I see no distinguishable difference from the Canon name ink of this color. I mostly print text and occasionally color illustrations or photos. On my Canon printer MG5220, the ink works just fine without any problem. Just have to be careful about ink dripping drops when pulling off the tab at the top of the cartridge. I believe when the tab is in place, it covers a tiny air hole that keeps the ink in by vacuum until ready to use. Once the tab is pulled off exposing the tiny hole, there is no more vacuum and the ink is free to come out of the bigger hole on he downside of the cartridge. To minimize the dripping issue, I partially insert the ink cartridge into the printer's ink slot and then pull/rip the tab off just before fully inserting and snapping in the cartridge. Then, if dripping occurs, it's done where the ink is supposed to go anyway.

I bought these cartridges for my Pixma MG6120, and they work great. They come individually wrapped in plastic, and none of mine were leaking (which can be a problem with some off-brand cartridges). I'm on the first cartridge of my 4-pack, and the first one was easy to install, no mess, and immediately recognized by the printer. I don't do any photo printing, so I can't speak to the photo-realism of the ink colors or how these compare to Canon cartridges.

wow I cant open a generic ink cartridge and install it without getting ink on my hands. Never ever happens with a true Canon brand cartridge. yes, you save a lot with generics, but I also dont think they last as long either... and I look very unprofessional with ink stained hands!

NO more generics for me!
