I have a Canon MX 882 printer and the Canon ink cartridges are ridiculously expensive! Seriously, 50 bucks for only 4 cartridges? The only things missing from that robbery are the mask and the gun! These provide you with five cartridges for less than 10 bucks. Some people say that these do not last as long as the Canon brand, but I sincerely doubt that one Canon cartridge equals FIVE of these! Also, these do have the chips and are recognized by my printer so I can view the printer ink levels via my computer. I cannot specifically speak to the quality or colors vs the original, I don't use my printer for photo printing just basic articles and such. For that purpose, they work great. Also, some people are bothered that there may be a spot of ink on the removable orange cap so what? I can definitely live with that for the price! These are wrapped ALMOST as well as the Canon. Canon comes in a box, these do not. Also, the Canons have a layer of plastic around each ink cartridge and these do not. I think the box and plastic wrap are wasteful and unnecessary anyway. The securely-attached orange plastic piece covering the bottom and the little yellow pull tab on the top are all you need. If these do happen to leak during the delivery process, Amazon has an awesome return policy. Prior to this, I was buying ink cartridges off of Ebay for 30 bucks per 5 pack. Never again! I hope Amazon never stops selling these. At less than 10 bucks, these meet my needs perfectly!Best Deals for Sophia Global Compatible Ink Cartridge Replacement for Canon
I haven't seen much difference between this compatible ink with that of the OEM ink. Looks almost the same, only slightly less intense in color but you can set your printer settings to offset this. However, you will only notice the slight variation if you look very closely. However, it stands alone as a beautiful photo and you would never think that it was in any way deficient or lacking. The colors are true and works very well with my printer. Loving the fact that I can experiment more with my photography without going broke going through ink!Honest reviews on Sophia Global Compatible Ink Cartridge Replacement for Canon
These inks got fairly good reviews for the 4-pack of dye inks. I figured I'd try this in the 5-pack, which includes the black pigment, for about a dollar less.My Canon iX6520 ran out of M, C, & Y at the same time. After replacing those, I've made two black & white prints. The first came out so bad, I made a copy of another photo I printed using the Canon inks. Comparing them side by side, the new prints look washed out and have a cool blue tint. Since I mostly print B&W, I won't even waste the paper to try a color print.
I'm hoping that when it comes time to replace the black cartridges, they will work better than the color inks.
I guess you get what you pay for. You probably won't find any cheaper inks. If you are just printing text and graphs, then these might be a good choice. But if you are printing B&W photos, I don't think these perform nearly as well as genuine Canon inks (at 4-5 times the price).
***UPDATE***
The next day, the print looks less blue. By itself, it even passes for black and white. I still don't like the look compared to the Canon inks, but they did install easily and they are a cheap ink for business graphics. I think it's fair to upgrade this to 3-stars.
