Was out of black ink for my HP officejet wireless 6500. Debated whether or not to try this method of refilling. Directions are not wonderful, but they work. I got a bunch of paper towels, put on the gloves provided, put the hyperdermic needle together, drew the ink and inserted the needle in the little depression on top of the cartridge as shown on the directions. Wasn't sure how much ink to use, but luckily as I finished pushing the plunger, ink started coming out of the bottom, which I assume means it was full. The only problem I had was the needle took a lot of pressure and twisting to insert, and when I was done it was a little hard to remove, so I pulled hard and when it came out it "splattered" a little bit of ink on my paper I had down. Probably will squeeze a kleenex or paper towel around the needle next time that I pull it out of cartridge. Anyway, printed 3 or 4 test sheets. The first couple were a little wet and I could barely smear the ink. The last one I could not smear. Also, my computer does not remind me that I am low on ink as some review stated. So, even tho this product has not been used extensively yet, I don't see why there will be problems in the future. If there is, I will re-review product.

I bought this instead of purchasing the cartridge because the colors looked fun and the "green" idea is getting to me. I was surprised at few steps it took to refill my cartridges. Will certainly purchase more.

OK, so it is a huge pain to refill ink cartridges. I would recommend looking on youtube for a demo of how to fill them. It is messy. HOWEVER, it will save you a lot of money. And this kit gives a lot of ink.

It's the 2nd time I order from these people and service was quick and as promised. Since I wasted part of 2 of the containers in my first attempt to recharge the cartridges, they IMMEDIATELY sent me 2 new bottles. Impressive.

That is the good news. The bad news is that their instructions need updating. Holding an original yellow closing tab or piece of eraser with a rubber band to the outlet will prevent spills. I found that filling on that outlet side -that contains internal spongesmay dislodge some which may lead to spilling. I found that making a hole about 2x the size of the filling needle on the opposite (window) side with a pointed knife and then reclosing with a very cheap hot glue gun is fast, clean and effective.

Rather than paying big bucks to HP and wasting cartridges, this brings the cost of color printing probably down by 90% and it feels good to beat the system.

Also important, DO NOT over fill: it's easier to do more refills than deal with excess ink running out. It's tempting to overfill however. Then, one may have to use the lever to the right of the cartridge holder and gently clean the printhead itself.

They could consider offering as an option for say $5 more an additional color by choice since not all inks run out at the same speed.

HP has gone out of its way to make sure you can't refill these cartridges. Their cartridges have a computer chip which means you have to guess when the cartridges need filling. The lesson is to never buy anything with HP on it if you can avoid it. That said, the printer seems to work fine when you fill the cartridges with ink from this refill kit. Amazon kept pressing for a review before I could give you some idea how much money you would eventually save, but the kit costs less than a new set of cartridges and there's plenty of ink left. My guess is that you will save about $4 for every $1 you spend on the kit. You may save even more. After replacing the heads, be sure to "deep clean" the heads.
