Amazon's description is wrong. This is the Magenta cartridge for the Epson 3800 (Mfg. sku T580300). The Maintenance Tank for the Epson 3800 is mfg. sku T582000.

This is for the Epson 3800. DO NOT ORDER THIS for your 3880 -it is not supported. Only Vivid Light Magenta and Vivid Magenta can be used. Why Amazon has not corrected this is a mystery.

Good value for the money. This ink is hard to find in a store, so you have to shop around to find the best deal. This is where I buy it reuglarly.

I only use genuine Epson UltraChrome K3 Ink Cartridges for my Epson 3800 printer.

The T580100 is for Photo Black and works with the 3800 & 3880 Epson printers. The prints with the K3 inks and printer combination are just stunning.

PROS:

Genuine Epson ink

Stunning prints

Pigment ink is archival quality

80 ml is a lot of ink

CONS:

Of course we always want cheaper ink, but then 80 ml goes a long way so you get what you pay for.

TIPS:

If you don't print "often", you might consider running a Manual nozzle check about weekly to keep the ink flowing. The frequency may vary based on the humidity of the room, age of your inks, etc., but you want to avoid clogged nozzles!!! A friend of mine spent $700 to have his print heads replaced due to clogs. Ouch!

If the nozzle check shows a few breaks in the print pattern, wait 15 minutes and then run another Manual nozzle check. If your printer is slightly clogged, this may resolve the problem. Hope this helps!
