Fits printer and works well. A great solution for a 'legacy' printer to keep it going. Not sure how long (i.e. how many pages) it will last but I've had it for over a year and it's still at it.

This toner cartridge performs perfectly. The toner produces a nice black lettering on the paper and gives an even coating to every letter on the page.

I have an OLD HP 5L printer. Old because the printer has not been made in years -you can only find it on auctions and such -but it runs like a charm. It is a great PCL laser-jet. Problem has always been the cartridges. When they came out new in 1996 they were about 65.00. Now 15 years later they are $20-$45.00. I decided to try this Re-manufactured cartridge simply because of the price $19.00 plus shipping which I think was about $3.99.

I have never really gone with Remanus before for the 5L so I had no idea what to expect. This Remanu though was like heaven. It is actually darker, better quality than the OEM by HP. The ink does not smudge or fade after hours in sunlight (sometimes I have left paper outside for a day or two but really nothing more than that). The cartridge seems to be holding up to heavy printing (about 4-10 pages 5 days a week -I work from home).

I would recommend this to anyone with the 5L and I would recommend the 5L to anyone looking for a PCL Laserjet -they can be found cheaply now (about the price of a cartridge plus exorbitant shipping) and work well with all types of Windows and the PCL allows Linux networking as well.
