This little device is a life saver! We are constantly refilling our own ink for our Canon printer. This little device, as simple as it may seem, resets the chip and makes it possible to get longer life out of each cartridge. It doesn't take a second to use, very easy, but saves lots of money. This is the second one we've purchased. Sadly, the first one was in a bag that we took to NY that was stolen, but we HAD to purchase another one to replace it, it's simply is a great item.

I had some cartridges for my IP4200 that somehow the printer managed to mess up the chips. The IP4200 would either get the color of the cartridge wrong or non existant. This resetter set them back to working properly.

Havent got to use this yet but dont expect any problems. USB connection should not be an issue if you already have a printer. I have a hard drive dock / reader that uses the same plug so I didnt have to get anything else. And last but not least just unplug your printer cord and plug it into the the resetter to power it, it only takes a few seconds.

UPDATE: 08/28/2013

Used the chip re-setter for the first time today after refilling three OEM tanks. Worked perfectly. No errors or issues whatsoever.

Just place the cartridge in the re-setter for about 2 seconds and when it lights up you're done. Every now and then it doesn't work on the first try so you have to do it a second time but no biggie. I definitely reccommend it
