I have a canon MX860 All-in-One, and use the scanner and copier function very often. The problem I have with this printer is that if ANY of the inks wells run out, ALL functions including copying, scanning and printing are suspended. This instrument turned out to be an ink hog, even at the lowest settings.

Therefore, these refill kits to me, are SUPER cost effective considering that at the same price of the canon brand cartridges, you can get all 5 catridges prefilled here with additional refill ink to last at least two more cycles. Also, there's no need to purchase a chip setter since these catridges do not require them.

One thing to consider is that you need to replace ALL 5 of the catridges with this type, IE you can't put 4 of these cartridges along with one original canon one. You need to swap them all out, or the printer errors.

Since, I do not print high quality photos, Word documents, and Direction maps...ect come out basically the same to my eyes as the original inks. So for my type of use fast printing, These are perfect, especially for the price!

The cartridges are perfect and easy to fill. But the ink in this kit are not selected perfectly for MP560. The pictures turn to blue after using this kit. Professional printer colors adjustment are required for this kit.

My printer is MX870, less than 5 month. I read the review and decide to give this product a try. I am not heavy user of printer, rarely print photo. After 2 month usage, I found following problems.

1. difficult to install cartridges.

Like a few reviewer mentioned, once you pull the tab, the ink will start dripping, this caused a big mess. There is design flaw which the upper hole let air pressure in and force ink drip. A basic physical principle. They should improve the design.

2. black ink quality is not great.

With OEM ink, I print in black with normal quality. With this ink, I have to print in high quality, otherwise it is fuzzy.

3. color print is terrible.

Since MX870 is photo printer, I printed photo once, the colors are wrong.

If you just print in black with normal documents, considering the price, it is OK. If you want to print color, I suggest you look somewhere else.

I don't understand why people say installation is easy, definitely not for me. Are you their sales people?

This product is a mess to refill. What a disappointment. I wear rubber gloves to fill and the gloves have ink all over them by the time I'm done and the cartridge is not even 1/2 way full. Also the chip lets you print,but does not tell you when the cartridge is empty. I have refilled cartridges before and this is way harder than when I just adapted the cartridge myself. Save your money and buy a product that has a syringe or better yet save your old cartridge and learn how to refill it yourself and just buy the ink and syringe. The ink quality is good.

Great refill kit, works great with my Canon MX 860. Ink Prints well. The only drawback is that you can't use the ink level indicator on your computer to tell how much ink is left (it always shows as full now, even when empty).

But the savings and ability to fill easily is worth the occasional run out during printing, I just try to make sure I top up cartridges once a month (of course will vary with your personal printing). If I could monitor ink levels I would give it five stars. But I still recommend this kit.
